It's a family owned place, which I love, and everyone is nice. I don't get offended. the sign is right in front of my face. eh.... I love their Olives center counter. Its not really 'tall person friendly" so I usually make someone vertically challenged do it for me, after I ask nicely. (What? sometimes a lady doesn't feel the need to squat while selecting her Olives.) Prices are really good here on most items. For example I make my own bread at home, so I buy the Semolina flour here at $1.00/lb. The bakery up the block I think is $1.50 or $2.00. Jumbo eggs at 2 dozen for $3.00. (limit is 6 dozen) Pasta is cheap too, most of the time $1.00/lb. He's also a big hit in the summer for me, he carries the huge bags of the good charcoal that I use for my barbecue pit. So I lug it around after paying for it. (Sorry, no delivery at this place.) But if you needed to make multiple trips, he'll just put it aside for you. :) They also have a wide selection of imports from Italy and Sicily. From the soaps to the chocolates, to cleaners.
