Location is the first class. Hotel roof terrace views are the first class. Breakfast is the first class. But most of all, personnel was the first class. One of them really stands out. Neda, hotel employee, was like a friend, connoisseur and personal assistant, all in one. She enhanced Mallorca's stay in Palma. So happy to have met such a nice human being. Yes, the taxi driver will have a small issue getting you here, since they can't drive up the very narrow alley where it's located. My stay was very comfortable and for a "single use room," roomy enough for me. The platform bed was a little firm and the shower was a little small, but I really did not spend much time in the room after sleeping fourteen hours following my travel from the States to here. This is a full service hotel with a restaurant, coffee bar, room service, fitness center and wifi that worked very well. There was even a free mobile phone for me to use in the room. (They probably should disable its wifi hotspot feature, but hey, it worked great!) The only complaint that I can offer is that my room on the fourth floor ("third floor" in European count) did not have elevator service. That may be an issue for some if you're stairs-challenged. As well, some street noise but nothing that got through my earplugs. I would absolutely stay here again when I return to Palma.

(The weak shower pressure delayed us in the morning as we tried to quickly get ready for breakfast, only to have the waitstaff tell us upon arrival that we only had 10 minutes to eat before closing!) I believe the room is priced at twice what would seem fair under the circumstances. Great location and walkable to everything. Hotel is small and elegant. Our Sant Francesc "suite" is not a suite by any standards but instead a mere room and should in no way be marketed as a suite just to add to the already hefty pricing. This suite had an uncomfortable mattress that was too soft and only a thin comforter. This makes me think the mattress hasn't been replaced in years. Further, upon checking in I gave the clerk my credit card and passports but she wanted both my spouse and my signatures because mine alone wasn't good enough to check in which I thought was odd especially given this was a birthday gift to my spouse. The rooftop is tiny so not really a pool place and the pool is not heated or meant for swimming due to its tiny size. Food is not bad but not anything special.The gym is also minuscule and you will get better exercise honestly just walking in town. We ordered a car transport from the hotel directly but the car came a half hour late and would not take our bags because they told us they can't keep a bag in the front seat. All of this makes me feel like this is a 4-star trying to be a 5-star but falls onto a 3-star when it's all said and done.

You feel more like a local here being just far enough away from the tourist areas that you hear almost all Spanish as you make your way home for the night. Beds are so comfortable that we often enjoyed them late into the day, missing the heat and humidity of Palma (97 degrees F is too hot for me)! But 24-hour room service and an endless supply of ice really helped after staying up late in the city dancing and drinking! PS, the rooftop pool is relatively small and you'll find at least half the hotel there during the day. It's definitely a scene...

He was very friendly and very eager to get us situated, going as far as walking us all the way to our room because he was worried it would be difficult to find (it was). Our room, despite being at the end of a very narrow hallway and up several flights of stairs, was very roomy and beautifully decorated. Everything looks like it had been recently refreshed, from the bathrooms to the furniture. All in all a good experience.

We were travelling as a family of four and were allocated two rooms - one on the 3rd floor and one on the 9th floor. The third floor room had a view of the canal, but the 9th floor room had a frosted window (no view) and was much smaller than our other room. Arriving on a Saturday the hotel was full so we could not change rooms immediately, but the following day the hotel relocated our second room to a larger room on the 3rd floor with no extra charge. The hotel has a fast reliable WiFi service which appears to be included in the cost of all rooms. Breakfast was included with our room, which had a good selection of fresh fruits, meats, breads, smoked salmon, spreads, juice, yoghurt, hot food (although this did run low frequently) and coffee/tea. Sleep quality was very good, the beds are moderate-firm and room air conditioning is quiet. Room noise is low, and we could not hear adjacent rooms, only the occasional door closing from the corridor. Spa area is good. Spa temperature seemed a little low. Turkish bath and sauna both working, and there is also a hot/cold shower available. Extra towels were available in the change rooms for using this facility. Overall a pleasant stay in the middle of town. Probably more suited towards the mature age family/business traveller, as there appeared to be limited facilities for kids. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast buffet was phenomenal, great selection of hot and cold items, including Mallorcan specialties like sobrasada and ensaimada. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and loved it, the servers were very nice and the food was delicious. We were allowed to check in to our flight by one of the lovely reception agents who lent us a laptop so that we could use it and then print our boarding passes. I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Palma and highly recommend it!
