What a stunning property in Mallorca. While in town for a wedding, the brides recommended this spot…read moreas one of their favorite hotels in the area and I can see why. First of all, the views from the main building are absolutely stunning. Think panoramic views of ocean and sand with a beautiful pool that looks like it's floating in the ocean. That alone had me obsessed, but then I saw my room. When staying you can book in the main building, or the suites located in a passageway across the street which you access underground. We booked a room in the main building and got upgraded to the ocean view which was awesome. The room was quite large, with a large separate bathroom space which had the toilet and shower in one room with a tub and sink in the entryway which was great for girls sharing a room. We were also able to add a cot to the room for an extra 125 Euro a night and even with that, the room felt spacious. There is not a lot of natural light, as the one window that we had was super small, but the stunning views made up for it. The service from the folks at the hotel was super friendly. They offer room service, a spa, breakfast every day (include with suites or a la carte with a regular room), and amazing poolside service. I also love that you can go into the ocean straight from stairs attached to the pool. I really enjoyed my stay here. If you want to splurge a little and enjoy the views and amenities this is the perfect spot. It was great to unwind here amidst some jam-packed wedding festivities.

Maricel looks like an old palace, but it was built in 1948 to look that way. Back in the day, movies stars and royalty stayed here. It closed in the 80s and then reopened in 2002 with expanded rooms. Most rooms have terraces and ocean views. There is an infinity pool, a bar and cabanas that are busy in season. You can get massages in treatment nooks overlooking the water. There is a restaurant that serves incredible breakfasts and lunches. The main spa facility also has a separate business center for retreats and events. That area accessible by tunnel is mid century modern, but the overall aesthetic is neo-classical. The staff are friendly and discreet from the front desk to the restaurant servers to the cheerful maids who do a very thorough job maintaining the rooms. You even have a pillow library to pick just the right one for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is white marble with a soaking tub and dual handheld / rain shower. We stayed in #14, one of the best on the property.

My wife planned this trip for us and when we arrived at the Hotel I thought it looked nice but the…read morerest of the neighborhood does not it's worn down. She assumed adults only would be fun and exciting. At breakfast the first morning we realized this adult only hotel was for older people like 55 years old and up. It's on a beach so that's nice and the bus stop is super close. I love that you can hop on a bus for only 1.50€!! It took us downtown, by the Marina and the casino !! You can bus anywhere including the airport for 5 €. The hotel had a singer on Saturday we were drinking cocktails while everyone else had coffee or tea. But overall the hotel was nice and clean.

Now let's get to it location amazing! Staff not too bad although they can't all seem to greet their guest while walking by reception. Check in was quick and the receptionist who helped me was very sweet to communicate with me in English and helped others in french when needed which is always a plus ! Had a welcome drink that was never offered found out it's a coffee for those who do remember to ask for it. The food at the hotel is well you guys can check out my photo of the pizza ? From room service, save yourselves! Vegan or vegetarian pretty much forget it at this place unfortunately but luckily there's great food just in the main road. I would have to agree with some of the other reviews of this place adults only is more of an over 45-50ish I would say. We enquired information about a rental car and the receptionist said she couldn't help us to go over to their sister property (super close) but I feel this is something she could of helped with as we are guest in this property. Over all the hotel is clean in a great location (why I gave it 4 stars and not 3) and helpful staff but would skip the food and there's no hotel parking also the service desk is just a desk sometimes with little flyers might be something they can work on.

We had booked a 7 days stay at Valparaíso. On the booking site, it said child friendly, which was…read moreimportant to us, as we brought our 3 year old and was to celebrate her 4 years at the hotel. When traveling abroad, out toddler always sleeps in our bed. However, when arriving at the hotel, they wanted to charge a 80 euro extra fee per night for the toddler for an extra bed. I refused the extra bed, but they said it was mandatory. I wrote to the manager, but he did not answer my mails or calls before after I left the hotel. At the check-out, I was charged with 60 euro per night for my toddler. This was only for the bed, there were no food involved. I have been mailing back and forth with the hotel since, and they've offered us an upgrade as compensation for our next stay - which will be absolutely never. When getting to our room after check-in, the room had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade and bottles and beer cans was all over the room. I'm sorry, that the review will not able me to post pictures. We went back to the front desk, and was told to come back in a few hours. Further, the kid friendly property does not allow children in the indoor pool area (we were there in February) outside of from 10 am to 1 pm. Nap time for most toddlers and hardly kid friendly with a 3 hours window. Basically it felt like traveling in eastern Europe 10 years ago. Bad communication, bad language skills, overload of confusion as response to legitimate criticism. "The manager is not here, we'll get back to you, I don't understand etc. etc." I travel 60-70 days a year, staying at GHA and Hilton properties. I will never return to this place.
