This place is awesome. I ride there every Sunday and they make sure I'm safe. The horses are healthy as well.

Wouldn't have considered it if my mom didn't sin my daughter up, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. It was $100 for a 3 day class and pretty understaffed. On the first day they split up the group, My daughter was in the first group that got to ride while the others learned about the anatomy of a horse and feed them. After all the girls were saddled up and riding for a couple minutes the owner pulled up along the fence and started yelling at the instructor that she had another student and to get one of the riders off the horse they called Callie. Turned out the "student" was the owner, Leslie's grand daughter, and she got to ride the whole class. I don't understand why you'd have people pay just to bring your grandchild, who can ride any time they'd like, and have them interrupt the time we paid for. On the second day, the exact same thing happened, and she also had two more girls show up, and told the instructor that she had new students, they were family friends, so they got to show up late and one day behind the others. When it was time for the girls to switch groups they jut handed off their helmets, there was no sanitary action taken. At the end of the second class they were grooming the horses when one got spooked and pulled its tie off the bar, another horse broke its restraint. The instructor moved fast and got my niece out of the way, who knows what would have happened if it weren't for her fast actions, that's not the problem though, the issue was when Leslie came back with the horses and loosely wrapped the rope back around, and smiled. When the horse started tugging away and she saw the rope slipping she told the horse to calm down and that it was ruining its tie, which wasn't tied in the first place. The third day I noticed a girl scratching her head, my daughter had hurt her finger, and was done riding for the day, so I took the opportunity to inspect her head, she had contracted lice, which she did not have before these classes, and I can only assume it's from all the kids just passing off helmets that have not been cleaned. I was frustrated, and decided to leave, my sister in law informed Leslie of our findings, and leslie excitingly Said she never thought about lice, she had only boys and didn't know what to looked like. My SIL told her she should use a spray or something and Leslie defensively told her she could t do that around the horses, which makes little sense as she can remove the helmets from the area and clean them, since the horses aren't wearing the helmets I don't understand how this is an issue. This could have been avoided, she was getting into a business with small children, kids get lice, but she didn't take the precautionary steps to avoid it. Leslie stated she's reimburse us for the lice treatment, but I'm unhappy with this entire experience, at least my daughter had fun the first two days. read more
