Everyone there was super nice and supportive -- they went above and beyond to be super helpful when I was stranded. They made an awful day a lot better. They also could have definitely tried to hose me on the repair, but they were honest about what needed to be done. I was expecting it to be a lot worse if a repair. All in all, my best experience with a mechanic in my life.

When I arrived it was like 2 trucks already in the shop but the bay for tire repair was open so they told me to pull in right after I checked in with my company info, it only took between 30-40 minutes to replace the tires but definitely shorter than I was expecting. He always gave an honest assessment of the problem. In many cases, the dealership had misdiagnosed the problem and was going to charge me for an expensive, unnecessary repair. I have two cars maintained by him now. One has 347,000 miles on it and the other has 288,000 miles. These vehicles have not gone back to the dealership since they were bought except for factory recall work. I credit the problem free long life of these vehicles to Nick's ability to catch a problem before it strands me along side the road. Nick has made a large personal investment in mechanical equipment and electronic equipment to make this garage rival that of a dealership. Nick loves to talk, and has always been honest with me.

But, while outside looking at a car, we noticed the sales manager hovering. After 30 years in sales, most in management, I recognized things were about to go south. I realized there was a potential major issue with the car and advised the sales person we're not interested. At that point the sales manager dragged the sales person into the back office. We were going to beat a hasty retreat but I wanted to have a little fun with the sales manager. Lucky for him he came out, thanked us for our interest and we parted ways. Now for the strong armed part. If you visit this location, DO NOT provide them with your correct contact information. Especially if you are just starting out or looking. They will hound you multiple times a day via email, text, and calls. Luckily we gave them a number which we can easily block their calls. But the emails are coming from multiple sources. We told them to piss off and now the sales manager is emailing us. Needless to say, after this experience we wouldn't think about going back there. If they would have left it with the fond goodbye at the door and made one follow-up attempt. I wouldn't be writing this book of how not to do sales in this day and age. The kid that helped us seemed nice but sadly his manager is going to lead him down a path that may not get him far. Kid, run while you can. You have potential, but only under the right tutelage!!

My husband has been bringing our car here for 4 years because they worked with our Max Care…read morewarranty. Every year our air conditioning breaks and we have spent thousands of dollars fixing it. I started to feel something shady was going on after the issue kept happening. The last time we had our air conditioning fixed, they kept the car for 9 days because they said they needed to do a quality assurance test and that they also went ahead and fixed our shock absorbers because it would be covered by the warranty (we didn't ask for this work to be completed). When we finally picked up the car, the engine and under carriage covers were in our trunk! How did this happen if they were doing a quality assurance test? They did send someone out to our house to put the covers back on but only after my husband refused to bring the car back to the shop. Two weeks later we got a flat tire and brought the car to a local mechanic to fix the tire. During a complimentary car check, they discovered our air filters were absolutely filthy, our battery was close to dying, and the car's alignment was off! How the hell none of this caught at Arndt is beyond me. We will no longer be bringing our car to Arndt unfortunately.
