After having a very negative experience at a different local groomer a friend told us about Robins. It's clean and they genuinely care about the dogs. Our dogs love the ladies here! They have never been rude or loud in our presence...I am writing this review because I think the lady that wrote multiple negative reviews is wrong. We have been taking both our australian shepherds here for a bath every 6 weeks for about year (they love dirt) and a very happy with the services here. *It is not the cheapest groomer, but you get what you pay for. We went to one of those (TM) and our dogs got a horrible fungal skin infection from them using old unsanitary pre-mixed products. read more

It's my belief and my opinion this place did something to my dogs when I took them to get groomed to make them sleepy. The way my Dogs acted when I took them back the next time, they did not want me to leave them there. They were jumping all over me and didn't want to go with them. I've been bringing my dog here for 3 years since I've had him. I would always call mornings for a same day appt because of my work schedule. I made an appt one time and missed it Now I can't get same day appts. I know they are lying because if you don't have any available today why ask who my dog is just to tell me nothings available that day! They don't appreciate loyal customers. They do an excellent job here. The customer service aspect can be hit or miss, and it's very loud inside, but they take great care with the dogs. I've never been unsatisfied with the grooming, and whenever I brought my dog he would immediately jump out of the car and try to race up the steps. My dog is definitely a wild, rowdy boy, but they handled him just fine, which I am so so grateful for. The prices, imo, are reasonable for the quality. I'm very sad we moved because finding a new groomer that I trust is going to be a challenge. read more

Uhhh no. This place did me dirty twice. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because my first time there was just for a flea dip. 25 bucks for my 8 pound dog.. She still had a fleas on her belly upon pick up. Waste of money. They won't call you to tell you your pet is ready... Only 10 minutes before they close will they leave you an unfriendly message telling you to hurry. I dropped my dog off both times at 9 am and they waited till 4:50pm both times to call. The last time saying they wrote my number down wrong but I don't believe them. Either way, not my fault. The second time and my last time there was unacceptable. Got a Bath for my dog and they trimmed her. But they didn't do a good job.. She came out patchy. Never has she cane out the groomers like this! Ugly. She was drained and hungry cuz poor thing was stuck in a cage all day with a loud annoying bird screeching all day. Poor thing. I asked for my money back, but with difficult, greedy people, there's not much you can do. They took my 45$. Spare your pets, and your wallet, and yourself from this place. read more

I called a few groomers last Saturday and some were booked while others didn't even work on Saturday. I had seen Robin's Grooming Nest several times as I live off of Little Creek and I wasn't sure what to make of it. It's basically a little house on an asphalt lot. As a last resort, I decided to try them out since I really didn't want to give Dante a bath and he really did need a hair cut. They did an excellent job. Honestly, there isn't much to complain about regarding the groom. It's probably the most satisfied I've been so far with any groomer in this area as far as doing such a thorough job. My only issue is the cost. It's about $10-$15 more than I've paid anywhere else around here. Barring the cost, Robin's Grooming Nest really did a great job. read more

I have had my dog, Allie, go there multiple times. But this experience was somehow better. They took their time making sure she was treated very well. They couldn't use one type of dryer so they had to do it another way. They accommodated her and her endless energy. When I told them that Banfield had me give her a sedative before bringing her in, Robin's scoffed. They just simply said that she is a very happy dog and no sedative is needed. It is very refreshing to know that there are places that believe in working with my pet rather than just medicate it. read more

Highly recommended! Despite some negative reviews that I read online, I decided to give them a try. My YORKIE was very matted and continued to mat over time due to him being turned away from petco, petsmart, and a couple of other main stream dog grooming places because he was too anxious to allow anyone to cut him. From start to finish the customer service here was great! I called to schedule an appointment for my yorkie, I told her that he was VERY matted and she let me know the price it would be which was VERY affordable. Drop off time was 8:00am. I walked in and was greeted immediately, I didn't have the actual rabies doc in hand, so they allowed me to show proof through the VCA PORTAL, checked Snoop (my YORKIE) in, and I left. YES! It was just that simple. I was sooo nervous that they would call back in an hour and tell me that snoop was too anxious for them to cut him. Hours go by and I get a call... "Snoops all done, he was good during some moments and others not soo much lol, but we got him all shaved and looking good" I was so relieved, All I could do was smile . I went to pick him up, paid for their services, and left with a well groomed and happy dog. I feel like snoop even felt good about himself lol! (Like how we feel good when we get our hair done.) The only reason I gave 1 review because their is no emoji for a punch in the face. I took my baby there some time ago but the only reason I am writing one is because I thought I wrote one. The owner was crazy rude. I was talking to her because was a new dog owner and a turned away and looked back at her just to see her roll her eyes at me. She was yelling at her assistant and pretty much an uncomfortable atmosphere. I stayed because my pup was a rescue and I figured he needed a bath. What mad me mad and honestly makes me sad til this day when I cam to get my baby yes he looked good but he was not responding to me. I noticed some marks on him that I did not notice before but I tried to shake it off . I don't know if these "ladies" treat our fur babies the way they treat each other please don't go! Robin's is where I take my dog and my kitten for any grooming needs. They are friendly and do a great job. I have never had an issue and my dog goes right back with them and is happy anytime we go there. The prices are reasonable, the services are great and the people remember you and your pet. read more

