Don't ever look for answer to be resolved from Tracey Laird. She is not helpful at all. As far as Job placement I was always called for an assignment. I enjoyed working with the company I worked there for thirteen years, but it took one messy women (Kang) to handle my case, and then try to have Christopher Gardner give me another causing some real issues. I can't think of the lady's first name right now , but I will update this as soon as I remember, but Christopher Gardner you are wrong read more

If there is one person that helped me out with my employment situation, that person is Shezad Allaudin. When I first met him, he was a recruiter, and now, he's a Vice President. He used to be chatty, but now he is straight business. Don't be disappointed because he truly does care in the well-being of your career. Whenever I needed a job placement in the downtown district, he was able to help me out. Overall, I just like to say thanks to my man, Shezad, as I still have a wonderful working relationship with him. read more

I'm so glad someone referred me to the agency. I worked with Shezad A. in downtown and Emily C. in Westwood. They were so amazing! With their help, I was able to secure a position with a top firm in under 3 weeks. Both of them were attentive and always quick to answer any questions. I was presented with several opportunities to interview in those weeks as well. Working with this agency exceeded my expectations and I'm very grateful to have worked with them! I had the chance to work with Accountemps team and was able to successfully complete a great assignment. My experience started when Shezad Allaudin got my number and in just couple days I got my first interview. My first assignment was with the right company since Shezad wast guiding me all the way through the process. All the questions were answered on time and all my preferences were taking into consideration. The Accountemps professionalism is on other level and they will go above and beyond to find the right job for you. Will definitely recommend to my friends and acquaintances to get connected with Accountemps team. read more

I cannot tell you how much I truly believe in the power of Temp Agencies. They are able to get to know your needs, your career goals, and help you get into the interview room of an incredible company. Melody and Bridget at Robert Half in DownTown LA are IMPECCABLE!!! I had just finished a three year graduate school program on the east coast, so the move back to Los Angeles seemed overwhelming. There was so much to do. I needed a job. One call to Robert Half however and they approved my candidacy (after a quick skype interview) and they immediately started putting me out on interviews for non-profit, legal, administration, and coordinating positions at top notch companies. They really believe in be which felt so nice to have that kidn of relationshisp with them! I am happy to say that I work at the American Heart Association, a non-profit I love because it make an overwhelming impact difference on our health and work. Melody and Bridget are so welcoming and very prompt when returning calls or answering my questions. One of the best recruiters I have had by far in the past 5 years. I'm amending this review because my thoughts have changed...or at least I'm less naïve now. I was originally requested to write a review within weeks of joining. I wrote my initial review for the wrong reasons, as my motivation for doing so was "if I scratch their back, they'll scratch mine". My recruiter is a real people person and very personable. I made it known to my recruiter that obtaining a permanent position was the main objective. After my recruiter reviewed my resume, he acknowledged that I was light on experience and truth be told, I was/am. I slowly started to be at peace with the fact that I would be better off proving myself with "opportunities". Eight months and three primary "opportunities" later, I realize that recruiters just want to keep you there as long as they can so they can also personally benefit. There is nothing wrong with that not I'm not upset about it, that's just the nature of the beast and I'm less naive about it. What I do wonder and question is if recruiters have any incentive to find permanent employment, instead of only temporary work. I'm not sure that is the case. I've completed multiple assignments and have been told how well I'm doing at them (then again, the roles wasn't that challenging). Despite this, my objective of getting a long-term position is on a stalemate. I've been willing to work in the outskirts of LA. I've also out-sourced. I've gone of several in-person and phone interviews with no luck. To go on a random tangent; the purpose of a phone interview is to find reasons NOT to hire you and save money/resources. The legitimacy of some of the in-person and phone interviews are also questionable. Some of the interviews, in hindsight, had the vibe of a "dry-run" instead of the actual thing. After virtually every interview, I would get a call from a rep saying something along the lines of "they really like you, but they are going to go with someone else who has more experience". Literally the same cliche, cop-out reasoning every time. Companies should know whether or not you have the experience they are looking for beforehand. So the question lies, why would they waste their time and mine to interview me (assuming that my application was previously viewed)? There were also occasions where a recruiter wouldn't bother to call me about a job position I previously interviewed for until a completely separate "opportunity" was proposed. There are some things a person needs to know before signing up. For one, when a recruiter says "I have a temporary-to-direct hire position" it really means "I have a temporary position" or to be snarky "I have a temporary-with-no-true-intent-to-hire-position". Recruiters will mislead you to think that the assignment can lead to being permanent when in actuality, there is little-to-no intent for the company to hire. Let it be known, if you're introduced with a "temporary to direct-hire opportunity", it's strictly temporary. Is false hope better than no hope? I wonder. Another thing you need to know is you will never be told when your assignment ends until the evening of the last day of the negotiated contract between Accountemps and the company you will temporarily work for. There is a lack of disclosure and vagueness, as many of my questions went unanswered. It's almost as if recruiters just want you to "shut up and work". Lastly, do not be as naïve as I was. Recruiters are doing this for them, not for you. Do not confuse your primary interests with a recruiter's primary interests; which is networking with companies and commission. The recruiters will check up on you periodically, show moral support and answer some questions. But as long as you work under the agency, they benefit too. This isn't intended to be a raging diatribe about Accountemps and/or my ineptitude although it can be perceived as such. Nevertheless, people doing this should be able to know what I now know and what I wish I knew previously. read more

