Every time I have come the staff have been really friendly and helpful. The course is beautiful and challenging. I wouldn't say it is too long of a course but you better have some accuracy or you will be in for a long round! They also take good care of it too. The greens are well groomed and the fairways are pristine. I don't know the exact details on membership but it is a good option if you live in north jersey. Always like coming here! I have played it, as a guest, under both owners: - The social environment revolves around someone who can take a joke, and is not the pompous, "Jake and Sally got into Columbia because they're so smart" folk - New owner invested, what I would guess, a strategic amount of capital to reshape five holes holes. These holes (especially #3) are ridiculous now - The cost to join will be worth it if you're under 55 years old, and/or, don't have a stick up there - TW Tillinghast (original designer) would be proud about the on course updates Well done, Rob. Came here for the PGA Championship on Sunday, and it was great. Course was super muddy and soaked…read morefrom all the rain, but the guys were still able to play. Fortunately, my cousin had gotten us tickets to the VIP centennial village area his company was hosting, so that was awesome. As we drive a Mercedes, we luckily found out there was a special Mercedes Benz loyalty parking lot for MB owners. Basically, if you were driving a Mercedes, you could park in this lot and have a much shorter shuttle ride to the main gate of the PGA than if you had parked in the regular public parking lot. The shuttle dropped us off right at the main front gate, which was awesome. Walking in was cool at first, but after walking about a mile we thought the entrance was way too long. We wound our way down the path through the other course that they weren't hosting the tournament on, and it felt like it took forever. The course was very muddy, we were really happy we wore crappy sneakers. We saw a lot of unhappy people who took their shoes off and just splashed around in the mud the whole time, disgusting. The merch tent was great, spent a few bucks in there. They were charging a good amount for food and drink, but as we had the VIP village tickets, we chowed down on free wings, sandwiches, hummus, cookies, and beers. It was great. The VIP deck had an ok view, but we were very close to the 18th tee and green, so we spent a lot of our time going back and forth between the deck and the 18th tee box. The tri state area crowd was typically loud and boisterous, cell phones were out everywhere, and I couldn't believe how close they let you get to the players on the 18th tee. It was awesome to see all the guys up close, from Adam Scott, to Rickie fowler, to seeing Jason day hit his tee ball and second shot before making eagle. We did not walk all the way up to the 18th green, as the hill on the way up was a disaster with people and mud, so we didn't see the clubhouse. There were tvs in the VIP area though, which was great, because after watching players hitting second shots into 18 green from the VIP deck, we could walk a few feet inside and see them putt out on tv. All in all it was an awesome day, course looked great and I'd love to play it one day.

I've been hearing about this course for about 2 years now, so we finally decided to play it. The…read moreonline booking was fairly easy. I even got an earlier time, a few days before, which was great because it's only light out until about 6:15PM. My brother and I were thrilled to play another Seth Raynor design, and Francis Byrne did not disappoint. The course was in great shape, greens were running about an 11 on the stimp, and the leaves were in the midst of changing to their autumn tones. The Pro Shop staff was friendly and the starter went out of his way to explain the course to us, before we made our way to the first tee. We were teamed up with 2 guys in a cart. Luckily, one of them had played the course before, so his knowledge was much appreciated. On a whole, it was a great day. Definitely worth the $65.00 (18 Walking). My only gripe is that there needs to be a Ranger to patrol the course. After about the 12th hole, the course got severely backed up, and we were waiting on every shot. The three-some in front of us couldn't take it anymore by hole 16, and they jumped to a different hole on the front. There was a point where we did not think we'd finish before dark....but we did !

They have individual lanes which are sufficient for 1-2 people at most. It seemed like most people there were actually practicing. They have membership options and I found it to be reasonably priced overall. The golf clubs you can rent are pretty cheap and not great quality-wise. Majority of people brought their own. Definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for a cheaper, less social version of Topgolf.
