We have been to this branch of Dysarts a few times. It is a bit smaller than a couple of the other…read morebranches -- more of a deli/sandwich shop than a full travel stop, though of course it does sell gas like the others. In any case, the food and the service do the local chain proud. We feel the pizza is the best around here, its crust being slightly better than the next best place we go to. The Country fries are awesome. They are like steak fries except they even cut and include the rounded ends of the potato, the first time I have seen that. And did I mention they are great? Generous also. We chose the large order of country fries and we had to take half of them home for a second meal. The onion rings have a crunchy coating and are also quite good. The service has been great. You walk up to the deli counter to order and you pay at the store register. They also have chips, pastries (some homemade) and a huge selection of drinks as it is also a convenience store, coffee stop. If you are eating in they will bring the food to your table. Dysarts isn't what I would call a destination restaurant for us, but if we have an appointment near one or are going by, it is at the top of the list for a quick meal.

In the past this place would be a solid 2 star review. The combination of hunting goods, booze,…read moretools and food really is weird. They've renovated the place and it's clean. Even the bathroom is clean. We'll see how long that lasts. Inside is a Dunkin' Donuts, an Amato's, and lots of booze. We stop here on our return trips to Mass for Amato's. The customer service is pretty awful. It's at a Maine pace, which means it takes twice as long for you to get a sandwich as it does anywhere else. The kids who work here seem really nice but just aren't accustomed to strangers. Which is funny since you see loads of tourists coming through here every summer. I always get their classic Italian sandwich which is really just a ham and cheese drizzled with olive oil and vinegar. Even so it's good. However, the calzone we got was AMAZINGLY good. Loads of toasty cheese, chicken and spinach in a toasted shell, so good. The Dunkin's was slow but friendly. You pay for the Amato's stuff at the regular register. They give you a ticket and you go to the register to pay. You can pay for the dunks at dunks. The customer service at the register is pretty good. It's just the Amato's service that is lacking. The whole set up is weird and yet I stop here almost every time I'm in Maine.

My only experience was at the gas pumps, although after reading the reviews I wish I had gone…read moreinside. A good in and out to get gas on our way back south, and machines were able to take payment and print receipts.
