But these folks are in a different class. They were extremely professional, while also friendly, informative, and skilled at diagnosing and fixing the problems quickly. I signed up for the VIP furnace and AC maintenance plan without batting an eye. I know it'll pay for itself in the long run by extending the life of my "mature" HVAC system. Their furnace maintenance was thorough, and the receipt included a detailed rundown of system pressures they took. They explained that these readings will be used as a baseline for comparison next year. They informed me about basic maintenance I can do. I'm curious about this stuff and like to learn, so I can do as much of it myself as possible.They even put easy instructions for annual water heater draining right on the unit. I have confidence in their integrity, that they will only suggest maintenance or repairs that are actually needed. Also, Leann went to bat for me when I ran into a snaffoo with my home warranty company, when they ordered the new water heater from Texas rather than getting one locally. Leann made extra calls to iron things out, got authorization to order a unit locally, and we had hot water pronto. Lawrence, thanks for your commitment to excellent service. This level of quality starts at the top. And thanks to your awesome staff for taking such pride in their work, and good care of me and my old house. The technician was very diligent about cleaning out the unit after a season of hard winter use which resulted in lime and dirt buildup that obviously caked on in the following spring/summer/fall seasons. It took a bit to get it back on line but he managed to do it for another season of use. I greatly appreciated his diligence and how he managed to get it up and running since it was not a mere replacement of a cartridge as many are these days. When Jim came out to perform our semi-annual HVAC servicing we told him that we were having trouble…read morecooling our upstairs rooms. He completed a thorough check of both our units and discovered one of them was not operating effeciently. He quickly diagnosed the problem and performed the necessary repairs, but about 30 minutes after he left our house I discovered that water was leaking from the unit in our garage. I called the office and they told me Jim would return and perform repairs as needed, and in less than 30 minutes he was at work on the faulty unit. He determined that the unit's drain pipe was blocked, and over a period of 45 minutes he used an array of tools clear the blockage. We have had no more problems with leaking water! In the 30+ years we have been Standard customers we have never been disappointed with the competence and professionalism displayed by every technician this business employs, and Jim certainly confirmed that we will be "sticking with Standard" in the future!
