Quite newly built and ambitious adults only beachside hotel.
We stayed in a seaside junior suite, room 101. The room is about 550 sq ft including, I believe, quite a large balcony facing the Platja de Palma beach and very well appointed. A large rainshower is the main feature of the beautiful bathroom with his and hers sinks, the bed is a proper king size 2x2m with perfect mattresses and a pillow menu. A small seating area across from a tinted mirror camouflaging the room's second tv separates the bed from a in-room jacuzzi offering a view of the sea through sliding glass doors. Except for the two corner suites on every floor, the sea view is quite narrow, though, because of the walls secluding the balcony from neighbouring rooms
Breakfast is quite nice with ample outside seating, plenty of delectable cold options and a single cook making omelettes, pancakes and eggs to order.
Apart from once (quite disappointing club sandwiches), we never had lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant nor at Mikel & Pintxo, the ground floor restaurant offering modern and traditional tapas, nor at the newly rebranded Italian restaurant about a block away (but partnered with the hotel, apparently), nor did we use the fitness facilities or the spa with indoor pool, apart from my gf having her legs waxed at the spa by a friendly beautician at a price that was pretty much equal to what that same treatment would cost in most of Scandinavia.
The pool isn't huge, but the entire pool area is seemingly perfectly dimensioned: The pool was never crowded, and though plenty of sunbeds were in use every day of our six night visit in July, there were at least a couple of free ones at any time during the day. No jostling to reserve sunbeds in the early AM, nor any of those annoying guests doing so (and in turn, sorta forcing everyone else to follow suit), only to not use their reserved sunbeds for most of the day.
The beach club across the street promises to always accommodate hotel guests booking up until about noon at a cost of 45 euros (2018) for a pair of sunbeds right on the beach, if you prefer sand and salt to tiles and chlorine.
All in all a very nice beach hotel, close to the airport and Palma city.
The fly in the ointment was the tendency of the staff to be quite inattentive. When having drinks at the restaurant tables or in the loungers by the pool, getting the attention of a waiter was consistently a drag, whether trying to order or pay. They were friendly enough. Just really inattentive.
TL; DR: Nicely situated, perfectly appointed beach hotel, slightly marred by inattentive waitstaff.i read more
