Zero stars Worst 27 months ever spent. I waited till I was well done with treatment to write this. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It feels like a brace farm with untrained assistants who lack in customer service and skill. Issues 1 assistants who are rude and rough they can try that with teens but it doesn't work with adults I made complaints early on issue 2 untrained assistants that do not know how to properly accommodate braces and clip wires and then tried to charge me for brackets which in the end I did not have to pay issue 3 they got my retainers wrong at least 3 times. Wrong mold wrong retainers, retainers cut too short that dog in to my gums. I went back 3 different times only for the first two times for my retainers to be from another patients mold. Incompetent place that is only interested in maximizing patient to maximize their cash. Would not recommend. Worst customer service experience ever. read more

Waited a Month for our first appointment and they had to reschedule because the doctor was off? Waited another month my son and I never saw the doctor . Staff took X-rays ( which we had taken 2months ago) and handed me a pay sheet . Everyone was super nice but there was no doctor present at all? read more

I'm surprised at the reviews on here. We have had a great experience with Dr. Herman and his staff. I've had two kids receive their braces treatment from Dr. Herman. We know several families who are either current or previous patients as well. I have no complaints and I never hear any. read more

This place is run like a full-on business. Everything they offer is a one-time thing, from braces to Invisalign to retainers. In the dental & orthodontist world, you expect a service that makes sure your teeth end up right. If something they did doesn't work, they fix it. At Dr. Herman's? They offer no "make it rights". Every retainer that was built poorly and broke costs more. If braces weren't put on right, it costs to fix it. You want to speak with Dr. Herman directly? That'll be $85. Dr. Herman is asking me to spend hundreds on more weakly made retainers? Do they actually want me to have straight teeth in the future? They will nickel and dime you because the personal relationships don't exist in such a business-oriented setting. read more

This hack created a 1/4" gap in my daughter's two front teeth and can only close it half way. Says she'll have to get implants to fully correct it. He refuses to take responsibility, refuses to pay for the additional surgery, refused to apologize for HIS inexperience and refuses to give us our money back for " NOT PROVIDING A PERFECT SMILE", In other words " breach of contract ". He is rude, smug and condescending! Very un-professional! Please help us spread the word to expose this arrogant unqualified fraud! He operates a "Puppy Mill" style orthodontic practice in Bartlesville, Tulsa, Pryor and Vinita. He and his team are in 4 different offices 5 days a week. The chairs are lined up like an "assembly line". The patient gets worked on by an unqualified dental assistant for most of appointment and then the Dr is with them for maybe 2 min. You can't tell me this operation is not all about the $$$! Patients pay a flat rate fee regardless of the number of appointments or complexity of the case. So he gains on most patients (the easy ones) and losses on others ( like my daughter, who is clearly above his experience level). read more

A few months ago I spent $500 to get a new retainer after getting my braces taken off since 2018. When I got my first retainer they did the impressions and not the scans like they do now. After going in a getting your teeth scanned you have to come back a week later to see if your retainer fits. They had to make a new retainer about 4 times after saying in a week my teeth had shifted even though I was wearing my retainer every night. In the hour and a half I was there and none of them fit. I was told to bite down on a bent suction straw and force them onto my teeth even after telling them I have TMJ which is a jaw disorder and can cause massive amounts of pain with there is a lot of pressure on my teeth. I was told there was nothing else they could do. My mom and I both had to call them to do impressions after spending $500 on a retainer I couldn't use. Luckily in the end they did do the impressions and I now have a retainer I can now use. But I would think after I spent that money up front btw so if I doesn't work out how you want to you will end up having to spend another 500 for them to hopefully do it right. read more

At first the staff were very nice. As time went on and we went through covid it was like they were trying to invent new reasons to charge you extra. You can't be 5 minutes late to an appointment but they can keep you waiting 40 minutes after your scheduled time. My son had to miss an appointment because of a school activity and when we called to reschedule it was 3 months later. So he went 4 months not seeing anyone and not knowing what invislign he was suppossed to wear or what to do in that 4 months. When we went in to the next appointment we were told it would be an additional $300 when I had already paid off all of his payments because now he had to be reevaluated. I agree with the others. Don't go!! Find someone who has time and cares instead of just pushing as many through in a day as they can. read more