Shezad and his team are clutch! Amazingly placed me at an assignment close to home, so that I could walk to work in downtown L.A.! Moved here from DC last summer, and they were able to find a good fit for me within a month or two. I recently took the opportunity to convert the temp assignment to a permanent role. Also coached me on preparing for interviews as I am not a strong interviewer. I've already recommended them to my colleagues whom are looking for a career change or jumpstart. read more

Very rude and was not effective in their services. I had called months ago asking about a new job as I was relocating. The woman on the phone boasted that I NEEDED to be in my location because they place people within 2 weeks. I thought wow this company is efficient and really cares! After many MANY calls and very rude staff pushing and prodding me into different departments, a gentleman named Christopher Garnder (00295) had said he would be my recruiting agent and DEFINITELY help me attain interviews and a new job. After I had taken many tests and spent time doing as they asked of me, I heard nothing. I contacted Christopher via email and he gave me a short reply saying after 2 weeks of nothing that 'he would send soon' or someone else would be sending me jobs and more information. Then 2 weeks go by I email, no response. I call him directly, no response. I call again, after their rude staff seemed very bothered by my inquires checking in after month, then leaving a message for Christopher. He NEVER RETURNED my calls. It's now been over a month. Also to note, I have more than 5 years experience in my field and a master's degree. If they couldn't help, I would have rather them tell me they couldn't help. VERY RUDE, TERRIBLE SERVICE! read more

I can say that I have loved my time with Accountemps so far. I have been with them since I signed up April, and have worked with this particular Downtown LA branch since June. They have put me on 3 different assignments so far, and all have been good to great experiences. I would also concur with the other reviewers here about their glowingly positive opinions of Shezad. He has been a great, patient friend and a wonderful teacher. As someone who had a really hard time finding a job after college, I can say that Accountemps really do work hard for you. They have teaching programs for you to put more skills on your resume. They follow up, call you, and generally make you feel like they care about you. Hopefully, I can update this review some day if I get a permanent position through them. Until then, I look forward to working with them in the months to come. read more

I was a senior in college with no vision of what I would do after school finished. I contacted Shezad whom I met a couple of months prior at a "Meet the Firms" event. Shezad set up an interview for me within the same week, and found me a position within 24 hours of the interview! Shezad and his team were fantastic! Vanessa and Erica would contact me often to make sure I was well accommodated and helped with any questions I had. They made me feel very comfortable making the transition into a professional environment. Shezad is such a great guy, very straight forward and professional. Being that this would be my first time in a professional business environment I was very nervous but Shezad instilled confidence in me and I am proud to say that I now have attained a permanent position even before I graduated school. Accountemps is batting a thousand. In the past 15+ years the last four jobs (all temp to perm conversions) I have gotten are a direct result of the diligence of the Accountemps team. They always seem to find a great fit for me. The entire staff is professional and eager to help. After 11 years in the same position, I was laid off. I filed with Accountemps immediately; but because of my salary requirement, there were not a lot of jobs available. I met with Vanessa Masilungan in the downtown LA office, who committed to find me a suitable position as long as I was patient. I also signed up with a number of other recruiters without much success. After a year of unemployment, I was ultimately placed by Annie Alvarez (in the downtown LA office) in an amazing position that is an ideal fit. I highly recommend Accountemps for all finance professionals who are looking for job opportunities. read more

