Decent care, but they run this clinic like a factory. No personal attention, long waits, and unapologetic staff. I couldn't imagine a less entertaining environment for children than the waiting area, and an hour of doing literally nothing is just too long for small children. I've never seen a doctor within an hour of our appointment time. This strikes me odd, since my kids have never had more than 5 minutes of time with the actual doctor, and I can't imagine it takes much longer than that to dictate notes about the visit after the fact. Again, the doctors are all competent, but I suspect that most of them don't have or even like kids, as they have all the bedside manner of an alarm clock. Pro-tip: They close the examination room door after the nurse does the initial consultation. If you open it, and let your toddlers wander into the halls, and play with the equipment, they seem to get a doctor into the room a little quicker. read more

Everytime I take my nephew to an appointment they are a hour late and then I get harassed about my time like I have nothing better to do then wait for the doctor. I get that things come up but not everytime and asking if I'm annoyed because I'm late to making lunch is beyond rude and very unprofessional. My kids will never go here. read more

The staff is very helpful and nice. The waits are always reasonable. They have separate sick and well waiting areas. And Doctor T is awesome. I have had nothing but BAD experiences at this practice. I took two of my children in for different illnesses over the past six months and they BOTH were horribly misdiagnosed! The first time we wound up treating my 13-year-old for two months because they misdiagnosed her with an allergic reaction. If they had diagnosed her correctly, the issue was easily fixed with medicine. The last time my five-year-old had stomach cramps and tried to vomit and pass out every time she ate, and I took her into the office figuring they couldn't possibly screw up TWICE. I told them "this is NOT the stomach virus, she HAD the stomach virus, I know what the stomach virus looks like, THIS IS NOT THE STOMACH VIRUS" and they diagnosed her with...you guessed it...a stomach virus. Cut to a few hours later and an emergency trip to Blakeney Urgent Care (which is as wonderful as this place is awful) and after a PROPER examination they found an intestinal blockage. If we had listened to the pediatrician at the Fort Mill office of Rock Hill Pediatrics my daughter would have landed in the hospital...or worse. So now we're working on getting all my kids' records transferred BACK to their old pediatrician an HOUR away, and guess what? They LOST the record request! Listen, if I'm willing to drive an hour away to take my kids to the doctor when Fort Mill Pediatrics is FIVE MINUTES AWAY from where we live now, what does that tell you? UPDATE: Almost TWO WEEKS after sending the original transfer request they've basically stopped giving us excuses...as a matter of fact they've STOPPED responding to our requests! I will actually have to take my daughter to an urgent care tomorrow for a sinus infection because this office won't do its job! Ridiculous! read more

I've always had good experiences here over the last 13 years. Wait time has not been bad; sometimes long but mostly about 15 minutes. Doctors are wonderful and nurses are too. I have established nice relationships with them over the years and the two doctors we work with the most always know us when we run into them outside the office. They have very flexible hours and a great P.A. My childrens' healthcare has run the gamut from check ups to major surgery. Rock Hill Peds is always on the ball. read more

So as some of you know KR gets sick with a fever a lot. For the last year to 18 months so Dr.McCall at Rock Hill Peds referred her to a specialist Dr.Patel. Her diagnosed her with a type of Periodic Fever Syndrome. He said as soon as her fever comes back she needs to immediately have blood work. It came back last night at 5:26. I called Rock Hill Peds (Fort mill location) the lady said the lab was closed & to call back at 8am. So I call & another lady says we don't do labs here on Saturday, idk why she told you that. She tells me to go the Rock Hill location at 9. The lab will be open. Ok we get there & sign in & go straight to lab. The 2 ladies there were amazingly nice. They can see her orders for blood work in the computer but can't actually do it. It has to be referred from a dr at RHP fort mill location. I'm starting to get mad at this point. She calls RHP Fort Mill & asked for the dr working today to send the orders so KR can get her blood work. This after several minutes of arguing with the front desk lady & she getting an attitude with the lab ladies. Finally we get a dr response & DR.WALLACE REFUSED TO PUT HER ORDERS THROUGH!!! I'm about to flip out at this point & praying for Jesus to keep me calm. So now we're driving another 30 mins to Levine's Hospital to get the blood work done & all this time KRs Fever is 102.6, she doesn't feel good & is whining & now has vomited in the truck. I WILL BE MOVING ALL 4 CHILDREN TO ANOTHER PEDIATRICIAN OFFICE ASAP!! This is not the first problem we've had but I promise you it will be the last!!! read more