This is assembly line orthodontia. All that matters is money. The dentist actually spent maybe a total of one hour with my daughter. Her braces were $8,000. They repeatedly injured my daughters mouth and have the audacity to get mad at me because I had the nerve to question their methods. We are done here and I recommend never take your child to these people unless you wish to pay top dollar for an inexperienced dental assistant to work on your kids teeth. I called this office over a year ago since they accept soonercare insurance and the secretary had told me that I need a referral from my sons dentist before I can make an appointment. So I asked his dentist to fax over the referral and they did....several times over months. Every time I called, I was told they didn't have it and I know for sure it was sent. It sounds like they're not very organized. The ladies who answered the phone didn't seem to care and blamed me and my sons dentist for not sending it. To this day, I've never heard back. It just sucks bc there's only like three orthodontists in Tulsa that accept his insurance. Ugh!! read more

As a current patient of this facility, I can say with all my heart that I have never dreaded going to an appointment as much as I do with this place. It takes around an hour and a half for me to get out of there each checkup on my braces, and the majority of the time I'm sitting in my chair waiting for the doctor to get moving. Most of the time the nurses are the ones to work on me, and once they are done we both just sit there awkwardly for ages waiting for Dr. Herman to come by and check on my progress. Most of the time he isn't even in the patient area(Where all the patients go to get worked on, I forget the name). I agree with another poster that It's all about money. My child was referred to Dr Herman by another dentist he needed braces but needed teeth pulled first. Unfortunately my insurance wouldn't cover braces so they wanted me to sign up for their finance payment plan and I chose not to at that time. Despite the fact that my child needed teeth pulled regardless of braces they refused to release my child so we could have them pulled elsewhere unless we signed up for the payment plan. read more

This place is horrible! It is ran like an ant farm. We have spent over 7 grand on our daughters teeth and he doesn't even acknowledge the parent when you are in. They had the oral surgeon pull a tooth and hook a clip and chain on the impacted adult tooth. They pulled so hard it broke. Had to take our daughter back in for another surgery. When I told Dr Herman this happened and I wasn't happy. I told him he might communicate with the surgeon so it didn't happen AGAIN. He took me in his office and pretty much chewed my butt. He travels around to several different offices. We were in a terrible wreck and I had to reschedule some appointments because they took priority over a tooth that wasn't moving. I thought what is a few days difference? Well it's $1400 and told we were noncompliant. They accused our daughter of not wearing her bands. The office manager told me to correspond all of the wreck appointments around thier appointments. Very unprofessional! He said he has spent way too much time on our daughter. Ummmmm he spends maybe 5 minutes tops on her then leaves his Ants to do the work. They hurt her every time. Make her bleed. The employee turn over ratio is big and always changing. That says a lot! Yesterday they call me to reschedule an appointment that I sat and worked out and agreed to the extended time and OUR MORE MONEY at an office in Pryor closer to us. Those were our terms to the disagreeable noncompliant fee and time that WE are giving. Well let's just say it's funny that HE has to keep a Dr appointment the office manager said "sorry but he can't miss it" NO SHIT? We had to do that and got charged. I would not send my worst enemy to them. In the beginning I worked for a dentist so they gave us a discount. The lady told me "Don't get fired" the last few appointments they kept asking our daughter where I worked. I'm no longer at that dentist. I now own and run a beauty shop. This tells me that part of the extended fee is to receive the discount back. Another issue is and was that all appointments our daughter has to make have to be done on Monday mornings because of school. As a parent who has to run a business and take a child to 100 Dr appointments it's VERY difficult and nearly impossible but I have done it most all the time on my own because my husband is a Firefighter. I cannot express my disapoinntment and madness I have for this place. I have tried to move her but it opens a bigger mess. We have a retainer that will get at the end that is paid for. Wish I could get it and go someplace else. To have to go in this place literally makes me and my daughter sick. Compassion and understanding is not part of thier work ethic.
