I've been working with Tony Watson since 2013. He does our personal returns, our S-Corp returns, and until I took it on myself he did our daughter's trust and partnership returns. I very much appreciate Tony's work and the conversations we are able to have. I feel that he shares his knowledge, experience and judgment and provides solid value for his fees. And our conversations are enjoyable. That counts for something! read more

ROBERT HALL FOUND TAX SAVINGS PREVIOUS ACCOUNTANTS MISSED & THEN DESIGNED FUTURE FINANCE STRUCTURES TO MINIMIZE TAXATION After we retired to California we looked for an accounting company to educate us about California before during and after buying a new home here. We were fortunate to hear about Robert Hall and their free tax consultation. The valuable information we received from John Goshima convinced us that Robert Hall would help us deal with "high state taxation". When we reviewed our previous New Jersey and Massachusetts taxes John found several missed opportunities several of which could be recovered. We spoke to him about renting our condo and he outlined the benefits and protection of establishing an LLC. A year later we are enacting that advice. With Robert Hall we feel confident that their team of experts, like John in particular, have the knowledge help us pay what we owe, and plan towards future years when our income is less diversified but also, minimized. read more

We have been going to Robert Hall and Associates for 15 years now. They operate in the realm of the tax world that can only help you to get through the perilous time every year that you get your paperwork together to play with or not the Feds and the state. This year like several in the past we were under the stewardship of John Goshima. As per usual John was his usual friendly and helpful self. The problem I had was waiting for the necessary 1099's from the establishments that we had accounts with. I believe they are held to the time of end of January to send 1099's out to their customers. But don't hold your breath if they dawdle around and exceed that deadline. We had to wait a week before getting all the 1099's we needed to finish our taxes for last year. After several calls to the errant institutions we were ready to roll. We had an early appointment with John and his work was all neatly set up and ready to finish for our refunds. John then instructed my wife over the phone on how to scan the errant 1099.Like a well oiled machine John turned in the finished returns to the capable and very sweet Karen Baker who sent the returns in electronically and now we patiently await our refunds. The overall view of Robert Hall, by the way a name I despised while attending school and had to listen to commercials about a clothier company with same name touting the end of summer and time to buy for back to school with Robert Hall. I love this Robert Hall due to the consistent results that through their own due diligence bring to us. Also the professional people in every capacity that work there is truly matched by their friendly and cheerful energy. I also appreciate the bowls of candy in the entry way. Tax time can be gruelling and filled with apprehension but Robert Hall and Associates always give us the results we hope for along with their professional and friendly manner. I recommend Robert Hall to big business, as well as smaller individual accounts like us. We always have a good experience with them. read more

I refer ALL my friends, family, and real estate clients to them-- and every single person ends up thanking me later. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my taxes. If you're not working with the Watson brothers, you're absolutely leaving money on the table and not getting the best tax advice available. Robert Hall & Associates has been preparing my taxes for both my business and personal filings for at least 20 years now. The value compared to the cost of the tax prep is excellent. In addition to tax prep and filing, RH&A has the time to answer all of my questions and concerns throughout the year and not just our annual meeting. They are also able to connect me to attorneys, insurance brokers, mortgage brokers and financial software experts. I completely trust them and their network of professionals! read more

Evelyn Bekter at Robert Hall & Associates is a class act. She handles all her clients, like me, with care and respect.

Our Filing appointment was last July 2025 which went well. RHA forgot to electrically file for some reason and the IRS only received in September. We still have not received our refund and have no answers as to what is going on. Signed a POA for IRS services around the holidays so that they can do the calls themself, and still nothing. After numerous calls, which my contact refuses to take, and emails with no answers we still are waiting for a refund. ABSOLUTELY horrible communication. We will not be back but would certainly like the Refund which we are due or at least some answers as to who is responsible. read more

There are moments when change arrives faster than clarity. After the sale of my home, with a move three thousand miles away ahead of me, I've been reminded how heavy decision-making can feel when the responsibility is entirely your own. I'm grateful for people like Tony cueva who show patience during these transitions--often without fully knowing the circumstances. I pray for guidance through this period, and if you're standing at a similar threshold, I hope you find the answer you need as well. read more

I switched to RH this year after struggling with my previous CPA for the past two years having to file my returns on October 15 evening and always having hard times getting answers back. In contrary, John always answered my questions in details and in my recent tax return overview he really took the time and explained everything clearly. It is very refreshing to have a CPA who is actually "available" for questions! I am very happy I made the decision to switch. read more

I have been going to Robert Hall & Associates for about 25+ years now. Mike Watson was my advisor for most of them and he was/is fantastic. This year I worked with Armo. I really enjoy working with him. He is knowledgeable, helpful, patient and kind. I also want to give a shout out to Lupita. She was extremely helpful when I couldn't find an upload in my Smart-vault. It was no fault of hers that I couldn't find the document and she called to make sure I located it. Thank you. Also a shout out to Daniel who assisted me with questions/concerns etc. I like the new streamlined system they are using as well. read more

I've been having Robert Hall and associates, handle my taxes and accounting for the past 20 years. During that time, I have had the pleasure of working with a number of the quality accountants on staff, there. I have been working with Daniel Passon, for the past 10 years and he has been excellent, in so many ways. The tax preparations are efficient and I generally leave the meeting with completed taxes, and payment stubs for current payments due and estimated due. I always leave satisfied, and relieved! read more

Poor communications and customer service, but they eventually computed my income tax returns correctly by the tax filing deadline. My advisor was late to both appointments I had and hurried through them. It was impossible to speak with my assigned advisor to find out the status of my return (only his assistant, who relays messages), and I was concerned that they would not finish my return because they missed two dates by which they said they would be done (dates given by them, not set by me). This caused some anxiety as I thought I'd have to have somebody else do my taxes. Their tax return services are not cheap, but they eventually did good work on my returns. However, I got the impression they were just too busy to deal with me. read more

I was interviewing Robert Hall & Associates as I was in search of a new CPA. I expect a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, qualities that were entirely absent during my initial calls with Robert Hall & Associates. I was asked to provide sensitive, confidential tax returns prior to my initial consultation. However, during the call, the representative (Tony) didn't reference my documents once. Worse, he couldn't distinguish between a 'tax overpayment' and an 'audit,' repeatedly mischaracterizing my situation despite my corrections. Following this, communication from the office was non-existent. There is no direct number to speak to a human being. For a firm that handles sensitive financial data, the lack of preparation and poor communication is alarming. If you are a high-performing professional who values your time and data security, I suggest looking elsewhere read more

I had an excellent learning session with an appointment with Antonio Cuerva at Robert Hall Associates about my 2025 tax return. He took the time and care to review nearly a dozen tax documents I sent him, and even set an additional, no charge appointment to fit them all into our very detailed and helpful discussion. Among other items such as income and loans and other rental property issues, he clarified important questions I had about depreciation which was a principal issue on my mind. I'm happy to have had my experience with RH Associates, and am delighted to recommend them! read more
