Looking for a pair of used tires for a car that I plan on keeping for only a few more months. Obviously, I did not want to purchase new ones, tires for my car are really expensive. I called Rob's pretty close to close of business on a Tuesday. I told them what I was looking for, two used tires, and the odd size. The gentleman on the phone put me on hold for only a minute, to see if they had the tires in stock; they did, and he asked me if I could get there in 10 minutes. That would have been awesome, but unfortunately I could not. I asked if I could come the next day, and he said that I could come anytime, just give a call before I headed that way. I did call this morning, they told me to come as soon as I was ready, and that even if there was a wait, it wouldn't be too long. He was not kidding. I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. The service was so fast, everyone I interacted with was helpful and friendly, and the price was right. I would definitely use this business again. read more

He got me in the same day that i called and he was able to switch out my 4 summer tires to winter tires i had bought. It took about an hour and a half and he charged 35$ a tire which after taxes was around 150$. read more

WARNING: ROB'S AFFORDABLE TIRE IN IRVING WILL COST YOU SAFETY AND MONEY! My wife took her car to Rob's (Irving location) to get a tire checked. They replaced a valve stem. My wife complained of noise, so I investigated. I found they broke two studs when putting the tire back on. When I took the damaged parts in and asked they cover the repair everything was met with excuses, some of which required risky behaviors. "You could have drove it here and we would have replaced the studs". "You could have broke those off yourself". "That's not overtorque damage". And more. But eventually I'd had enough, lost my temper, and stormed out. They let my wife and two kids drive away like that which enraged me. This is a serious safety issue and they refused to cover it. All I wanted is for them to make this right, say sorry, and cover the parts they damaged. I stopped at our typical shop and showed them the damage. They concurred it was consistent with air ratchets/over torque, but also told me they had a customer come in who'd experienced a transfer case failure because this Rob's location put three different sized tires on their vehicle. I will not name this other shop as I didn't ask permission to do so. I will simply state they are on 5 in Silver Creek, not far from Save-A-Lot. I am not a mechanic by trade, but I am in the maintenance field. I am smart enough to know that I would have been responsible for any injuries or damage I caused had I drove the vehicle back in the condition it was in, and that a towing service would have been the only other viable option and an additional cost for both myself and Rob's. So I fixed it to the best of my ability and made it safe again before approaching Rob's and asking they right this wrong. I also added a screenshot of a conversation with another local mechanic who says the broken studs issue is a common one with Rob's since people have fair questions. Rob's needs to use the proper tools for the job, bottom line. I filed complaints with the NY Attorney General's office, the New York Department of State, the BBB, and posted a Google review. If you've experienced an issue with Rob's I encourage you to do the same (links below). I'm going to make Rob's remember me and I'll gladly be banned from this business. In fact I'd consider it an honor to be so! Even if nobody gets a cent in restitution there needs to be a message sent that this is not how you do business, especially when safety is on the line. Someone could get killed, and if an investigation traces it back to the shop, the business could fold. Brought them tires one time that weren't low profile and said they weren't able to. (no issue I took my business elsewhere) Came another time to get tires mounted (no previous tires on wheels) they charged me almost $200 to mount 4 tires I had. read more

I want to advise people about robs affordable tires about a couple of things . 1.i would never buy anpther truck or car there for as they lie about everything they dont give you a good deal for one.2 they refuse to warrenty it.i had a truck there and there shifter fell off it as i was driving it i had it taken back to them to be fixed just so they could try to charge me 1500 ,ore im not stupid i just took my plates off it they can have it they got enough money out ofnme i will never go there again.oh and also they have a thing about blocking the cars in so you cant even get your car if you want to what a joke.i was told by alot of people i would get screed by them i dint listen now I will for now on .ofdh and there tires are so over priced i wont buy mine there go to walmart threre new at least.be aware of them . read more

worst place to buy a vehicle from. i didnt have the vehicle 3 days before it broke down and then they had it for 4 days with no response except the dealer has it. they refused a lender car or a full refund. read more

Came here on a friend's recommendation for a quick tire swap on my Sprinter RV... it's hard to find shops that will work on these things at all because of the weight and size. Rob's was happy to accommodate me and got me in same day with no wait and done within an hour. Price was very fair. read more
