I am not perfect nor do I pretend to be, but have more knowledge of the internal office and insurance workings than most. The practice, when the former Dentist owned it, was wonderful. You did not wait more than 15 minutes tops, and he was wonderful on an emergency appointment I had. They rarely booked out general care more than one month away. The receptionists although still there were happy and wonderful. In the fall of 2024, I was told while booking cavities for my husband, that they were short a dentist. I was told to call back on February 3rd and they could get him scheduled. I called Feb 4th and that April was the soonest they could do. I said fine, but said if he gets in any pain, he better be seen. It happened and they noticed a gum abnormality. We were scared. We were promised a referral to the periodontist they "always refer to" and we would get a call in 5-7 days. I twice called THIS practice asking if the referral was in place, both times got, "oh yes". 3 weeks later, I called my old contacts from my insurance days and got THEIR periodontists number. I called there and they never received any referral info and did not take insurance at all. While this is legal, and called "fee for service", it is very unscrupulous, AND A WAY TO GET CASH FROM THE PATIENTS. They make you file a claim with your dental insurance, hope the service is covered, hope their office coded it correctly , and you wait for a check. Its pretty "shady", in my opinion. I called THIS general dentist office again and they had no idea about the lack of referral or fee for service. I have great dental insurance, so I arranged my husbands care, was seen the same day but a great perio practice and not using THIS general practice any longer. I can not trust them, don't have the time or the patience to deal with this kind of unaccommodating, unprofessional, and some what shady PRACTICE they refer to. My mother used to say watch the company they keep, to judge integrity.

Since Belchertown is local for me and they were able to fit me in the next day, I gave them a try. Their location, not far from the town center, is easy to find. The waiting area is small but charming, and they have a couple of computers there, where I noticed kids playing some games while they waited. My wait was only a few minutes, and Nadia took care of my x-rays and cleaning in a flash. As she went through what she saw, she noticed that I only had one wisdom tooth remaining, and I mentioned that I intended to have that one removed too, when I have a chance. She told me that extraction was covered by my insurance and that they could take care of it at this same office, if I wanted. When Doctor Lin came in to see me, he confirmed that I could get that last wisdom tooth out, and he was thorough and very pleasant. As it turned out, they were able to fit me in first thing the next day (which was this morning as I write this review). Again, things today went very smoothly, and Dr. Lin performed the extraction. I was treated with kindness and respect in every way, and everyone made me feel as relaxed and as comfortable as possible (which is saying something since it's not fun to have a tooth pulled). Again, it was quick and efficient without feeling rushed. Nadia saw me again as I was leaving, and she remembered me and greeted me warmly. Is it wrong to say that I'm sorry that I won't need any further service until a routine cleaning in six months? This is the kind of office that is a pleasure to visit. Just the same? I'm glad that I didn't need any more work done. But I'd be in good hands if it were needed.

Some dentists I've met go on dental cruises, some have expired licenses on their X Ray Machines, and some rather ask for fees than stay in contact. But Dental Elements is NONE of these. I've found them all a compassionate crew of dedicated orthodontic experts determined to make a positive difference in every client's dental health. Your mouth is not just a collection of teeth, not to you, and not to Dental Elements. To myself and other patients, I consider the staff warm, friendly, and prompt, from sending appointment reminders or communicating via text to helping us feel comfortable in the waiting room or while seated in their office. I found the expertise and consultation they offered in service to dental needs making me consider the calcium in my mouth more valuable than any other polished mineral, metal, or gem. I can't do the community of Dental Elements enough justice.
