Kenny was awesome! A true artist that is passionate about his work. It doesn't look like there's a lot until you walk in and realize it's a whole 2 acres! There is so much to pay attention to in detail. You can miss something very easily. It took me a couple looks to notice different things that were completing a full structure. It took about an hour to walk through it all and you get to buy a peice of art at the end or donate to help out the artist ($50 minimum). He's been doing this for over 50 years and takes pride in his work. Definitely come check this place out. Make sure to text him and he will get back to you to make time for a self guided tour. It was a fun hidden gem to find!

From start to finish this was one of my favorite pit stops in a while. My sister and I stopped by very last minute and the artist was extremely accommodating, even though we gave him a 15 minutes notice. We made our reservation, handed in our waivers, and made our way to this wonderland hidden in a residential community. The owner, Kenny, I've later learned has about 2 acres that he's worked on for about 50 years (per the sign) ;) He has rules he sends ahead of time for what I assumed was safety and general flow of the experience. If you follow them, you're sure to have an easy and enjoyable time. The art was unlike anything we've seen before and we enjoyed discussing, creating theories, and generally enjoying the ingenuity of his creations. Kenny's art is for everyone and there is so much to dissect and discover. There are many little references to his other pieces throughout the instillation that were exciting to notice. I highly recommend stopping by the support if you have the chance!

The guy was an absolute asshole from the second this disaster started. Our appointment got delayed an entire hour, and when His Royal Trashness finally wandered in, he had the gall to act pissed at us, like we were the ones who screwed up his schedule. He showed up shirtless, sweaty, and looking like he'd just crawled out of a dumpster. His studio? A suffocating, chaotic fire hazard--cramped, filthy, and stacked with junk. It's almost impressive how claustrophobic he made FOUR ACRES of land feel! And the "art" he's so pretentious about? Give me a break. It looked like something a bored middle-schooler slapped together during detention. Nothing meaningful, nothing profound! It's all just crude, sloppy garbage with peeling, crusty paint jobs that looked like they'd been rotting for years. Honestly, the only impressive part was how consistently awful everything was. Then this clown has the audacity to pressure us into buying something. For what? His cheap resin and 3D-printed knockoffs that probably took him two hours and negative talent to make? And he's charging $75 to TWO THOUSAND dollars like he's some tortured genius instead of a delusional hobbyist? Please. When we Venmoed him a $25 tip, he got mad, as if that was some personal offense. He said, and I fucking qoute, "Way to take the easy way out." Like, dude. NO ONE WANTS YOUR SHITTY "ART." And the cherry on top? His attitude. He strutted around like we should be grateful just to stand in his hoarder-level hazard trap and gaze upon his trash-tier "creations." He genuinely behaved like we were beneath him, which is hilarious considering the state of literally everything he touched. Easiest, most well-deserved 1/5 I've ever given. If I could give 0, I would.

I love crazy, weird even creepy art. This immersive, walkthrough maze of art took me to another planet! It reminds me of an abandoned theme park combined with the boy from Toy Story that mixed up his toys parts and put them back together. There was so much to look at, really take your time through the walk. I can't wait to go back because he keeps adding on to it! Such a cool experience as I am an artist myself. Found object artworks happen to be some of my favorite and I left this place amazed and inspired. The artist is super kind and willing to answer any questions, was able to make a last minute appointment easily.

