This company is very small and does not have the capacity, talent, experience, expertise, and bandwidth to handle projects larger than one bathroom remodel. I do believe and hope they can handle very small projects but nothing more. They certainly failed us miserably. Because of their size & staffing, Rodas Constriction LLC lack basic structure, organization, communication, discipline, order and quality. Forget about customer service. For example, I visited my house four times during the renovation process. I found windows fully "open", doors unlocked and the air conditioning or heaters on without anyone present. This led to leaks and moisture penetrating various parts of the house afterward. I communicated these issues to Rodas ownership every time without a favorable result. Nothing changed. In fact, Rodas ownership did not accept responsibility and continued their work. Although small, Rodas ownership is "unusually" arrogant and will never admit to wrongdoings, will never accept accountability and will never own they are being negligent. On top of the mismanagement, negligence, and disorganization, the most important problem was that Didier Enrique Rodas and his company, Rodas Construction LLC, failed to apply for and secure construction permits for the structural work as well as permits for plumbing, electrical and other work they had performed. They didn't get the permits to save money and to avoid to doing their work legally, appropriately, and effectively. This act of non-compliance is against all rules and regulations. And...once you pay Rodas Construction LLC in full, they will forever ignore and avoid your issues and requests. They certainly did for us. We still have several exposed drywall openings they had created and don't want to fix. Rodas Construction LLC is very small company with only a handful of employees. But with their VERY small size, they do have a Director of Marketing who amongst other soliciting activities, he manages social media work. Strange...right? For example, this marketing director will soon respond to this post with an elaborate list of excuses for having failed a client who had paid them in FULL. He is the person who responds to all of my complaints to Didier Enrique Rodas. This company will never accept accountability for its faults, wrongdoings and they will NEVER fix issues they had caused. I can write many pages on the issues I had faced with Rodas Construction LLC. Aforementioned remarks are high level insights so consumers are aware. BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS! I do take responsibility for trusting and selecting Rodas Construction LLC. I should have known better. I was desperate. But do your research, check multiple references and do NOT pay anyone especially the people until you are 100% certain about the quality of the work.

Quality product, excellent customer service, professional workmanship provided by an amazingly quick, super clean roofing team(extra BONUS, no roof fragments or nails laying around) Wednesday evening my quest started, first searching through Better Business Bureau ratings, then comparing consumer reviews. I then emailed several roofing companies for a complimentary inspection. Thursday morning Matt Dempsey, with Reno Simplicity Roofing, reached out to me. He promptly scheduled a roof inspection for that upcoming Saturday. Upon inspection he found wind damage, he was confident that our Home Owners Insurance would agree regarding damage. He was happy to deal directly with our Insurance company, no easy task during this pandemic era. As promised Matt followed through, the next thing I knew We had our brand new Certainteed roof Installed!! All of this and we only paid insurance deductible!! Matt made this whole process quick and easy (no small task in middle of a pandemic). After our new roof was installed we had additional(unforseen) work done on our home, it involved a patch on our brand new roof. I contacted Matt, he explained we had received one of the last lots of roofing materials from Certainteed, the production of materials had been almost completely halted due to Covid Pandemic. However Matt promised he would search around for supplies.....what a relief when he called with good news, he was able to find the additional materials we needed! This was like the icing on the cake! After completion of additional work I asked how much we owed for labor and materials, I was stunned when he said it was covered under our Deductible! DO NOT USE, They have no integrity, cut corners and hide their issues. They do not seem to…read moreunderstand the basic understanding of water flow and overlapping of roofing materials. Ultra roofing seems like they would be a good choice and are very nice, but at the end of the day, they do not know how to properly roof a house. At first I thought that they maybe had a bad guy on their crew that was cutting corners, but after asking them to repair their mistakes, I realized that the Owner doesn't know or care about quality. CertainTeed offers certifications, but the one that Ultra roofing has is unregulated and CertainTeed doesn't add any warranty behind it. The certification is basically a one day online class and shows nothing on knowledge or integrity. I had a complete roof replacement done, but the attention to detail was extremely poor. When I arrived home, the roof appeared to be correct and the first thing I noticed is that I had nails throughout the driveway, yard, gutters and even through out the roof itself. I spent 3 hours cleaning up nails after they told me they would come back later in the week, which meant i would have nails in my tired and my kids would be playing around all the nails. I ended up collecting over 3 full quart size bags of nails. Next I did a quick look at the roof and discovered that they left a large gap between the drip edge and the vapor barrier. They also only fastened the drip edge every 4ft or so instead of the 8-10" that is stated by installation instructions. The corners of the drip edge on the house looks like someone was learning how to install them on my house with large gaps. I then started to notice that the starter row of shingles were improperly overlapped at the corners and that the overhangs went form 1/2" to over 2", which will cause the shingles to crack over time. While looking at the starter row, I started to notice that they were overdriving nails through the shingles and they never seemed to adjust their nail guns. This will allow the shingles to rip off easily in any storm. I then discovered that to save a few bucks, they installed shingles over the section of my roof that had the plywood removed for a ridgevent, instead of installing the extra section of ridgevent. I then took a look at the step flashing that was supposed to be replaced and discovered that they left the old step flashing and still charged me for the replacement. Lastly, I started looking at the penetrations and discovered they didn't replace 1 of the vents I was charged for, installed the wrong boot on the electrical penetration and didn't properly seal the other two. All these issues were bought up with the Owner Juan, and we discussed proper installation of each product. When he realized his crew didn't install the proper way that we had just discussed, he then argued that the installation was fine, even though it was not to manufacturers specifications and he refused to repair the issues. After getting a second roofing company to inspect the job and agree these items were truly installed improperly, Juan agreed to fix some of the issues. When they came to correct the issues, they ended up damaging the roof even more. They ripped, tore and folded shingles along with shooting nails through the new drip edge. After seeing these issues, I requested they come out and inspect the repairs and they thought it was fine what had been done and refused to correct the additional damage they caused. I am now months after the installation and drip edge is already falling off the house and they are refusing the repair anything. Please be aware that I know the owner of the company personally through events done together and if he is willing to do this to me, imagine what he is willing to hide and refuse to repair if he doesn't know you. They will hide issues and cut corners every chance they get and the pictures prove the quality of the install.

Jason responded quickly when I called him (from a referral from a more than satisfied friend) to investigate a possible chimney leak. Sure enough, there was damage to the chimney cap and siding that had resulted in a leak and the repair required a lot of creativity, ingenuity, and special customization of materials, all of which Jason handled with aplomb. He also replaced roofing boots which had leaked and later installed an unusual style of gutter guard which I chose to work best with my home and for longevity. Throughout, these projects required multiple visits, staying with the projects to obtain the correct materials and follow through, inspections, tweaking of various kinds (such as adding end caps to the gutter guards to keep out birds and squirrels), responding to address minor issues that arose, etc. I won't go into all these details. The point is that I am a cared for customer whose needs are continually addressed and in an ongoing, relationship-based way. And not nickel and dimed. This is so unusual in this day and age. I can't say enough how great it feels to know I have a safe, tight roof and gutters and will continue to...and that there is a reliable, community-caring person who stands behind me and his work.