We have used Rock Hill Pediatrics for 3 years and have had a great experience with them. Our children see Dr Cook who is personable and takes his time with us. We appreciate the after hours and weekend hours that are available for walk-ins and emergencies. I, for one, am grateful that this office requires vaccinations for children. This facility is the best that I have ever experienced. Sadly to say, my 6 year old son has had at least 5 pediatricians who I did not overall appreciate. However, when I walked into this facility it was everything that I have been searching for. The staff was friendly and most importantly Davis Craig MD showed concerned in my child's well being and answered all of my questions. Worse pediatrician. My kids have all gone here at least once. The Doctor has this matter of fact attitude. He never knows what's wrong with your child when he enters the room. My daughter when in yesterday complaining of ear and throat soreness. My daughter has to have her ears drained. This was explained to doctor and the staff. He checked her throat everything was good she had a viral infection. She kept telling him to drain her ears he took out a tool and dug in her ears to take the wax out, and didn't get it all, thats why we drain. That is not a drain. He does not listen! When they were finished the staff was in a hurry to get her out they didn't know which pharmacy to send her prescription too. Instead of calling me the Mother they just sent it where ever. I was stuck calling different Walgreens to find out where to go. I will never ever take my children back here. This was not the only bad experience but it was enough. They seem money hungry and quick to prescribe so that you can go away. I don't appreciate the customer service and worse the doctor. The person we trust with our kids. read more

Let me first say, my child survived to 3 with this group. Wonderful! Going to them for convenience, I thought being in a room full of patients, waiting 30 minutes or so for our scheduled appointments was normal for a pediatrician. I also forgave the "our system is down" remark I got each time I left an appointment, having to call later to schedule while at work. I tried to look past the misdiagnosis of pneumonia. They called later to tell me "Nevermind. It's not that!" The straw that broke the camel's back was when the doctor started to say my daughter's fear of the place was a problem that might need therapy!!!! Hahaha. Any child waiting 30 minutes + in an office with sick, crying children would be scared. I was scared. Anyways, don't waste your time with this place. If you can, use Charlotte Pediatrics! They are wonderful and I LOVE Dr. Spell. I explained our experience with this place and he has been so understanding with my daughter. I felt very safe bringing my new daughter to this practice (Dec 2015) Save time. Go elsewhere if at all possible. read more

All 3 times I've been front desk has been very rude and seemed to be bother that people were there to check in. I take both of my kids to this clinic and have done so for several years now. This is by far the best pediatric office that I've experienced. Yes, the waits can be long but everytime I've called with the sick or injured child, they have gotten us right in for an appointment or given us good direction on how to address the situation. My kids see two different care givers and both are fabulous. Our experience has been that the staff, nurses, and doctors are very friendly and take time to listen to both kids and parents. read more

I can never get an appointment when my child is sick. In the last 4 months, I tried 3 times to bring my sick child in. I ended up at Minute Clinic because they had no available appointments. Sports physical appointments are scheduled 6 weeks out. I have 5 children and have been coming here for years. I think they have too many patients and do not offer personalized service anymore. I asked for a referral to a pediatric specialist in Greenville for an autism evaluation for our 5 yr. old son during his annual well-visit a month ago. Despite the fact that he's been in speech therapy for 2 years, has an IEP in school, and received in home services through the state, the NP treated us as though our request was silly. Nonetheless, she said she'd put in the referral. A month later, the specialist in Greenville still does not have our son's referral or records. I've been on the phone many times now with both Fort Mill Ped's and the pediatric specialists office trying to get this resolved. This is absolutely insane and an unacceptable level of service. When you're dealing with a possible autism diagnosis, time is of the essence. Fort Mill Ped's has demonstrated that they couldn't care less. read more

