Our first time at rocking crab . We both ordered the shrimp with no head on it and we were asked if we wanted all the spices and how hot did we want it ? I said mild as I don't like my mouth burning . When the shrimp came out it was enclosed in a plastic bag like a ballon with a piece of corn and potato . Plenty of shrimp but still a bit too spicy for me . Service was good and fast . Restaurant has comfy ambience. Parking is good . The lunch prices are a lot lower than evening.

I've been here a few times, as this is one of my favorite boil in the bag seafood spots. They have really great drinks, their food is pretty good, and the staff is always nice. This particular time we had Summer, she was really nice and patient. There was a mixup in the kitchen as they gave me the wrong order but it was handled very quickly and diligently. We had a lot more food, but I forgot to take pics . But we also got the crawfish, blue crab, and black mussels. What I love about this place is that, even though their "specials menu" has specific specials for specific days, they always let you get whichever special you want. I got the everyday special and my daughter got the Thursday special even though it was the weekend. They play good music which my kids LOVE. I will definitely be back!

Came in and was immediately seated. We ordered some drinks from the bar, my rocking marijuana was super strong and not in a good way. It was hard to finish. We ordered the tilapia fried basket, shrimp basket, kids Mac and cheese with fries and a seafood bag with black mussels and shrimp. The food was very good. They had good music playing . I think you should give this place a try if you're looking for seafood.

My friend and I were going somewhere else for dinner but things didn't work out so we decided to come here instead. It's located on blanding in the starbucks plaza. The parking lot was a decent size, but you'll probably have trouble finding parking. When we walked in we were greeted right away and was seated at a table. My friend and I ordered calamari, sweet potato fries, a make your own boil, and a drink. The calamari was really good and the sweet potato fries were great. (Got a little tipsy so I didn't take any photos because I was too busy chowing down the food). For the seafood boil we got the one with shrimp, snow crab legs, blue craps, mussels, and crawfish. Omg it was just simply delicious; packed with flavor, jammed with spices, and finger licking yumminess. Chef's kiss at its finest. As for the drink, I love it! It was a little strong for me, got a little tipsy, but all is well. Hey, I'm still alive to write this review, so I'm good. I ate a lot of food so it helped with the alcohol :D 10/10 highly reccommend. Our waitress Ava did a marvelous job! Thank you Ava!

Staff and service was OK. Food was mediocre. I fell the food should have been a little fresher for the price. The restaurant was clean.

Rocking Crab is a seafood restaurant and bar that just opened for business today (10/17/19). It resides in the same building as the former Ginza Sushi. Walking inside, you are immediately greeted by the host. Cool nautica themed interior. They have a Bar to sow your drinking needs, over 5+ TV's with Sports and all kinds of other shows. They serve Baskets, Oysters, Wings, Po'Boy sandwiches and my favorite, the seafood boils. I wasn't really too hungry so I ordered the Oyster Basket (4/5). Generous amount of fries. The only thing I could take away from what I ordered was the batter was harder compared to most battered Oysters I've tried before. Lastly, A+ service kudos to Holly, my waitress. I'm definitely coming back to Rocking Crab with the family. I have my eye on their Seafood Boils ;) See you then Rocking Crab...

This place has awesome sea food! Got one of the boil bags with crab and lobster with blue crab and it did not disappoint. The raw oysters were amazing as well! Great ambiance and good waiters!

I was very pleased with our first visit to Rocking Crab. We had received a coupon for 10% off our ticket and thought it was well worth our time. We love a good seafood place and like other similar establishments, it was solid. I tried the special which was 1 pound of blue crabs and 1/2 pound of headless shrimp. Most places have Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter and a combo of the three BUT this place had cilantro lime! I was intrigued. Very cilantro and very garlicky with a less prominent lime flavor. It was delicious. Medium heat was a lovely slow burn through the whole meal. We didn't stray from the steamed menu except for a kids meal for my son. His fries were crispy and the nuggets were nuggets (I couldn't convince him that he does, in fact, actually like fried shrimp. Oh well). Our server was nice and the space is a very good size. It could replace Crafty Crab as our new seafood haunt.

I come here soo much, you can't go wrong with the snow crab headless shrimp with EXTRA corn, potato's and egg. their signature drinks are so strong, I recommend the hennythings possible.

I decided and came for lunch today and I will say it did not disappointment like I thought it would. I'm always down to try a place atleast once. So let's get into this review shall we!? Upon walking in my husband and I were greeted by the hostess and you'll see a big chalkboard with their weekly specials. We were sat in the back by a window so it was nice to have a view. Everything looked good on the menu. We started off with shrimp and some oysters and the oysters were topped with collard greens and cheese they were good but the oysters were just HUGE! For my entree I had a shrimp po'boy with a side of the bacon collards again they were really good. My only issue is that for my po'boy the bread was not a roll but it was still satisfying. My husband had the fish platter with grouper and trigger fish with fries and coleslaw. We absolutely loved the grouper it reminded me of red snapper. However we will be back and I love a cutie, rustic looking restaurant.

For the short quick review, good food, great prices, great service, good atmosphere…read more I had written a long detailed review and accidentally hit the back button and it deleted so this review will not be as long as my first. I believe in honest food reviews so here is my take. When I come to Florida my go-to is the fried seafood platter. When I was looking for seafood restaurants near me I came across this place with great reviews and decided to check their menu. $22.99 for a seafood platter that included all my favorites. I knew for that price I had to check it out. When we pulled up, I realized this is the same place we had eaten at about 11 years ago but could not find again since it is not very close to the place we stay usually and is off the main road so not easy to locate. I am happy to say everything I remembered about the place was still the same. The food was good, the service was good, and we liked the atmosphere. Our server's name was Amy and she was very pleasant and friendly and did a great job. Thank you amy! I will go a little more detailed about the food. Don't get me wrong, you aren't going to get the quality of a fish camp where the fish and chips are 30 plus dollars. However I am not made of money and don't want to spend over $40 for a seafood platter. Everything on the platter was really good and for $22.99 you can't beat it! It came with three or four pieces of fish, plenty of shrimp, oysters, scallops, clam strips, and a crab cake. I like the fact that the fried fish on the platter was either flounder or cod, your choice, which is much better than some places that only give you tilapia. The platter also comes with two side items which I got French fries that were really good and crispy, and cheese grits which were also really good. Both side items I will definitely be getting again. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the key lime pie. Overall, this place is a Hidden Gem in my opinion. The prices are great for the quality of food that you get and somewhere I look forward to returning year after year. In fact we are here for another 5 days and there is a good chance I will be back before we leave!

We ordered a chef's salad but received a side salad instead and were still charged for the chef's salad, which was disappointing. The fish of the day was the only decent entrée and the one bright spot of the evening. Overall, the food quality did not match the prices or the reputation of the restaurant. I think they're more focused on maintaining their reviews than consistently delivering quality food and service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be back.
