I've been seeing Dr. Bob for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say that his treatments have made a tremendous difference in my life. I came in with persistent back and shoulder pain that was causing me constant pain. Thanks to Dr. Bob's treatment, I've experienced significant relief and can now sit and move without pain. What sets his practice apart is not just his skillful adjustments (which are terrific!), but his genuine care and attention to understanding the root causes of the pain. Plus, I can always get an appointment for a time that works with my schedule, eve on Saturdays. I highly recommend Dr. Bob!! read more

I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a chiropractor. read more

I was doing Orange Theory 4 to 5 days a week and one day I pulled back while rowing in class and my back made a pop sound. Since MAY 2016 to today my back has been bad with a herniated disc. Last month I started going to Dr. Bob and he found my lower left joint in my back was out of place. Three sessions in and the shooting pain is gone. I am still going to go once or twice a month to ensure I stay on track but he has really helped me so far. His office is CLEAN, CALM, and he's a very personable, friendly chiropractor. Anyone will feel comfortable around him and in his space. read more

I am a patient of Dr. Bob's for over 20 years. He has helped heal my back and neck pains when I inevitably injure myself. Most importantly, by keeping to a regular schedule of chiropractic maintenance I feel that my overall health is improved and I am less prone to injury. Dr Bob treats my wife and two kids as well. My wife prefers the use of an activator and the rest of us prefer spinal manipulation. He also uses stim, heat, stretching, and cold laser treatments as needed. Given all the equipment he has in his spacious and private treatment rooms, Dr. Bob probably has many healing techniques suited to other patient's needs. His office is clean and modern. His staff is friendly. He accepts walk-ins or will set up regular appointments with you. My family is very pleased with the services offered by Lexington Family Chiropractic and we highly recommend his office. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Bob for 10 years now so this review is long overdue! There isn't one word that can describe my experiences with Dr. Bob. He's amazing, intuitive, knows his work, has a good bedside manner, is easy to make appointments, takes insurance and runs on time. I have gone to him when I've hurt my back and he has helped me get back on my feet. I find when I am disciplined about seeing him regularly my overall health is better. I'm so grateful to have Dr. Bob as a resource for me when I have a set-back. Thank you for your hard work, Dr. Bob! read more

I relocated to MA, Lexington and use to have a great chiro. Prior to becoming a regular patient at Dr Astapoveh's practice I had been going to another chiro for the past 3 months here in lexington and I was not satisfied so I started looking and found his practice. Dr Astapoveh uses stim machines, cold laser therapy, warm/cold packs among other things to treat you - Also, his adjustments are great (and they are manual). He is very flexible, has great availability and will work around your schedule. When you are in, you are given 1-on-1 attention and care. read more

I started seeing Dr. Bob right around the time that I found out I was pregnant with my second child. I saw him every 1-2 weeks throughout my pregnancy. He was incredibly helpful with improving pregnancy-related SI-joint, back, hip and neck tension/pain. I highly recommend Dr. Bob! I was mobile, strong, and pain-free right up to the end of my pregnancy thanks to Dr. Bob. read more

Dr Bob will make you feel better. He helped me after a weekend of mountain running and dog sledding that left me writhing in pain on a Monday morning. I googled "chiropractors near me," found his name and was in his office a few hours later. One and a half weeks later I am back to mountain running and dog sledding, but now I will be seeing Dr. Bob once a month to reduce the probability of a recurrence. He keeps to his schedule (little-to-no waiting!), is friendly and personable, made me feel comfortable, maintains a clean office and (most importantly) really helped me. Whether you are dealing with an acute or a chronic issue, I highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Bob is extraordinary as a practitioner and as a person. What can I say but that Dr. Robert Astapoveh fixes me when I am bent out of shape! I always feel better after a visit, my entire being feels more relaxed and I always notice that I actually breathe easier, leaving his office. My daughter discovered him almost 20 years ago after she sustained an injury. Her enthusiastic recommendation moved me to overcome my hesitancy and fear of being "manipulated." He is attentive, gentle, and appropriate in assessment and treatment. He pays attention in a way that is rare in health care systems. He doesn't try to sell you supplements or excessive diagnostics, handles billing and even Medicare without hassles. The office is clean, calm, and has great magazines - which I never get enough time to look at because I don't have to wait longer than a few minutes before my treatment. Dr. Bob has my highest regard and recommendation. I trust and depend on his work as an essential part of my health. If you are in pain, or discomfort, don't wait any longer. read more

Okay, this review is long overdue. Dr. Bob has saved me SEVERAL times, each time fitting me into his schedule with little or no warning--even the first time, before I'd become a patient. I went to him the first time because I couldn't walk (just woke up that way) and had no idea what to do. I had an unremarkable and unhelpful experience with a chiropractor many, many years ago, and I wasn't looking for a new one. TWO people who saw me hobbling around that morning (and heard me groaning) recommended Dr. Bob--independently! I took that as some sort of 'sign,' called his practice, and was on his table twenty minutes later. BOOM! A MIRACLE. There's no other way to describe it. Not a biblical type miracle, prooooobably not, but the kind of thing that happens to a guy once or twice in his life, if he's lucky. Something he never thought could happen. The direct application of a knowledge, expertise, method and gift--on a person (me) with zero understanding and even lower expectations--by an absolute master (Dr. Bob) in his field. At a time of crisis. With a result that was so sudden and so incredible, I began to wonder if my pain--now gone--had ever been there at all. One twist of my body, and I could walk, pain-free, as if the fourteen previous hours of scrunched-over, slow-shuffling, whimpering agony had only passed in my imagination. Meaning: DR. BOB IS A FREAKING GENIUS. I suspect that I haven't written a review before because I horribly/selfishly/subconsciously wanted to keep Dr. Bob available (at a moment's notice) and to myself! I mean, if you discover a pill that makes you twenty times as smart, you don't share it with everyone...do you? (Defeats the whole purpose.) And yet such reasoning is so un-Bobbian, I self-shamed me out of it. Why? Because TODAY, Super Bowl Sunday, two years after I last saw Dr. Bob, I woke up unable to move AN INCH. Not my legs, not my arms, not my torso, not my head. I didn't know what I'd done yesterday to cause such a physical apocalypse this morning, but I was suffering as much as I ever had (and I had a heart attack ten months ago). And THAT suffering was when I didn't try to move! My poor children put on headphones to dull my screaming. My wife wanted to call an ambulance, but I wouldn't let her. I knew, I ABSOLUTELY KNEW that this was a Dr. Bob moment. And even though I hadn't seen him in years, even though his office was closed, even though it was 11am on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY, I sent him an email through his website. When I received an automated response a few minutes later, I almost gave up (and cried). Five minutes after that, Dr. Bob himself CALLED ME AT HOME--and I did cry. And then things got even more ridiculous. Dr. Bob drove AN HOUR, picked up some equipment from his office (including a large table and some impressive machinery) and came to heal me at my house. A HOUSE CALL. An hour's drive, each way. On Super Bowl Sunday. WHAT?!?! I'm not related to the guy; I'm just some shmo who desperately needed help, again. And now I'm sitting at my desk, happily typing away, overjoyed that I will be able to watch The Game with friends, and still wondering, as I did the very first time this happened: did I just dream all that? Anyone with this type of problem. Pain in the back, leg, neck...whatever. (I don't know profess to know the limits of his wonder.) Consider yourself blessed to live in the same time and in the same vicinity as this most remarkable resource, a human being of extraordinary compassion and generosity, a healer without peer (or precedent). Just please don't tell your friends about him. read more
