Food was amazing as usual. Coffee was really Good. Employees were horrible. There was one young lady that was sweet when we got her attention. But everyone else should fine a new profession. I got there a little early and they wouldn't seat me until my whole party was there. I was ok with that. 15 minutes late one of my friends showed up. We were fine just talking. I had a heard a lot about Rochelle's and had wanted to try it for sometime. We arrived on a Sunday late morning and knew we would have to wait for a table. We were seated after a 15 min wait . The atmosphere is very typical of a country cafe. The menu is basic with a variety of omelettes, pancakes and waffles you would expect to see. I went with a ham and cheese omelette. Good size portions with small chopped pieces of ham. My major disappointment is when a place like this doesn't make homemade hash but hey that's just me. We found this gem on our way to a walking trail that was nearby. I ordered an omelette with tomatoes, onions, cheese, and bacon, along with french toast topped with bananas. The home fries was seasoned perfectly and the omelette was better than most that I had in the past. My husband ordered an omelette with sausage and a breakfast sandwich, which he enjoyed. I showed up at 7:15 am Wednesday AM for muffins and a coffee roll to go. They have a good selection. I asked for them as us, and I would warm them on the grill at home. When I got them home they were obviously not fresh baked. Muffins were cold, wrapped in foil. When I cut them in half to grill them they crumbled. Once warmed they further crumbled. And tasted old. I do recall the sign on the wall that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. So these muffins were at least a few days old, from the fridge. Not fresh, and they tasted old. As for the coffee roll, that quickly ended up in the trash. It was sour. Sour! How can that be unless the coffee rolls too were old. So $16.00 and a $4.00 tip (for a to go order) my $20 breakfast for 4 went into the trash. It would have been appreciated if they told me all of their baked goods were not fresh. And why are they serving breakfast baked goods that are not freshly baked? They are a breakfast place! We have dined there many times. But with this bad experience we will never return. read more

I LOVE Rochelle's. I am a sucker for homemade-from-scratch blueberry pancakes. The only issue is that they do not have real maple syrup. I do not hold a grudge against this because many places outside of Maine, Vermont, and maybe NH do not usually carry it. However, they are so good either way. They also have delicious egg breakfasts, as well as traditional portuguese cuisine. The cheese rolls are fantastic. The best part of this place is its consistency and great service. You won't believe how fast your food comes out nor will you believe how quickly the waitress comes back to fill up your coffee. It's cheap, too. 6/6/17 The date is so they know who was working because it's important. Now I've been going to Rochelle's for about 8 years and the last 3 years it's been at least once a week usually on Saturday's. I usually get the same thing every time and it's always great, sausage egg and cheese on a linguica cheese roll. Now today I'm not sure but I have had enlightenment with this sandwich, it was the best I'd ever had, grilled roll with a crispy inside and a soft flakey outside, cheese that's still gooey melted, and delicious sausage and egg. Visited for the first time and were we impressed at the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere! Very affordable, generously sized(!) breakfast entrees which were very good - such as the omelets and pancakes. The coffee, while not exactly to our liking, was OK, and the waitress had made a fresh pot rather than serve the bottom. Service was fast and attentive, and quite cheerful. A group of us Old Fogies who graduated from WHS in 1962 go out every other Wends. for breakfast. We try to find new and different restaurants each time w/ in a reasonable radius of Westport. Every so often we find a place like Rochelle's that calls us back time and time again because of the friendly atmosphere, quality and quantity of food, and reasonable prices. Its a great little local place! Unfortunately they are only open Friday nights for dinner or my wife and I would probably be there a lot more often! Their seafood is excellent! read more

Wonderful breakfast! Classic American style omelet with a variety of fillings offered. I chose the veggie omelet with american cheese (this and grilled cheese are the only time I eat american cheese... It melts so nicely!). It was perfectly cooked and plenty big. The real treat was the blueberry pancake I subbed in for toast, it was a little undercooked (for my taste) but the flavor was fantastic. The potato were not overly greasy, nicely seasoned and cooked through. Often I find that diners have a problem where when the potatoes are fried they are overly greasy and if they are not fried they are not cooked all the way through. I love the local atmosphere and friendly service. The kind of place where most people come regularly and waitress are passing messages between customers who just missed each other :) cute, simple country decor. I disagree with the comment about the service being RUDE. They were not asked to leave but were kindly told that people were waiting to be seated!! When someone is done with their breakfast and coffee and sitting at the table for 20-30 minutes just "socializing" on a busy Saturday or Sunday morning with people waiting to be seated, then it is common courtesy to leave. Why would anyone "hold up" a table if you are done?! We are very mindful when in a restaurant that we are not holding up a table by just talking, with no food or drink!! The waitresses depend on turning over the tables! The servers are not rude by no means! And the food is awesome! read more

Came here with family after experiencing a death in the family earlier in the week and have never been so poorly treated. It's sad the effect of one server can have such a negative effect on a place. The food was nothing special though it was priced decently. Our main server (a blonde girl) was okay but her, i suppose assistant, was the rudest bitch i have ever met in my life. As she was cleaning the table my uncle apologized for keeping them late (they close at 12 and it was about 12:15) and she said, "Yeah great, it's like I don't want to go home and want to be here late" in a matter-of-fact tone. Considering she got a $20 tip on a $50 bill, i was outraged and regret not saying something back. I also had other family members dispersed in the location who said that everytime she left our table she rolled her eyes and was actually mocking us with other servers saying she was, "going to go over there and do a portuguese dance" because a couple of relatives are not fluent in english. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and will be writing the owners a letter. read more