I have worked with Robert Half DTLA for the past three years. I started working events with them at the LA Convention Center. After that event, they gave me a lot of admin temp work. Many of these positions have been with Fortune 500 & high profile companies in DTLA, Arts District, Koreatown and close to public transportation. These opportunities have allowed me to build valuable admin skills that I can bring to any corporate environment. The DTLA Team is GREAT. I love working with Kelsey and Sabrina who have placed me in great assignments and locations. A Huge THANKYOU to them for all the super job opportunities and wonderful clients I have been able to work with. Yes, I have been offered many good full time admin positions, but my main gig is an event manager which I LOVE... They are highly communicative, detailed, kind and helpful throughout the whole booking whole process. I highly recommend this office. DTLA is on it. read more

It's all a scam. I was called in for an interview for an immediate position they had available for me. Spent the interview talking about current and former jobs "how many employees do they have? who's the supervisor"? all in an attempt to find people to solicit their services too. Now you know why they are so adament about "3 or 4 professional references." We're taking time to come in like dumbasses, hand them our hot leads with contact info, give them two resumes listing past jobs and past supervisors, and for that we get to spend 3 hours in a fake office taking tests that cannot possibly be aced. There is no job. Read the listings carefully -- they never mention the company name and they just provide basic info regarding open positions. You are NOT going in to interview for a real job. You are going in there like a drug mule, dressed in professional attire, and bringing in valuable information (leads) that most companies have to pay good money for. The office furniture they have is a good metaphor for the soulless vultures that work for OfficeTeam: from a distance they look nice, new, clean, and sophisticated but when you get up close (or in my case, sit on the chair), you see really how fake, mass-produced, cheap, and dangerous they really are. I understand it's a numbers game, but have you no decency to scam people who are just trying to look for work? To call them in the next day for a fake interview, have the applicant drop everything and rush to fill out the application, compile references, etc., all to make your own numbers for the week? And as a final "f*** you," have us pay for parking! This is downright sinful, illegal, and the vile staff would be better suited working as used car salesmen or selling gym memberships to the naive. read more

This staffing company should receive negative 3 stars. Here is what others say about RHL http://temporaryattorney.blogspot.com/search?q=robert+half+legal As other reviews say, I seriously doubt that they have that many "real" job openings----their job "opening" postings on CL, Monster, Career Builder seem too good to be true. Their job postings are always very generic, too vague, and don't even disclose specific job locations. In any event, I was asked to come in for an interview/filing paperwork because I had responded to one of their CL ads, believing there were positions available through RHL. Just like others say, they do not validate for parking. I was asked to fill out tons of paperwork and to take a test. As for an "interview," my recruiter clearly didn't care what I wanted nor was she interested in knowing my qualifications. After all that, they have assigned me absolutely no position whatsoever. I asked my recruiter to share my resume with other RHL offices, but she REFUSED! Useless staffing company. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Worst job agency ever! I wasted two hours filling out paperwork and interviewing with a rep named Didi. She gave me this whole speech about how many contacts they had in the legal field and how many positions she would be able to set me up with. I never got a callback, EVER! After countless emails and voice messages, no one ever reached out to me. I tried applying for jobs through their website and never received any response. This review is from my personal experience from January 06, 2012 and ongoing. The Office Team (Robert Half International Company) on 865 South Figueroa is an exceptional job placement agency. It is for a good reason they celebrate "20 years of administrative staffing excellence". Why is this office exceptional? They have Melissa E. who is a committed senior staffing manager. Melissa and her highly resourceful staffing team, Janet, David and Katie offer service that is above and beyond any other employment agency in the greater Los Angeles area. Melissa E. is an asset to Office Team, I must say she is a leader in job placements industry. Even though Office Team has a broad connection with many renowned companies, hence a very large organization, I am connected to them on a personal basis regularly. Signing up with Office Team in this sluggish economy was a lifesaver especially it is challenging to find a job in LA not knowing Spanish like me. I can count many hundreds of ways to describe the persistence and dedication they have given to me but it is better if I list the most important. From my first day of meeting Melissa, before I left their building I was assigned to two interviews. One I accepted right away and I was employed immediately the very next day of meeting the Office Team Staff and have been employed ever since. Seeing a paycheck every Wednesday in these difficult times is rewarding thus I am compelled to write a good review. On a regular basis, Melissa and her recruiting team have kept all our communication open and direct via phone calls and emails, thus the recruiting process is highly efficient and provided rapid job placements. Never was there a time where I missed an assignment because of a miscommunication. Call them and say Nadia C. from Yelp sent you. You will not regret, whether you are a high school graduate or have a post graduate degree. read more

