Craving BBQ, specifically turkey and off we went right "down the road"…read more I opted for the 2 meat plates with a few extra sides. (Just couldn't resist) Ordered the turkey and jalapeño Cheddar Sausage. The turkey (as usual) is juicy and tender with the right amount of smokiness flavor. You can't find anyplace that's better! The sausage, is Devine with the right amount of jalapeño heat. True to form the Mac n cheese and baked potato salad was delicious. I opted to try the baked beans and talk about tasty and "differently. I can't explain the flavor but it has this vanilla soda taste that is quite frankly out of this friggin world...and their green beans are seasoned to the Pit-master gods! My sis exclaimed the Pulled pork BBQ Sandwich is her absolute favorite..EVER! The measure of great BBQ (in my opinion) when you're holding 10's across the board. EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS! So glad we did. We arrived close to 11:30 and already the parking lot was practically full. But inside there were yet a good number of tables available in this expansive venue. You seat yourself and very shortly a cheerful server appears bearing menus to take your drink order. The beer offerings are mainline (no craft beers) but the prices are perhaps the least expensive in Fort Worth and the draft beer is ice cold served in frosted schooners. A+. There is both a red and white wine available. Our drinks came out pretty promptly. We wanted to try Sammie's Texas Twinkie as well as the pork chop. The Twinkie came right out, but before we could halve it to share our orders hit the table. I ate my half of the Twinkie first and was pretty much full at that point with this humongous pork chop, basically half a pig, sitting in front of me. But being the BBQ warrior I am I persevered and proceeded to carve slivers from the chop to eat. The chop is remarkably moist and perfectly tender. This has to be some primo pork. And the cooking is exceptionally well done. How do they do this for twenty bucks... and with two sides?! As I've suggested I could not eat a lot (I didn't even touch my two sides, they went home with us). When I got home I weighed my chop... 1 lb and 12 oz! What the heck did it weigh to start with? Well anyway, I have like three more meals! LOL. By the time we left about 12:45 the store was slammed. This is clearly a very popular spot and it is obvious why! I see the Friday pork chop here as a frequent lunch in our future.

Yesterday I found out the truck would be in my subdivision and I really wanted to try their Philly sandwich. I will definitely go to their regular location and grab one for my husband.

Today was their first day in business this year. They had a great set up today in the parking lot next to a liquor store and gas station off a decently busy road in ft worth. In live in dallas...so i drove an hour to support and try the food. I would and will do it again! The truck is fresh and clean. They have a speaker set up with some tunes, a tent over the front and a couple chairs so you can sit and wait or sit and enjoy your meal. Being friends with the owner has perks- i got a bit of just about everything. I did pay for my food and am giving my honest opinion of everything. My first box of food had catfish, grilled shrimp and the cajun chicken alfredo (zizis) fries. The shrimp actually blew me away. I have been extremely disappointed in seafood since moving to Dallas 3 years ago. This shrimp was perfect. It was clearly fresh, perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. It's so easy to overcook shrimp and they got it on the money. I had to stop eating them and try other stuff so i wouldnt fill up too fast. Next i tried the cajun chicken fries. Listen, i don't think I've had a loaded fry that i didn't like. Great texture, great flavor, in love that is unique. Lots of loaded fries out there but I've never seen anything like these before. I could eat my weight in them. The last thing in the first box was a piece of fried catfish. I want to preface by saying i haven't had very much catfish and i just don't think it's really my thing? The fish was cooked perfectly and seasoned/breaded very well. I love how its served and the presentation. It's served on top a piece of Texas toast with lemon, hot sauce and tarter sauce. The condiments are extremely important and very well done. Box #2 contained grilled broccoli, grilled corn and wings- hot honey and bbq. I tried the broccoli first. Its seasoned well and cooked well. I like that it had texture and it wasn't soggy. It was seasoned well with lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. The corn was seasoned similarly. I have to say the corn was a little underwhelming for me, i expected to like it more. I could see seasoning on it, but the flavor didn't come through as well as the other things. It's probably because I've been on an elote kick and i want all my corn to taste like that. The wings- 3 flats and 1 drum were delish. I'm not a huge wing fan but these were really good. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. The breading on the outside was really good and the sauces were flavorful, bold and plentiful without being over powering. I would have loved these to come with a side of wet naps. Of the two flavors, i preferred the hot honey. Not very spicy either. Might be fun to have a sauce for dipping on the side? The last box of food had greens, mac n cheese and mash n gravy. I started with the mac and it was perfection. So so so much of the time with mac you get soggy, overcooked noodles. The first thing i noticed was that the texture of the noodle was perfect. The flavor/seasoning is also on point. This may the best mac and cheese I've ever had. Not being from the south or having eaten much southern food, i think this is the first time I've had southern greens. They said it was kale and not your typical collard greens. It was decent but i would probably order that if i was trying to be healthy and get my greens in. It could also be that they were overshadowed by all the other amazing food i tasted. The last thing on my plate was mash n gravy. I have had lots of mashed potatoes in my life and these are some of the best I've had. Amazing texture and flavor. They were a touch on the salty side but perfect other than that! You have to come down here and try this food for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed!! A couple side thoughts- would love it if there were some cold drinks- just soda and water that one could get with their food and something sweet would hit the spot. I feel like red velvet anything or banana pudding would go with everything so well. Overall everything was super fresh and hot. The seasoning was on point and the textures were all perfect.
