With out doubt one of the best sandwich shops in the centre of Belfast. These guys really do the…read morebasics very well when it comes to the sandwich. Unlike most other city centre locations they don't mess around with hot sandwiches or paninis etc.. They keep it simple by offering an unreal selection of high quality fresh fillings and salads. The portion sizes are ridiculous (in a good way) they pile so much in it's hard to see how they make any money! My personal fav it's their club sandwich, this easily the biggest sandwich you can buy in Belfast, it's costs just over a fiver but would easily do two people. Along side the quality produce and massive portions the service is second to none. Bob and Christine run it and their banter alone is worth a visit, a nice touch is also the fact they give you a free apple with every sandwich for a healthy desert.

Then I realised that all salads are free and they fairly fill up the sandwiches and salad bowls look immense. They don't do toasties or hot food. All food is extremely fresh and you can see them chopping up all the vegetables behind, and the chicken is freshly cooked chicken breast not pre-cut frozen bags. Family run friendly business, and great to see these still exist and are going strong. You even get a wee bag of harbio on leaving - be warned he doesn't let you leave unless you take one!!

If I chuff on about how charming this place is, maybe it'll end up being inundated and I won't get my usual table... Anyway. I challenge any of you to find me a better coffee anywhere. That's a bold statement, isn't it? Forget about Starbucks and all that nonsense... When it comes to a good coffee, love in preparation is what matters. Love. Not firing out 3000 lattes per hour. You'll normally find me here, just either side of the lunchtime rush (there seem to be a load of solicitors nearby) enjoying a sandwich or salad (and a latté, of course) in nice, genuinely lovely surroundings. Highly, highly recommended.

It does a lovely lunch menu. It is strange that there are not more little places like this around Belfast, little locally owned cafes and it is unfortunate that this is not so. The best meal I have ever had here has to be their B.L.T sandwich. It is one of the best sandwiches I have ever. Made on brown rye bread and made with freshly made bacon it was spectacular. There soups are often pretty good as well. A worthwhile little place to stop in if you are ever hungry!

Clean, fresh, warm and welcoming with a huge choice, a good sized portion and a very decent price. The shop itself reminds me of a French deli with all the gorgeous cheeses on display and the shelves which are home to dips, spreads and chutneys! Seriously this is my kind of place! I once had a white chocolate cheesecake in here many moons ago and the image and taste are well engraved in my memory - it looked like something out of a magazine and the taste was thick, creamy yet melting and amazing. I sound like a freak but I will never forget it - haven't tasted one like it since. I can't rave about this place and the food enough - just go, you'll love it!

I'm told they also cater for functions and although have never experienced this side of the business if the food here is anything to go by it'll be a win win combination!!

The previous manager was an absolute gentleman who always (no matter how busy,) took time to welcome you and check on us during our visit, always had a pleasant word for my son. The current manager is very rude. He's changed the way you order. The manager takes the orders and seats customers doubling the wait time. (everyone is entitled to try a new system, BUT this one doesn't work.) You're waiting longer to order. We ordered a Full Irish Breakfast, Portion of pancakes with Nuttella, Toast and Jam (for 5yr old) (nothing on menu suitable for 20mth old, something as simple as a yoghurt would have done her), a btl of Fanta and 2 teas for a grand total of €30.70. The pancakes were advised on the menu as served with fresh fruit and cream, the Nutella was an extra €2. (There was no fruit or cream and the Nutella was so hard it was hard to spread on pancakes without tearing them up) Cost €9.35. The only bread option was sourdough or homemade brown, for the toast. What 5 yr old likes sourdough? (Plain Brennan's bread would be better) The Full Irish Breakfast price (€11.55) didn't include tea or coffee. What coffee shop/cafe doesn't include tea or coffee when having a breakfast? The pancakes arrived well before the toast and the pre cooked breakfast. As we were leaving my husband decided to approach the manager to enquire about the prices and was told that no breakfast includes tea or coffee. In reference to the pancakes a reply of "ah well". No apology or even an "I'll look in to it". When my husband said about the delay in getting seated he just said "we're busy" to which my husband replied that previously it was always busy but never with a wait as long as we had today, due to his new system of insting on taking the orders instead of allowing us to queue at counter as previously. This statement was met with a grunt. The current management don't seem to care about the customers as long as the money is coming in.