I've worked with different Robert Half offices, mostly in Northern California and it has always been a pretty good experience. I moved back to LA and started working with the Downtown office. I first went in to interview for the SPS position but they ended up contacting me about a temp to hire position at another company. TERRIBLE! I've had success with them in the past..2007-ish. But as of a year ago I'm not sure what has happened with this office. After years of working I decided to take some time off and focus on my studies. After 6 months of being out of work I decided to go back into the work force. I looked everywhere for jobs, sent out my resume all day and night long for months and was not able to find anything. Either I was over qualified or under qualified. I would get offers from firms that were not willing to pat a decent price ( if anything at all). I eventually took a job at a business firm (small, one attorney, office manager and me the legal assistant). I was excited to start a new chapter in my life and work. After only one day of working I learned why the legal assistant quit. The attorney was a rude, disrespectful and a all around jerk (to put it nicely) and let me tell you I have worked for some difficult people. My skin is very tough but some people do not deserve to have good employee's so I left. I spent another few months looking for a job not finding anything. One day I ran info my friend who told me about her experience with Didi at Robert Half Legal. She went to meet with Didi and was placed in a job within 2 days ( although the turnaround isn't always that quick she could tell that Didi wanted to help her and place her with a firm). I called Didi shortly after. I made an appointment to go meet with her and she placed me with a firm that day! Talk about a short turnaround time. Not only did I have a good experience with Didi but the entire staff was pretty awesome. I was greeted by the receptionist who was very nice and helpful. After meeting with Didi I met with David who was also awesome and helpful. They were all caring and I could tell that they were all there to help me and their other clients. Before this experience I wasn't too trilled about working with a temp agency but Robert Half Legal has changed my mind. The staff was amazing and on top of their work. Earlier I told you the story about the horrible lawyer. Robert Half Legal is not only concerned about placing clients in firms but they are concerned about the well being of the client. They have strict policies about being in an ethical work place. They don't want to place people in firms that don't treat their employee's well. If you are unemployed and need a job or are looking for a place, I highly recommend Robert Half Legal in Downtown. read more

They TOTALLY suck! Over a year ago, they sent me on an assignment with Wells Fargo and said it was temp to hire. At the three month point, I called Office Team and they said that Wells prefers to have a long term assignment.. They said things like "they think you're great and I'm sure they'll use you." At months eight and ten, I called Office Team to get an update about the status of my assignment. I would get put into voice-mail and wouldn't get a call back. I called several times and when I finally got a call back, the person said that I was doing fine, but they hadn't heard back from Wells Fargo. She said that she would check in with my supervisor at Wells Fargo and ask about if they were planning to hire me. I let it go and waited again for a couple of months. In the mean time, there had been another temp at Wells Fargo who came in after I did who got hired. I tried to call Office Team and either didn't get a call back, or got vague promises with no specific info. Finally after a year, my attitude started suffering. After a year and four months my supervisor at Wells Fargo told me that my assignment was going to be ending after another couple of months. When I called Office Team to ask about that, they acted like it wasn't a problem. I asked them if they could help me find a position that I can transfer to and the person at Office Team was indignant and said that they couldn't find me another job until my assignment is over. So I spent much of my time from there on trying to set up job interviews on my own. I had to take several days off because of job interviews and then they let me go from the Wells Fargo assignment early. The entire experience with Office Team left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. The only reason I took the assignment in the first place was because it was a temp-to-hire. I knew that the assignment didn't utilize my ablilities in the best way. They also for the first month or so kept screwing up getting my pay in on time. I was never able to talk to the same person at Office Team and I never knew who my contact was supposed to be. I cannot reccomment Office Team to anyone. They don't treat their employees well and I feel like I was taken for granted. read more
