I finally found a proper sprinkler service/repair/installation guy! Robert is the man! When I moved into my home a few years ago, the sprinkler system was a bit of a disaster as the last people didn't maintain it well at all and I think were just watering everything by hand. Between this house and my last house that had even more issues, I have probably worked with about 7 different guys and Robert is by far at the top of my list. Robert was prompt in returning my call and scheduling a time to come do the work. He was up front about his rate, and he arrived early to my home. He worked with an assistant and they tackled all 6 of my sprinkler issues in less than 2 hours. His truck was well stocked with parts and they cruised through each project also explaining to me what they were doing and what was wrong. I got some advice on three more projects that I'd like to do. Now, my entire yard has properly functioning sprinklers, the backyard has sprinklers in the one flower bed that have never had them before, and the ones in the parkway aren't soaking the car we park in front of our house anymore. It's been so refreshing knowing that everything is in order with our sprinklers and that our plants are all being properly watered. Although it wasn't a cheap deal, it'll save us money on our water bill in the long run as we had one valve that was leaking 24/7 so we should see a drop in our next few bills to what we should really be paying. read more

Like other people who have written reviews, I went through more than a year of unsuccessful sprinkler repairs before I found Robert here on Yelp. Robert and I spoke a number of times on the phone discussing what was needed to complete the job of changing a valve and some other sprinkler repairs. I sent pictures of the current system and we agreed to meeting to start the job. Robert called me to let me know there's a problem I told him I would arrive in 10 minutes. When we met he was angry that I didn't tell him that there was not a brass base. (He is the expert not me) In 30 seconds he decided it would cost $400 I said that seemed high. I can't say if Robert Kuebler is a good contractor because he didn't get past the estimate with me! I called him out for an estimate to repair a broken pipe to my sprinklers. Robert claimed I needed to move all the sprinkler plumbing to make it more accessible (to him), it would take 4 hours and run $400.00. I said NO to Robert Kuebler and called Jose Gutierrez (818) 384-7476. He fixed the broken pipe (no need to move anything) for $150.00 It seems that Mr. Kuebler must have a minimum price in mind for taking jobs (4 hrs @ $100.00 per hr). He should say so upfront and not try to turn every job into something that will fit his minimum price. read more

This guy is great! He immediately returned my call to set up a time for an estimate on some sprinkler upgrades in my yard. He was able to come the next day with an assistant. He was prompt and professional. He gave me a reasonable bid and was able to complete the job by the end of the week. He was able to complete the job in less time than he indicated on the estimate. He was prompt and professional as was his assistant. He was quiet and spotless. He did not stop for a break or to have lunch. He took the time to explain the work he did and walked me through the whole operating process. He did not try to upsell me on any other services and we set up a reasonable maintenance schedule. My automatic sprinklers were not working. I found Bob from a web search, called him and he was able to schedule me in very quickly. Other companies I contacted either didn't call back or couldn't get to me soon enough. The hot weather at the time made it urgent to get the sprinklers working again. Bob came out diagnosed the problem, fixed the wiring and actually made it better. He fixed the problem quickly and his bill was what I had expected. After two years, two different landscapers, and continuous sprinkler nightmares, I found people singing the praises of Robert Kuebler on my local NEXTDOOR. Portions of our new lawn were not getting watered. Entire banks of sprinklers would sometimes work, sometimes not. Random plants were dying and clearly the drip lines near and around them were not doing their job. So thankfully, we called Robert and WOW!!! I cannot say enough things about this extremely experienced professional :) Besides showing up on time and being quite personable and nice, what a knowledgeable, hard working and EXCELLENT technician he is!!! He found EVERYTHING that was not working and WHY. We were all shaking our heads about how badly things had been done by the other landscapers. Robert and his associate spent about 3 days replacing heads, drip lines, valves and making sure every inch of our yard was covered properly. This was about 10 days ago, and already I can see major improvement in some of the areas that had been neglected before. Even in this summer heat, things are looking a lot better already. I am looking forward to having Robert back on a maintenance schedule to check everything and keep our sprinklers in tip top shape year round. SO happy to have found such a dedicated pro who loves what he does. There is so much truth in the saying "you get what you pay for." Will Robert be on time, show up with a fully stocked truck, American labor and the knowledge to fix the problem the first time...CORRECTLY!! You bet. He uses the right materials, not the junk your gardener will install and stands behind his work. I had him come out to fix a leak my gardener had "fixed" the month before. The problem is that my gardener didn't know what he was doing, used the wrong, cheap materials and doesn't have the knowledge to do anything more than mow my lawn. Leave the rest to Robert. He also installed security lights and rebuilt 2 toilets. He does it all. read more

If you need a repair done DO NOT call Robert. We contacted him over 6 weeks ago to do a fairly simple valve replacement. We scheduled it for the following week. Robert went silent. We called, called again and called again. NOTHING. Finally after 2 more weeks we were able to reach Robert and he said yeah, I've been busy. Totally unprofessional and a complete disregard for our time or the need for our repairs to be done. So of course, he did not show up AGAIN. We were now 4 weeks in and no work was done- he never apologized and just cancelled on us AGAIN after having us wait 2 more weeks promising that he would be here. I guess he must not need the work. I had miscellaneous issues throughout my sprinkler system, including a broken sprinkler head and improperly calibrated or sized sprinklers. He and his assistant came out the next day, diagnosed my issues and they were able to repair everything on the spot because they carry all sorts of parts on their pickup truck. I am so thankful for finding Robert and his associate Kenny! They came out to my home and did a fabulous job on all the sprinklers, plus fixing a timer that has seen its day from the early 90's.