They have lost my daughter;s medical records twice and everytime I call to see if they have them I am either put on hold for EV-ER or hung up on. After going through several other doctors at RH Peds in Fort Mill, we have finally found a keeper! I have never been really fond of the other doctors at this location, but given the limited selection of pediatricians in Fort Mill, I stayed with them (and thankfully, my daughter is hardly ever sick). Last year, my daughter had a rough few months and we frequented RH Peds often. First, she was diagnosed with mono and then, after recovering from that, she received a concussion after a nasty fall from a horse. Since my daughter is hardly ever sick, she didn't really have an assigned pediatrician. Luckily, each of these times, she saw Dr. Bozin. Dr. Bozin is WONDERFUL! She is so nice. She really cares about her kids, and even her staff is awesome. Dr. Bozin is located on the 'other' side of the office in the Fort Mill location. If you can get with her, I would highly recommend it! This was my first visit to this pediatrician. We're new to the area and I had a little trouble finding the office. The appt was at 8:20; I got to the front desk at 8:21. (I also called in advance to tell them I would be a minute or two late but kept getting a busy signal, but that's beside the point.) I spent a few minutes taking to the receptionist about my concern over the medical records transfer from our old doctor and she checked to make sure they had our immunization records. Then she handed me forms to fill out and said she would check me in. No problem- she was very friendly, so we sat down. A minute later, nurse Christy called us back. My son is 4, he knew he was coming in for shots and he was understandably a little nervous. She seemed okay at first; that is until she asked him to get on the scale and he hung his head down and tried to walk around the corner and away from it. I was really shocked because he's usually very compliant and personable but again, new place, new people, he just needed a little friendly coaxing. Which of course she didn't provide. I apologized to her and told her he never does this but she didn't even acknowledge me. She just said to him, "we've got other patients waiting so you need to get on the scale!" He finally got on and then after weight, she got his height. I didn't say anything though until she began taking vitals. She needed to take his blood pressure and he was slow to unzip his jacket and she barked at him, "take off your sleeve" and then tried to jerk it off his arm. That's when I stepped in. I was very nice at first. I told her that I know it can be a little frustrating and he's not at his best right now, but could she please be a little more patient with him? That's when she got incredibly defensive and said we were over ten minutes late (untrue), that they have other patients waiting and don't have time for this (thanks for treating us like a number). I explained to her that we weren't ten minutes late and she began to raise her voice and say that yes we were, we weren't checked in until 8:30, to which I tried to explain to her that we weren't checked in right away because I was talking to reception about the medical records and she just kept talking over me. So I raised my voice and said, do you have kids?? Surely you know kids have their moments! And she put four fingers up to my face and yelled, "I have FOUR kids and they never act like this!!" (Ha! Yeah right lady) That's when I had enough. I told her she was Terrible and I wanted a new nurse. I have NEVER been treated that way and have NEVER had a problem with my kids' pediatricians or nurses. Everyone has always been so nice and patient and caring with my kids. I'll be the first to admit when my kids misbehave but in no way, shape or form did he throw a fit, scream, yell, fight or anything that would be considered out of line. He simply hung his head and tried to quietly walk away. That's no way to treat a child, just because you have other patients to see and no time for mine and his feelings. My second born is a little different; he has some delays. How would she treat a child with autism or more serious developmental delays? Would she bark at them too? Compare them to her saint children? I don't want to know. The second nurse that came in was fine and she said she wasn't excusing Christy's behavior but that she was the only one working on "this side" today and there were a lot of patients. Good to know, but I don't care. With ever rising insurance premiums and costs of basic visits, not to mention often hideous wait times, doctors offices rarely treat patients like people anymore. We are just cattle in a herd. I won't say anything if you treat me that way but I will if you do it to my 4 and 5 year old. The doctor (McCall) was pleasant and the office manager was very apologetic but I will not return to this office and I'll make sure everyone knows why. It's a shame that one person's poor attitude could speak for an entire office, but that's what happens when a member of staff leaves you in tears like that. read more

