A friend of mine sent my information to a person in the Sacramento Officeteam, and since I am looking for a job local to Stockton, she referred my information to a representative from Stockton Officeteam named Rachel Guzman. I was looking for a job in the Technology field (Data Entry, or anything that will required me to work at an office that's higher than what I'm getting paid now) She had interviewed me online through Skype, and while I was told by Mara from Sacramento that I could get a rate of a minimum $19 dollars an hour, Rachel told me that with no job experience, she could only find one for me that's only $12/hr. The atmosphere kind of died down when I told her what I was expecting since I have a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, I think the rate is WAY TOO LOW, considering the fact it's only 50 cents higher than my After School job right now. Since I was consistent about her finding a job for me that will give me a rate higher than that, she asked me what my typing score was, and I told her that it ranges from 68 and up wpm. THAT was the only time she got excited to help look for a job, since I guess she was not expecting me to score pretty high on those tests. She took a look at my test scores (both typing and data entry) that I guess was sent directly through Robert Half, and she said that I did great on them.
She asked if I could do less than two weeks notice, and I said that as much as possible I would not like to do that given that I wanted to be professional and wanted to treat my current job fairly. Since now that I've proven to her that even without experience I am capable to excel well in these areas of technology, I thought it was okay for me to stand my ground, which is wanting to get a higher rate than $12 dollars at least. BUT, I said in the e-mail, only if it's POSSIBLE, meaning if she could at least still try.
After that, I left her several voicemails, left her some e-mails, and SHE NEVER E-MAILED BACK or CALLED BACK.
I think it's frustrating since I heard a lot of good stuff about this company, and I'm very disappointed in the Stockton Officeteam. Because I think it's very unprofessional for her to leave me hanging. And the last e-mail that I got from her was on August 15, 2017 and it is now October. And that was the same day that she interviewed me. After that she never got back to me after I reached out to her. She could have forwarded my info to someone else, OR told me she can't find a job for me. Like I said, it's unprofessional, and stuff like this will make potential candidates run to other types of staffing agencies. If this continues, this company will continue to have really bad reviews on Yelp.
Hopefully they fix that. read more