Very disappointed in the overall service and atmosphere here. Took our 7 month old Cavachon to be washed and groomed for his third time (twice at another groomer in Harrisburg). We got a call about an hour or so after we dropped him off stating that they would not be able to finish grooming him because he was to fidgety and was even biting at the groomer. We apologized and said we would be there to pick him up. It was weird to us because this was his third time getting groomed but figured maybe he was having a rough day. We arrived to pick him up and the lady was completely rude. Telling us we need to train our dog better and its our fault. I had to continuously ask her if we could pay so we could get out of there. Im not surprised he wasn't able to stop moving as the atmosphere was so chaotic with birds extremely noisy and it sounded like a zoo. Not from dogs. Not to mention the very unpleasant smell. I see now why we were able to get him in so quick. They charged us $30 and didn't even wash him and the parts that are groomed and his nails are cut uneven. Im glad we will be able to take him else where to have it done correctly. Save your money and time! What a headache that lady was. 30 years in business and they haven't figured out basic customer service! Shocking! P.S. Hand written notes everywhere to inform customers of random rules/info is tacky and trashy. Use the $30 you stole from us and print some professional signs that are more welcoming. I took my dog in for a quick nail cut. I should have checked my dog's nails before leaving because I found out later that's she didn't cut two thumb nails which were the reasons why I brung my dog. I'm definitely going back to make sure they get cut. read more

My wife and I have been bringing our dogs to Robin's for close to two years now. We get a bath and "summer cut" for my Aussie and a bath and nail trim for my wife's old hound dog. We both have nothing but good things to say about the job they do and their customer service provided. Giving a rowdy Australian Shepard a "summer cut" is no easy task and he always comes home smelling fresh and looking like a million dollars. I've compared prices around and Robins is a little more expensive but the extra $10 you spend there is worth the ease of service the provide. Love this groomer! In fact Blue (Aussie) needs a cut now! Please don't bring your animals here for their own good. I spent the longest time not writing a review or posting a comment anywhere but the more times I drive past the place the more I feel like I should say something. They may give the impression of being a nice, cozy "mom and pop" type of a place but it is not all that it seems. I boarded my puppy there a few times and I felt that I could trust them more with his well-being than one of the larger chain operations that offer boarding. I never boarded him anywhere else and no one else had ever been responsible for watching him aside from the people at Robin's. My dog was always happy, friendly, and loved meeting new people. Then I started noticing odd behaviours that certainly didn't come from me or anyone in my household. If you picked ANYTHING up in his presence he would cower in fear or run away from you. In his mind, anything in the hand was a weapon. He is almost impossible to walk outside if there is any noise because he is so extremely fearful. Whatever it was that they did to him while he was in their care turned a very happy, trusting puppy into an animal that is still in need of further rehabilitation to control his fears and anxiety. A dog doesn't know he's going to be struck with something unless someone has been hitting him. I know my dog's background. He isn't a shelter dog and has no history of abuse. I raised him since he was eleven weeks old. This was something that happened without a doubt in their care. They care more about the money and less about the animals' happiness or what damage they may do to them psychologically. Don't let the pictures they post here and on their terrible website to mislead you. Those are stock photos. And if you ever see a shot of what you think the interior looks like, it's a lie. One look through the window separating the work area from the lobby area and you can tell it's not the clean, airy place they might want you to believe it is. And the boarding? They will leave your pet in a wire cage for hours except to check on them for potty breaks and to bring food. There's little to no interaction and no play. Where would that happen? They don't have the facility for it. Expect to know your pet will spend his or her time in a cage being tormented by shrieking birds for hours on end on top of the shrieking, overworked employees. They also pad their own ratings and reviews to try and counteract negativity so you'll think they only have one or two disgruntled customers once in a blue moon. Not true. Given the unprofessionalism of the entire establishment it doesn't surprise me. So please, for the love your your animals that they claim to treat "as gentle as an egg", spend a little extra money and take them elsewhere. read more