If you're wondering what Robolights is all about, well in a nutshell, it's a huge art exhibit in the backyard of one guy who has spent the last 49 years building this entire labyrinth out of junk & trash. This place is large enough to get lost, and takes about 30mins to an hour to walk through the entire thing. I won't lie, I have mixed feelings about the entire thing. Some of the 'art' was very interesting and definitely took a lot of brilliance to create. I dare to say, it was cool. But a lot of it was also on the creepy or icky side. Not to mention the strange smell that engulfs the entire place. Not super horrible, but clearly noticeable. Makes sense, given the fact that the place is just basically a huge pile of trash. But don't get me wrong... it was a cool and unique experience. It's worth checking it out, especially if you're with a group. The owner books people every hour for the entire place, so you're never roaming around with strangers. You get the place to yourself. Many of the other reviews are dead on about the owner's unique personality. He is not the most cordial & friendly person, but I think that's just his personality and he doesn't mean anything by it. If you book with here, admission is free, but he will ask for donations and will try to sell you some of his art at the end of the hour. Be sure to read and follow his very long list of rules. Trust me, he gets very very particular and serious about his rules! My group got chastised for not reading them. It's worth a visit, but be prepared! Read up on the reviews and enjoy yourself.

Crazy cool art work. I got tons of cool pics. My only recommendation is to go later in the day when it is cooler. I went at 10:30 and it was quite warm.

Visiting Kenny Irwin's Robo Lights was an experience not to be missed. Kenny has created a world of fantasy out of found and recycled objects, vividly brought to life with bright paints in pink, yellow, blue and more. From giant robots to marching rabbits, skull pathways to tarantula walls - it's two acres featuring fascinating combinations of common household objects, brought together with resin, foam, paint to create a magical mystery tour through this artist's mind. Be sure to make a reservation by texting Kenny at (760) 774-0318. He'll send you waivers to sign and a list of rules to follow, but don't be put off by some of the negative reviews on this site. The rules are straightforward and sensible, and Kenny proved to be a gracious and appreciative host. He will ask you to buy something, which we did. You can also make a donation if you don't find something you like.

What an amazing unique experience it's hard to describe the right words to express what you're seeing and how it feels but it's definitely one of a kind place that if you're visiting Palm Springs, you can't miss and take lots of pictures because the memories will last a lifetime of what you see whether it be crazy Unique different scary but it's all in one place to see at the same time

Came here last minute without realizing you needed a reservation. I was lucky enough to have been able to make a last minute appointment to visit! Honestly, had it not been for all the reviews this would have been a very weird and creepy experience and I would not have done it. It was still weird and creepy, but in a good way! It was a very entertaining stroll around the backyard. It did smell a little weird though. At the very end of the walk he showed us his resin art and pressured us very heavily to buy a piece, ranging from $25-$3000! No offense but I really do not think resin art is worth that much ever. I would much rather have been asked to donate (maybe a recommended donation per person) than have this sprung upon us at the end. It would have come out to the same $ spent, without a bad taste in my mouth at the end of the experience. It also didn't help that when we chose an item to buy he quickly jumped in that he had to pay sales tax on the items and bumped the price up another 10%... considering this is a very self run business I felt very tricked/scammed.

The exhibit is huge, eclectic, and intricate. Admission is free; however, your group will need to purchase a piece of artwork at the end. The works range in price starting at $50. You can take photos, but believe me, no photo can do the artwork Justice! This was one of my favorite parts of our trip so far. Kenny Irwin Jr is the artist.

Mystical...Magical...and lots of whimsical Mystery! What a fantastic unique thing to do. One of a kind artist who was kind and professional. He worked on his art while we got to tour the 2 acres of art on our own. Definitely a hands on art experience. Every corner I turned was another wow and so cool! Every straight away led you down childhood memories. This is a very unique experience and I am thankful I was able to give my child this opportunity to see first hand with a artist too. At the end of your tour (takes about a hour) you can purchase art work as well. Absolutely a Free experience but donations are welcomed too. Amazing! Phenomenal Artist!

This is the best thing in Palm Springs. You will have never seen anything like it. Follow Kenny's instructions to the letter!

Incredible work, the longer you look at each poetics the more detail pops and you see every little bit that makes up this incredible body of art. I'm absolutely amazed! One of the best living artists in the world today. You can tell how much he cares about his work, and how art IS his life. Truly a wonder. Don't pass up an opportunity to check it out!
