After hitting up 2 laundromats close to my home, I decided to look elsewhere. They had very few XL washers for all my blankets and the places were rundown and dingy. So I head to Yelp and decide to give this place a chance even though it had only one review. I drove almost 20 minutes to get here, but man it was worth it! The minute I walked in I see 8 brand new XL washing machines calling my name. Score! No waiting AND it's so clean! Plus there's free parking! I don't know what else you could ask for. From now on I won't even bother going to the laundromat that's walkable from my house. Next time it's blanket washing time, I will just hop in my car and head to Scarsdale.

(It also cuts down on the competition you may experience at the other large laundromat in town.) -had a non-urgent question about my laundry card, and Customer Service replied the next day and graciously gave me a credit remotely via web site chat. The cons: -The seats are awkwardly close together. -The Wednesday evening that I went, the attendant, though nice, spoke almost no English, so I couldn't get help for a question regarding the laundry card machine. -The biggest downside for me is the limited number of settings on the washers. You can't select combination of options that is not in the 8 common presets, such as heavy soil warm water, or normal cold wash. There's no option at all for an extra wash or extra rinse. I use all these settings pretty regularly. Anyway, it seems my laundry has come out decently clean as far as I can tell.

So I need to stop every so often, run a few loads through a washer and dryer, then continue driving. So I stopped at SpeedWash and did exactly that. Three stars because the place is clean and the machines are reasonably priced. I had no issues with washing or drying, there are enough tables to fold and there is some seating outside where it's a little cooler. Where it goes wrong is that you must use a proprietary debit card to purchase washes and dries. This is fine but there are no refunds. I asked. For folks who are here repeatedly, this works okay. For someone like me who is never coming back to Westwood, it's a waste of money. So before I left, I handed my card (with $4.50 in value) to a nice woman who was doing her family's laundry with her very well behaved daughter. I pointed out that it's great that she had help, gave her the card and departed before it got creepy. [Review 18328 overall - 161 in New Jersey - 1850 of 2022.]

I drive 40 minutes to wash my clothes in this particular place. The machines are new and great! They accept cash and cards which is super convenient. Last Friday (06/07/24) around 6:30 pm I observed one of the young female workers with her husband and two children washing and folding clothes. I'm not sure if they washed their own clothes or customer's clothes, but it was not right. They let their children to take clean clothes from the dryers and place it in the carts. During the process kids dropped clean clothes on the floor frequently. They stepped inside the carts and on the folding tables with their outside shoes. Again I'm not sure if the worker was there during her work hours or not, but the laundromat looked dirty, with mess inside the machines and on the floor. Kids were on the loose! Running and climbing everywhere! I'm not against children in the laundromat, but everything has its own limit.
