There was 1 cinnamon roll left in the container and I took it knowing more would come out with an hour left. Well that didn't happen. I even asked and saw several other people ask about more cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy and was told no there would not be more put out. I know one mom with small children was disappointed and then the muffins ran out too. If breakfast is posted until 9:30!then all items should be available until then. Or at least about 9:15 then start cutting it off. I think the employee wanted to get everything cleaned up and be out of there by 9:30.

Gourmet and better than any luxury hotel out there- I mean, we were stunned plus the kids were happy! It's walkable to cute shops/restaurants in town, and the view is beautiful. Catch more views and a great hike at Capulin Volcano National Park just 30min away (get there before 4pm!). We will definitely return next time we're in Raton!

Overall, really unique stay and I would recommend. I'm happy they're pet friendly and only charge a $20 fee. The backyard was great for my pup to play around.

Check in was easy and the women behind the desk was very friendly. We had an issue finding my reservation, but it was because I had already checked in online. For it being almost 10pm she was in a great mood! :) They were doing a lot of construction which was an eye sore but maybe it will improve the outdated style. The room was basic. Bed, shower and couch. On a cleanliness factor it was around a 6.5/7. There were stains on the floor and a few dust piles but nothing obscene. It did the job while we slept for a few hours. It seemed to be basically empty with a few other cars in the lot, so we didn't hear anyone. It did seem a little run down when it came to the broken laundry food, and the vending machine rooms being fairly empty. Enjoyed the fact that they had a continental breakfast. It had some juice options, waffle maker, fruit yogurt, coffee, bagels and toast. Wish they did have something with protein like hard boiled eggs, a tea option would be nice too, but it did the trick. Overall, 3.5/5 stars. I wouldn't choose to stay here for more than a night maybe two but in a pinch it all worked out.

TERRIBLE wifi. I could only get 2 mbps no matter what I tried. 1st world problem, I know, but for $91.00 a night...? Just saying... 2. $30.00 pet fee for a room that hasn't been renovated in 40 years, including a dilapidated floor that is coming up in chunks so bad it cut my toe! I get a pet fee if there is a floor to be damaged, but room 121 is way past protecting. 3. My room shared a wall with an abandoned meeting room or office of some kind, and there was a door between my room and that "storage area" that had the keyed lock on THEIR side. I propped a chair against it and hoped for the best. The place is old and tired, but the room was clean and quiet. And like I said, the folks that work there cool, which helps. BUT, $120.00 a night (including pet fee) for a room with rotting floors, a door that doesn't lock, and an antique a/c unit that sounds like a B-52 engine is a bit much to ask. It had recently snowed, so the parking lot was a winter wonderland. It was late, around midnight - but the doors were open and the manager (or new owner maybe?) Pete was very welcoming. Got set up with a room for just over $80 bucks. The room was small compared to most hotels, and dressed with basic furniture and bathroom amenities. It was clean, the toilet worked, and the memory foam mattress made me feel like I was in heaven. I slept for 7 solid hours. No outdoor noises, no upstairs stomping - frankly no complaints during my short experience. Pete even let me park the loaded truck in front of the office for mental security. There is currently no breakfast offered (Pete says it's in progress) and no vending machines or snacks/drinks available in the lobby. There are some gas stations and restaurants nearby, but I didn't have the energy to deal with walking in the ice/snow that late... Overall it was an easy go-to for a quick restful visit. With a few room upgrades and the soon to come breakfast, I think this place will have some potential. Pete is very friendly and the chick working alongside him had really cool hair.

The staff is very friendly but that does not make up for a room that is damaged, with floors that have not been cleaned. The ceiling had a previous leak or damage and the repair was by a handyman and not professionally done. The bathroom door had a 4 inch hole in it on the back side and the general condition of this property is "fair". There was old dilapidated furniture stuffed into the hallways under the stair cases that appeared to have been there for some extended length of time. The internet connection did not work as the password given was not correct. I visited the office 3 times to resolve this issue (had to go to the office as the room phone did not function - safety hazard!!)....and the best the office could tell me was to check with some of the teenagers who had just checked into their rooms....they could not get it to work either. I paid $145 for this one night stay....should have been 50-60 at most. The overall condition of the property on the exterior was unkempt and run down looking....will not be staying here again. Whomever is the area oversight manager for Wyndham should really take time to inspect this property before advertising it.

Then we had a DOG barking in the room next to us(sounded like a chihuahua) so we asked to change rooms. We told the girl at the front desk and she moved us upstairs and as soon as we got upstairs it smelled like burnt popcorn and the people across from us looked like they were living there with their door open playing video games and had their tv extremely loud that we could still hear the tv with our door closed and they eventually closed their door ....you could still hear it. So we told the girl at the front desk that we were leaving and going to another hotel (we were extremely nice about it bc we didn't think anything was her fault, but she seemed offended)....Well she ended up charging our card 3 times.... Dealing with the bank now to get the charges taken off. Everything about the hotel was gross and we do NOT recommend staying here. Go across the street!!!!
