I arrive and go through the gate, then 2 folks use a power wash and spray water on parts of my car that need help. Then go through the car wash which has different foam soaps, brushes, cloths, lights ... and then the drier mostly dries my car. Then, around the building to the free vacuum. There are also black shammy cloths for finishing up the drying and wipe down the interior of my car. Love these. I have noticed other people drive from wherever and utilize the free vacuum even without the car wash The employees are helpful, friendly and seem professional. I took this to Panther Car Wash to try their touch free. It was ridiculous the price for just 1 wash so it made sense to sign up for the unlimited monthly which charged me $30.78 with tax. I downloaded the app and signed up, then got the wash. After I got the wash, it was not as expected. It really didn't do much. I could basically swipe my fingers along the vehicle and smear up residual dirt. It was visible. I attempted to call the car wash to see if I could get my plan refunded. The guy that answered said he doesn't have cash. He said they can only use so much pressure. I could't get ahold of the company because their email addresses are invalid. So I opened a dispute because I was unsatisfied with the services received. They responded to my credit card company "he was unhappy with the wash provided as it is touchless. He still has the option to use the soft touch wash that will clean his vehicle. We have hundreds of people on this plan. So unfortunately he has been canceled but he agreed to the subscription terms." The wash would have been fine had they had a decent amount of pressure. Cars treated in ceramic coatings have their warranty voided if they go to a touch car wash, so I did not have the option to use their touch car wash in this instance. As long as the nozzles are over 18 inches from the vehicle, it shoudl not cause any damage, so if you need car washes and don't need touch free, it's a better value to just go to Club Car Wash where I went for years. $20 with Veteran discount for unlimited MVP washes. This car wash could have just refunded a customer not happy with their service, and I probably would have written a good review, but they just wanted every penny kept. I would have been happy with a partial refund since I did get 1 wash. Total waste of $30.78.

In my experience the staff has always been friendly, My only complaint about this Kwik shop location is that the car wash is out of service a lot of the time, which is particularly annoying when you pay $10 for a car wash but then are never able to receive the car wash you paid for because the receipt expires before the wash is ever fixed. Considering this is one of the main carwashes in the town of Derby (aside from the new wash that just opened up down the road) I would say they are losing out on a lot of business by not keeping it well-maintained.

After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. They…read moreperformed the estimate and sent it to me, and then I provided it to my insurance company - all good so far. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.
