Pham made me feel like crap telling me I'm breaking out "all over" when I have two pinhole size pimples on my face and one on my back. My acne breakouts were a huge issue in high school but it's been under control most of my adulthood. I have cheek scarring so I know a thing or two about breaking out all over. This most certainly was not the case today. She just has a terrible bedside manner. Like calling my breasts "folds" when I asked her to check out a fluid filling sac underneath one of them. And I'm not crazy about stripping down in front of a window with two vertical blind slats missing. Her assurance of nobody being able to see in because the windows are tinted didn't bode well with me. And that particular room has been like that for a year?! I mean come on with this place. I would heavily consider looking elsewhere before you visit this place. I know I am moving forward.

The staff is completely unprofessional and disorganized They will give you different information every single time you speak to them. They made me change my primary care provider to someone in their network so they could "accept" my insurance. I waited over a month to see the new provider, followed every step they told me to -- including getting a specific referral to the dermatologist they named in their office. I got the referral they asked, scheduled the appointmet and even went to the office in person a week before the appointment, and the front desk confirmed that my appointment was all set. Then, the day before my appointment, they called me saying they actually don't accept my insurance even after submitting the treatment plan themselves. When I asked for a letter stating that, they refused to provide one. I've wasted three months in this ridiculous back-and-forth because of their incompetence and lack of professionalism. The front desk (especially Jady) was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Every interaction left me more frustrated. This place is a complete disaster from start to finish. If you're dealing with any condition that already affects your mental or emotional well-being, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. They will only add unnecessary stress and frustration.

When making the appointment, I didn't feel like I needed to divulge all the reasons why I'm coming to see a doctor to a RECEPTIONIST, so I said I'd like to speak to her about some dermatitis. When I finally had my appointment today, the office assistant was quite adamant that I could only speak to her about the ONE thing I came to speak to her about because they had only allotted enough time for that. So, the doctor just absolutely refused to talk to me about ANYTHING else. It was a serious mind-fuck. Isn't a dermatologist supposed to check your moles or something as part of a routine visit? I felt completely rushed and disrespected - it really ruined my day. And the worst part is that they were so nice and pleasant about the whole thing. I get it. Doctors get paid for procedures they do, not to listen to you complain about how you don't like your complexion. This one will probably be more interested in me when I'm 40 and wanting Botox or skin resurfacing or whatever the fck the bored housewives of Arlington get for their bdays. This was a real disappointment. After reading reviews about a doctor who listens, I experienced something altogether different.

Dr Hirsch does not strike me as the type of Doctor you select for a "routine visit". The woman is…read morerenowned for cosmetic and laser dermatology, which is why I waited for an appointment. In my case, I decided to see Dr. Hirsch for laser hair removal and a general consult about what daily facial skin regimen would be best for me. The woman is adorable. She is full of energy and possesses a staggering wit. More importantly, she is devastatingly blunt. If what you want is unrealistic, she is going to tell you, and I think that is an extremely important characteristic for someone in her field. Luckily, my expectations were feasible, and after a thorough chat about my skin and what over the counter products I could use to keep me looking younger longer (which, although admittedly rather expensive, have been working like a charm!), I was ushered out to schedule the actual appointment for my procedure. The ensuing appointment was just as great as the consult. I am sure I looked slightly nutty in protective eyewear (lasers are bright!), a medical gown, and a hair cap. Yet somehow, Dr Hirsch put me at ease. She even gave me a stuffed animal to hold on to during the procedure. The day after the procedure I was surprised by how red the treated areas looked. It was a little scary! I called the office and the office manager took my information. Soon after, Dr. Hirsch rang my phone and walked me through my concerns. The redness was normal, but she was never condescending, and she even called me each day for 2 days thereafter, just to make sure I was doing well! And the results of the procedure?.... SO GREAT!! I will definitely consult Dr. Hirsch for all of my dermatology and cosmetic concerns in the future.

But I had heard great things about Winchester Electrology & Laser and I was finally committed to the idea of getting rid of my unwanted eyebrow hair forever. (And because you can't use laser that close to your eyes...electrolysis seemed like the only logical alternative. I was so ready to retire from my lifetime of plucking & preening!) Paula is wonderful - not only is she knowledgeable but she's kind, patient & always fun to talk to. On my first visit, she took the time to explain the whole process to me & what kind of timeline we were probably looking at. She could sense I was a little nervous when I asked her how much it would hurt. So she sweetly offered to do a quick trial session just so I could see if I thought it was something I could handle. (I could!) It's definitely a commitment but one that is so worthwhile. To be freed from my tweezers has been blissful. Now I have beautifully shaped eyebrows that I never have to worry about. I'm at the point in the process where I only go in for an occasional touch up...but eventually even that won't be necessary. Very happy!
