They not only get to know your kids but also the parents! The director is amazing - very sharp and quick to take action. It definitely helped that my best friend went there with me, and I learned a lot from Indian Harbor. I was part of their swim team for about three years, and through that I learned discipline and made lifetime friendships. I loved everything about it. From the Mako Markets that were held every Friday, to the constant field trips to The King Center; I just loved it. The teachers there were top notch. The ones that made the biggest impression on me were Mrs. Jedlicka, Mrs. Silverthorn, Mrs. Wright, Coach Noggle, and Mrs. Griffin. There were many others as well, but those are the few that stand out most furtively in my memories. I moved away from the school in third grade, not by my choice. My family and I moved out to Las Vegas about six years ago, and my education continued in the Montessori Method. It was this year that opened my eyes to the greatness of this method. I moved to my first public school this year, and it was mediocre compared to the two great Montessori's I've attended. I will be forever thankful for the love of learning that I inherited from them. i rate this inattentive, neglectfully, offhandedly rashly, thoughtlessly,unconcernedly,…read moreunmindfully, without any kind of thought to be concernd about the kids, a good solid negative tillion billion zillion zerooooo!!!!! my 4 year old is sick with a virus which is obviously common to children attending daycare.. what makes this school a horrible place to trust your kids to be taken care of out of your care, is the fact that my son got sick and the firdt day he was feeling under the weather this is bs they pulled, i was running a few minutes behind to meet the bus at home to get him so i called and informed the daycare that i would be right there and if she could inform the bus driver for me, she agreeded to do so and then proceeded to tell me that she thinks that .y son had a fever and was not feeling well that day, and she said the reason behind not callling me to come get my baby cause he wasnt feeling well was because they fojnd this out as he was getting on the bus that he was feeling warm. okay so fast foward to me getting to the bus to get my baby off , as i open door he is crying his eyes out saying he dont feel good anx he was hot as ever, i asked the bus driver why they didnt call me she told me they werent sure, and that he was laying under his blanket under the air vent and they thought thats why he was hot, please just make that even make sense to me.. so thats two different stories. here is the third, he was sitting at a table and looked sad and the teacher went up to him amd touched his arm and he felt hot, but no one took his temperature and biggest problem is they never called me !!!!! the next day i kept him home and he was okay and no fever, so the next day i gave him motrin before taking him in just incase but still no fever so he attended that day, well i decided to pick my baby up and drop him off to and from school that day, when i went to pick him up , the rude owner was sitting in the front which is to who i assume to be her family, didnt greet me and always looks like she hates her job, so my son and a teacher walks out the door to me and as im walkkng off she decideds to tell me "oh ma'am he was saying his throat was hurting him, and again my child was burning up, and still got no freakjng phone call to inform me of this, so i gracefully asked why again they didnt call she said it only happened 10 mins ago , so i asked the owner if she could correct this with her staff members and she aaid "she woild look into it" wtf!!!! as i got to my sisters jouse i took my childs temp and it was 103.4 !!!!! i called and spoke to the owner and asked basically what in the heck was so hard about keeping a eye on my baby, and most importantly not informing me of this not one time, not one phome call , not one single time did i even get a notice on the app i have, which is useless!!!! the owner told me that if i didnt like the fact that they dudnt call me that i ciuld take my child elsewhere!!!! i am so disgusted by this and they dont care not only about my baby but the other children in there, they have not sent my baby home with anything fun that they made, the first day my childs cup was lost, and now he is sitting at home with (adenoviruses are a group of viruses that typically cause respiratory illnesses, such as a common cold, conjunctivitis (an infection in the eye that is sometimes called pink eye), croup, bronchitis, or pneumonia. in children, adenoviruses usually cause infections in the respiratory tract and intestinal tract. this daycare is very not worthy and not trusting to ever watch my child again and he is being removed monday morning, i pray that this daycare either closes or they get a better staff, the owner needs to be put in check and god doesn't like ugly so i won't do to much besides this cause what you put out into this world you receive so she will be given what is deserved to her by the lord. don't put your child in this facility anx if they already are then goodluck and remember to always ask your child about their day cause this place doesn't inform you of not one thing that goes on. my rating : negative 383888q929298383837837882828282!!!!!!!! yall get no stars from me !!!

I love this church, I've been attending several years now, and I think I'm a rare breed of…read moreMillenial who enjoys attending a traditional church service without a band and without a big projector screen. I didn't grow up Lutheran, I grew up generic Evangelical, so for me the traditional structure of the service, called the "liturgy" is fascinating and unusual. I feel like I get in touch with the roots of the early church when we kneel and start every service with confession & forgiveness, sing short songs between parts of the service, stand for the reading of the Gospel, give each other a sign of God's peace by shaking hands and saying "Peace be with you" with the folks around us, sing from the hymn book, and take communion every Sunday as part of the eucharist. (Roman Catholics reading this are probably like "hmm, sounds familiar") The music is wonderful, with both piano and organ at every service, plus a great vocal choir and handbell choir during the school year. If you love to sing or listen to music, try this church because we sing at least 3 hymns every service, plus 4-5 voluntary hymns during communion, plus 3-4 short pieces of liturgical music during the service. Haha, if you hate hymns...don't say I didn't warn you! I feel like it's easier to hear "the still, small voice" of God in this beautiful sanctuary with its amazing stained glass windows (when's the last time you saw stained glass that included people of color? And a space shuttle? And Frank Lloyd Wright's midcentury icon, "Falling Waters"?) While the service format is traditional and might even be easy to compare to a Roman Catholic service, the ELCA denomination is refreshingly progressive, allowing women to be ordained as ministers since 1970 (the current head of the church in the US is a woman) and allowing pastors to marry. This church welcomes people of different orientations with the radically inclusive love of Jesus Christ - although be aware that like many beachside churches, there aren't a lot of young people who attend, but I've still felt welcome. Pastor Jay's message is always Christ-centered, and I love that he backs up his sermons with scripture and also takes time to educate the congregation about historical norms when Jesus was alive, and also tell us about the different meanings behind the ancient words and languages the Bible was written in. You can listen to his sermons on the church website. Every July he does sermons based on questions from the congregation about Christianity in general. I love this transparency and willingness to entertain questions about something that some people think is "unquestionable" like faith and religion. I also always feel better when I attend, I found the people there to be friendly, but not overwhelming. I started to attend when I was in a place where I didn't know if I wanted to attend church at all, but every time I attended a service I was filled with a sense of peace and well being, and that kept quietly drawing me back for something I didn't realize was missing in my life.

Resurrection is what church is supposed to be...what Christ wants us to be. We are worship…read moreservices, but so much more. Worship Services...we go at 11 am regardless of the worship genre. Right now we have a wonderful contemporary service with song leaders who are mindful that this is a worship service, not a concert. We learn the songs and they reverberate in my mind throughout the week. Pastor Jay makes this service personal and understandable. His sermon message is the same in our cafe service on Saturdays at 5 pm; our 8:30 traditional service with choirs, bells and organ; and the contemporary 11 am with guitars, keyboard, drums and song leaders. Our friends and our members support an active ministry to the homeless and those less fortunate through a food pantry, a bike ministry, a burger bash for one and all, a laundry day, a hair-cutting day. We seek out our homeless friends and new friends Saturday mornings, not to evangelize them, but to be their friends and put out a helping hand if they want it. As the song says "go make a difference, we can make a difference, we can make a difference in our world". And that's what we are doing at Resurrection, one person at a time.