First, I believe when you find great dentists/doctors you try your best to stick with them because it is such a challenge to find a new one. Especially, when you know what your looking for in a pediatrician. I picked one pediatrician from the Gold Hill location for my child's first appointment...MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT! I don't know why she is even in the field she apparently doesn't like children and her bedside manners....forget it. I left, determined to find another pediatrician! I did thankfully and so happy that I did, my children LOVE their doctor and that is a big plus in my book!! read more

I have been taking my children here for past 2 years. Love Dr. McCAll, however she is rarely available when I have a sick child. So, we last saw Dr. McCaskell who saw my coughing toddler (for 10 days cough duration) a month ago, after my 3.5 year old was diagnosed by an urgent care doctor with a bacterial sinus infection, just days prior while we were away on vacation. So it makes sense that my youngest now has it (at least to me). Dr. McCaskill came in (coughing himself and complaining of a cold), coughed all over my son and I and explained that my son most likely needs zyrtec, and so he prescribed that and a nasal spray, no antibiotics. Then he asked if my son had been vaccinated lately, and I said "no". Then it all went down hill. He proceeded to give me scare tactic after scare tactic and told me that he most likely has whopping cough. And that I need to vaccinate him for that right away, that we all could get ill and need a hospital (as he continued to cough on my child!)! So, he told me how it was my responsibility and that it would be on me if I passed on the vaccine, and that a 10 day cough is a long time (it's summer here in NC and is pollen season)! I told him that I would be sure to use that nasal spray he suggested. I took him to the urgent care where they gave him an antibiotic and he was good as new in 24 hours. Next story.... I brought my son in today to see Bridgett, the nurse practitioner, however her assistant Susan was very rude when she found out that we will not be vaccinating that day and told me that it's policy now, and that it's mandated and that I should look at the poster on the wall in the patient room and look at all the photos of the kids who had some random vaccine preventable disease. So, there you have it. So sad that I will no longer bring my children here again. It's so odd that they refuse patients who don't vaccinate when they are told, but then they will refuse treatment on a sinus infection and push a vac! Now that I found out as of a month ago they mandate vaccines I will never come again. FYI, there are several vaccine friendly Ped's around town that I have found, you just have to take some time and look for them. Oh, one more thing, Bridgett asked if I home school my kids. Such a stereotypical view of a young mother with three kids who pushes back on vaccines. And no, we don't homeschool. And yes my husband and I are very well educated and well off. read more

I do NOT recommend this place. My daughter is developmentally delayed and when we brought her for her 4 year checkup the nurse tried to get her to stand on the scale. My daughter started crying and didn't want to stand on there to get her weight. The nurse said "Oh why are you crying, you're 4 years old!" I will never forget that and now my daughter is terrified to even go to the doctor. Even my 2 year old daughter screams whenever we take her. Normally they LOVE the doctor, but not this awful place. The nurse stepped out of the room and came back and asked if she's delayed. She didn't apologize, but she did look embarrassed. We moved here recently and I would MUCH rather drive 2 and a half hours to their other doctor. Also, I dropped off a form my daughter's school needed signed for a physical examination and my husband went to pick it up. We noticed they only filled out the front of the form and not the back. So my husband went there AGAIN on his lunch break to drop it back off so they can finish filling it out. Well my husband just went there today to pick it back up and now they can not find the form! WHAT KIND OF IDIOTS RUN THIS PLACE?!?! read more
