Ms. Schryer is both thoroughly competent and unfailingly resourceful in what I have found to be a sea of insurance-industry indifference, incompetence and bureaucracy. My mother's home and car were insured by a major national company whose name is prioritized in an alphabetical list. Upon her passing, it was utterly impossible to continue home and car coverage through them, despite my being on titles for both. After several phone calls and my satisfying their multiple requests that ended up being irrelevant, I had believed it was simply impossible to continue coverage while I was out of the country. A friend suggested either an insurance broker or a more local company. I am grateful to past reviewers that led me to Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas. With Ms. Schryer, not only was I able to obtain coverage for my mom's home without issue, but also her car. Unfortunately, I only realized that I filled out the wrong DMV form when I was finally forwarded a notice that the DMV had cancelled the car registration. Based on the DMV website, I would have had to pay over $1000 and wait 45 days before I could get anything straightened out. Ms. Schryer went above and beyond in helping me get the mess straightened out for much less cost and delay by connecting me with a DMV agent who was just as helpful. In closing, I cannot recommend Rachael Schryer in the office of Eric Olivas enough. Insurance is one of those things that you hope is uneventful, but when things go wrong, you want someone exceedingly competent and helpful on your side.

When Nancy retired and Ryan (Nancy's Grandson) took over the business, State Farm sent me to a different agent in South Reno. Not sure why that happened, but it was not a good match both for convenience and for quality of service. I called Ryan's office and as always they were fantastically helpful in guiding me through the process to switch back to them. Being back with this office felt like coming home. This is a very small, family owned office. They are accessible, friendly, helpful, professional, and just all around great at what they do. They have many clients from my building so Ryan is very knowledgeable about our HOA and the building in general. This office is walking distance from my home and while convenience is one positive factor, I would be willing to drive to continue to have my insurance managed by Ryan. I would give Ryan 10 Stars if I could. Naturally - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 2017: I love my new State Farm Agent! I had been with my local office in Yerington for almost 20 years and since they were literally my neighbors, I felt very comfortable with them. When we moved full time to Reno, my Yerington agent recommended Nancy Jones and said he thought her office would be a good match for me. He was spot on! Their office is in a sweet little brick bungalow with a lawn and lush trees and plants all around. This is a very small, family run business. When you enter, you are treated very warmly by one of the team or even Nancy herself and made to feel that you have been invited into their home. Within fifteen minutes, I felt like we were friends. Every other time I have been in the office I am welcomed warmly and always feel that they have the time to answer any questions and help with any insurance need I may have. Carri, Ryan, and Megan are knowledgable and professional and no matter who you deal with, they are there to help you, not to try to sell you something you may not want. I am looking forward to many many years of getting my insurance needs met by this very fine business.

State Farm offered the best rates with good coverage. I continue to have a good experience with this office. Most recently, I have been working with Stephanie and she has been very helpful. She is the first member of this office to invite me in for a consultation (I set up my policy over the phone in 2016). She tried to find discounts to keep my business and since then has been available through email for questions and updates. She is quick to respond and is very helpful. While I haven't met with Christina Kantrud yet, I have been very satisfied with Stephanie's help. Fair warning: State Farm is choosy about who they accept; my significant other was denied a policy due to an accident that was not his fault and was invited to try again after three years had passed. It is my understanding that this is a national State Farm policy and not the fault of this specific agency.

I was told the only way to lower them was to raise my deductibles. After yet another annual increase I called around and got better coverage from another carrier for half the premium. HALF!!!! Then I attempted to contact Ms Kantrud to cancel my policies. No one answers her freaking phone. After several attempts I called another State Farm agent who sent her an email. Only then did her office reach out. Now for the real kicker. When they called they told me I had all of these longevity credits that could lower my premiums and deductible. Ummm, where was that tidbit of information previously? She is curt and rude. Never again.
