I got a great haircut. Remi with the blonde hair was my stylist. She did awesome. She took a bit…read morelonger to do it than I was planning on it taking. But she did an awesome job and she was very thorough so it isn't a big problem. She was really helpful in showing me how to take care of my new hairstyle. So far out of my family and friends who've seen it say they love it. And believe me if they didn't like it they wouldn't have an issue saying it wasn't good. Great Job Remi I left you feeling fantastic and really proud of how my hair looks. I love the bouncy messy look. It turned out adorable

In hindsight, I should have left when I used my hand to indicate the length I wanted my hair cut to…read moreand the student replied by asking if I had brought a picture as an example of how short I wanted it. The cut took about an hour, which I planned for. It wasn't perfect but I'm not too picky about my hair, especially considering it's covered by a cap 95% of the time. As she styled my hair, she asked me if I usually parted my hair in the middle, which is how she had it. A little red light started flashing in my head as I realized that she had not asked me that before starting the cut. I considered lying but admitted that I actually part off center. She giggled as she reparted my hair and said she probably should have asked that before she started. Fifteen minutes later, just before the student went to get her instructor for final check off, she decided that my hair still seemed lopsided. It was, but not in a terrible way. She trimmed a little more, while I kept insisting it was fine. I've seen this movie before: a little from this side, now from that side, whoops, now this side is too long and then you're bald. Then she decided it was due to the way she had styled my hair, so she spent another 20 minutes with the flat iron. More trimming. Finally I told her to stop and she admitted defeat and that she needed to bring her instructor in. Instructor comes in, trims a little more, and declares me good to go. Although it took more than twice as long as it should, I figured maybe it was just this particular student. You have the option of booking with an honor student, so I went ahead and made another appointment, figuring I should give them another chance to show their best before writing them off. Arrived a few minutes early for the second appointment. Checked in and waited. Waited, waited. My appointment time came and went. No one followed up to let me know that my student was running behind or any other reason for the delay. I waited some more. I waited until 45 minutes past my appointment time with not one word from the desk or anyone else. I got on my phone and booked an appointment with a legitimate stylist and then left. I've been getting my hair cut and highlighted at cosmetology schools for years but since this is the only school left in Rochester, I will have to stop that practice. One star is too generous for this place.
