After being initially happy with the skin care…read moreproducts that I purchased, I spent thousands on BBL laser to remove dark spots on my face, arms, and chest. After three treatments, my arms and face look worse. My face has brown patches that were not there before. Many spots on my arms got darker and never came off. I approached them and was told that they never told me a number of treatments and it could take 3-4 more treatments to work. However, when I was in the office, I was told that I would want to do three treatments, because if I did anything less, my arms would be splotchy. I would never have begun this process if I thought the cost would be potentially double. I let the owner know that this was never disclosed, and she did not reply. She just forwarded my email onto someone else who told me the owner was on vacation for a month. On top of that, after one of my treatments, I was bruised badly. The owner told me that this was not a bruise and is normal. Yet, four months later, I still have remnants of a bruise on my chest and I have to go elsewhere to spend thousands to fix what was started on my arms.

Which I could give zero stars. Worst experience ever going…read moreto this place and now I have something on my body to always remind me of the terrible experience I had. My tattoo was ruined when I got laser hair removal here. When Rose went over my tattoo I told her it hurt a lot and she denied that she made a mistake and went over my tattoo. It burned soooo badly but Rose still acted as if nothing was wrong. Rose ended up calling me and leaving me a voicemail apologizing for going over my tattoo. But she never admitted to her mistake or said sorry to me in person. The next few weeks I continued to take pictures of my tattoo and sent them to the manager. My tattoo was ruined because the laser hair removal machine is not supposed to be used over tattoos. Management handled this incident terribly. They originally told me they would take care of the cost for fixing my tattoo. I saw a few tattoo artists and they said they won't tattoo over fresh burns. So I waited 2 years to finally get it fixed. I reached out to management again and they have been consistently ignoring me. To make my experience even worse, every time I had an appointment, I had a different person. This place is not organized at all and there was zero communication between each other. So each session they were using the exact same settings. So laser hair removal didn't even fucking work for me. All I got out of this place was a ruined tattoo. Do NOT go here for laser hair removal unless you want to waste a ton of money. I waited a long time to post this review- I wanted to write this as soon as the incident happened but I decided to give this company a chance to make things right with me. But they have been ignoring me for months now and refuse to pay me for the tattoo that I had to get fixed.

I have had a lot of bodywork done over the years, but Eric is one of the best therapists that you…read morecan have for general aches and pains, targeted injuries, acute issues, or just giving you a general "look over" and identifying what is causing the stress and tightness throughout your body. While Zen Zone is not your lavish, over-the-top kind of spa or massage therapy provider, the space is clean and well kept. I would put it on par with the majority of the providers I have been to over the years and given the difficulty (and cost) of space in Boston, Zen has plenty of space dedicated to the services they provide. The price is actually pretty good ($200 for a 90m massage) for the services and what you get for that is BEYOND a value. Like I said, over the past 10+ years I've had just about every type of bodywork imaginable done (active release, grafting, dry needling, all different kinds of massages, TENS therapy, etc). I was always looking for ways to recover as an amateur competitor in CrossFit and that just causes the need to treat your body as good as you can so you can keep training and pushing. Now, with that out of the way let's get into my experience with Eric. This unicorn is well-versed in MANY different practices, but will tailor the services to your level of need and want in focus areas and pressure to be applied. I will say that my experience was not super relaxing, but that was what I wanted. We did active release, stretching, and deep tissue massage. These are NOT relaxing services to request, but what I wanted/needed at the time of my appointment. Not only did he meet all of these requests with fervor, but showed me a few other tricks I had not experienced personally. The one that sticks out in my mind is his attention to my head/neck/jaw after I told him of my cancer diagnosis. He did a full assessment of my body and decided to focus first on my head/neck/jaw with cold stone therapy and actually getting IN my mouth to release the tension in my jaw. Not something I would have thought of, but once he was done the difference was palpable and I was beyond thankful he spent this kind of attention on a place that instantly melted the tension and clenching away. I can't say enough good things about my experience from scheduling to paying (they even have the providers' Venmo displayed for tipping!!!). It was quite a first impression they left on me and I will definitely be back when I need this kind of intensive therapy or body work in the future. Highly recommended - 10/10, A+++
