We researched and found Lap of Love, and we are so grateful. We called and spoke to Kayla Johnson, veterinary care coordinator. She was so empathetic, kind, and caring. She answered all of our questions and went above and beyond. She coordinated for Dr. Connie to visit our come to help our sweet Lyla girl "cross the rainbow bridge." It was one of the worst days of my life and some of the worst grief I've ever experienced. Dr. Connie was so thoughtful, empathetic, sweet, and caring. She shaved a small piece of fur for us (which I requested), and was so thoughtful in getting a spot with all of our girl's colors while also being respectful to Lyla. She took the most beautiful paw print in clay that we will cherish forever. We chose to have a private cremation for Lyla and we picked up the ashes from our vet in a beautiful engraved wooden box. From the first phone call we made to lap of love, to the very end of recieving the ashes, the communication has been very thorough, empathetic, helpful, and warm. Thank you Lap of Love. Tried to bring my friendly dog back, he refused to go. He happily goes to the vet but not there. I advised of my asthma and no perfume- the dog smells like sweet vomit a mile away. Note 38 pound Portuguese water dog is considered large and the charge is $120 plus charges and tax.

My dog now is 16 and is in longevity vet centers care . He is doing great ! I just got him his dental treatment they were prepared and was available 3 hours later in great shape . So besides needing eye drops for glaucoma and a cataract she required Prednisone. Well we all see these commercials for wonder drugs ( the wonder is why we take them with all the side effects) so even though the Prednisone gave my girl relief it slowly started to effect other systems. Last week in what appeared to be overnight she slowly stopped eating but only drank. That was a red flag. Took her to an emergency facility which was a nightmare. Four hours sitting around waiting for some diagnosis. Every so often someone would come out and give some empty info. Finally a vet came out and provided me with a 3 page plan with an estimate that sent me to the cardiologist. This where Zen Dog comes in. Based on the diagnosis and the plan with no light at the end we felt the best most humane course of action was to euthanize. Spoke with Dr. Ray., he could not have been more understanding and compassionate. He showed up at the house took the time to explain the process. Once comfortable with what was going to happen he started. Dr Ray gave us time to be with her and comfort her until the end. It was a very tough thing to deal with but she went with family around in her home and peacefully. If anyone who reads this is at that point with their beloved pet, Zen Dog is in my opinion a great comforting option
