He called to let me know he was running a little late and told me when he would arrive (think he was within 5 minutes of stated time). That in itself was so respectful and kind. I've worked with a large number of companies and their staff. Dominic one of the first to ever take the time to let me know. Usually they show up sometime within 3-4 hour time frame company promised. If they call it's usually "I'm here in front of your house!" What a gentleman! Was done in an hour. Perfect installation. Could not have been more thorough in explaining care and maintenance. Left the room spotless. Seriously, I never write reviews. But he was impressive. Even looked at some paint samples and gave me honest opinion, so much appreciated. Kristiaan is, hands down, the best contractor you will find in the Twin Cities. My husband was…read morecatastrophically injured in an accident and we were told we need to move somewhere that can accommodate his wheelchair and other disability needs. Very expensive. When we reached out to Kristiaan to ask if he could help us remodel our kitchen, he not only agreed to give us a quote without charge, he also came to our house and taped out the entire design on the floor, no charge. None of the other contractors were willing to put in that kind of time and effort without a guarantee that they would get the job. Kristiaan not only worked with the IKEA plans we had designed, but he further figured out the engineering required to support the large, open span that we had to have suspended over my husband's wheelchair. Everything you see in the photos is brand new and done by Kristiaan. What you don't see is that, on the other side where we already had IKEA cabinets, he moved the entire cabinet run over and built a stabilized support for our new kitchen sink. He also worked with the countertop installers to get us the cutouts that we needed, and recommended the best outlet/lighting system for us. And when IKEA dropped the ball and failed to deliver the promised toekicks, Kristiaan developed a workaround and personally went to IKEA to pick them up for us. A good friend of mine who is a luxury home builder in the Twin Cities said that Kristiaan basically fulfilled the idea of "aging in place" that is extremely popular now. Instead of moving to a "senior" type development, hire Kristiaan instead to make over your current home into your dream home. Disability, aging, or other circumstances don't necessarily mean you have to leave the home you love. Thank you, Kristiaan, for your impeccable work and your incredible decency.

This is a more cost effective way to remodel, but is not the same as using a general contractor i.e. you have to manage timing in your project for electrical, plumbing, counters, paint. Our installation was timely, professional, and they kept a clean workspace. Great company!

I can't afford to redo my whole counter at the moment, but I needed just a fairly small piece of stone--about 1.5 sq ft--for a countertop addition. Even for my tiny project they discussed my needs in detail and suggested a necessary adjustment I would have overlooked. I am beyond grateful. Now I have a beautiful custom piece of stone putting the rest of my laminate counters to shame, and reminding me of who to call when I can afford to redo the rest... Just had the most gorgeous kitchen peninsula installed for WAY WAY less than I would have thought…read morepossible. The install was incredibly fast and incredibly through. Like, I told them they didn't have to re-attach the corbels under the overhang because I planned to paint them first, and they, without any prompting on my end, sanded the old glue off the backs of the corbels so they'd be easier for me to re-attach later! Where do you find service like that anymore?! Plus the warehouse staff went to incredible lengths to help me find just exactly the stone I wanted- and their remnants are HUGE so I could get much better stone than I should have been able to afford. Someday when I can fix up the horrible old vanity in the upstairs bathroom I'll be happy to return to these folks for it.
