I'm giving two stars only because while the agency does have volume, their execution is lacking. There is a major disconnect between the jobs they email you and the preferences you provide--I still get roles located way too far away. Furthermore, their recruiters are very difficult to reach. I've followed up on several interesting leads with zero calls or emails back. If you're looking for a proactive partner in your job search, you might find the lack of follow-through here frustrating. read more

I was contacted vigorously for a position they had available. The representative Bianca provided me with incorrect information. Communication was great until after the interview. I left multiple emails, messages and text and to date no response. I finally contacted the office and requested to speak with her regarding the response of the interview and whether I should continue to look for other employment. NO ONE EVER RESPONDS. If you are needing help from a Job Recruiter PLEASE look past this company. They do not support the people looking for jobs it appears as if they are only looking to fill the positions to get paid not to help. I am extremely frustrated. I used to work with Robert Half every time I was looking for a legal secretary position and it was always a good experience. One time I was assigned to someone and ended up working with this same person on and off for years. She was fabulous. I was on the phone with her one day, her husband was calling and she told me she would call me right back. That was over two years ago and the last time we talked. I tried calling her, texting her, leaving her voice mails and sending emails. Nothing. I finally sent an email explaining my frustration and disappointment. No response. I wrote a review of how frustrated I was on Linkedin and someone called me the next day. Within a month or two of working with her she transferred to a different location. I only found this out, b/c I felt like a pattern was starting and reached out to her to find out why I was not getting any calls and/or emails about open positions. She's gone, and now I have a new one. I have had to reach out to her as well, but in her defense she did give me a call yesterday. Last weekend I saw a remote position that was perfect for me. I was unable to attach a cover letter, so thought I would email the person at Robert Half directly, attaching my resume and cover letter. I was blindsided at a firm I worked at for years in 11/2022 and wanted to explain my lack of work. I worked 5.5 months in 2024. another story, but will to say Robert Half was not involved. I have emailed this person about the remote position four times, called her mid afternoon today, was told she was on another call. I left a detailed voice mail. It is now 7:06 p.m. and my call was not concerned. I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. I am not sure why I am being ignored and why this has turned into somewhat of a pattern. I had not been in contact with this recruiter for a couple weeks and received a call this morning (not sure what it was regarding) but I mentioned "I'm so sorry this is just not a good time" as it wasn't a good time to speak, which then was met with "well then maybe don't pick up the phone" and then she promptly hung up. What kind of service is this? It was quite rude and unprofessional. I only picked up because I was expecting a call from my medical provider and thought that was the phone call. And my response to that email here: Jacqueline, As you mentioned, "recruiters and staffing firms are not to be used as a sole resource for job seekers, we encourage everyone to look for opportunities on your own in addition to utilizing our services." Let's be clear, I did not initiate contact with you. You initiated contact with me. You reached out to me about employment and then you did not follow up. Simple as that. I was not looking for employment as I work full time in a remote capacity. You reached out to me about part-time opportunities and I thought it might be nice to earn extra income, especially if it was also remote. So while you make a fair point here, it does not apply to my situation. Additionally, if you were doing all you could to help me as you mentioned, then I definitely should have received communication from you regarding the status of the position I applied for. But as you stated yourself, you did not reach back out to me. So now it makes sense why Deidre called me. Neither you nor Deidre communicated that Deidre would be sending my resume to her clients. Neither of you mentioned anything about the previous job. Nothing at all. People won't know what's going on unless you tell them. In fact, in cases like this, over-communicating is probably best as working with a third party is difficult enough-the least you could do is be timely in your communication. This is the problem with recruiting and hiring right now. Sure, you did all you could to help me except actually communicate with me. I emailed you, I left a voicemail for Deidre and your response to me is that you didn't get back to me right away because you had no update? Let's be clear about something else, it's not that you didn't get back to me "right away," but you did not get back to me at all. Literally, not until 4/5, nearly a month after you initiated contact. And the email I've attached here is so unprofessional. Your point about you receiving 500 emails a day is also fair, (albeit unnecessary) but who's responsibility is it to manage that? Is it mine? No, it's not. Am I supposed to say "well she probably gets 500 emails a day so it's okay that she didn't follow up with me?" Come on. While I understand the challenging workload, I suggest you take more accountability as "I get 500 emails a day" is not it. Ignoring is an unprofessional and an immature way of handling candidates, I don't care what you tell yourself. If the workload is too much, speak to your supervisor. It is not wrong of me to expect a follow up from you. You stated that the only thing you can apologize for is not getting back to me and well, the core of my yelp review was regarding you not getting back to me, Jacqueline. There was no other concern so I'm not sure what else you would need to apologize for, but thanks I guess? You have the audacity to tell me that you're disappointed? If you're disappointed, be disappointed in yourself, not my review of the experience you gave me. Furthermore, if you read my review thoroughly, you would have gathered that I no longer wish to be contacted by anyone working at Robert Half, meaning I do not want to work with you. I left that initial review on 3/15. So you emailing me on 4/5 to tell me you don't want to work together anymore is null and void. Terrible experience. So very upset about it. Maddie, the LA Legal Recruiter, reached out to me for a FaceTime interview. We scheduled it, and I received a calendaring confirmation from the firm. I waited for her call. It didn't happen. When I called to see what was going on, she was profusely apologetic. She said she was so sorry and messed up and just got the date wrong. (And that's Ok! It can happen to anyone.) We rescheduled, and had a good conversation. She then said she'd introduce me, via e-mail, to the Creative and Office Team and get me plugged in right away. It never happened. When I followed up, she said she'd get around to the introductions, and also urged me to "apply to all positions you see on LinkedIn, Indeed, etc." Which seems contradictory to the goals of a staffing agency? Based on my experience, I will never use, work for, rely upon, or trust this agency ever again. read more

I worked with Robert Half's downtown office in LA to help me find a job. There were assignments they placed me on that were fine but there was one particular experience that made me not want to work with RH anymore to find a job. I was placed on a temp to hire assignment. This was a client that offered great pay & benefits to it's full time employees so I was gonna put all of my energy into it to get it to convert to full time. A week before my previous assignment ended Is when I was pitched this temp to hire opportunity. It took the client a month to get me in for an interview and then a month to get me a start date after I accepted an offer from them. During these 2 months is when I collected unemployment to help pay bills. I finally start this temp to hire assignment and a month into the job, the client canceled the position. The cancelation had nothing to do with my performance. This meant that I was out of work again. I couldn't file for unemployment again since they only let you file one claim a year. This meant that I had zero income for a few months. It was after this I decided not to work with RH anymore since the income as a temp employee can be very inconsistent. I was able to get my very own full time job with out the help of RH a few months later and I never looked back. One of the best decisions of my life. read more

Post law school, I ended up in recruiting for a little over a year and learnt the ropes of great business development and the importance of building relationships with both candidates and businesses. I ended up back in law and soon to be admitted to practice, and finally felt that it was time to be on the other end and bring on a recruiter to help advocate for my background. I remember putting candidates first and truly feeling inspired, and was hoping to have someone good on my side. RH Legal in LA has been a particular upset for me. I have contacted many on my own through Linkedin and to no avail, no response. There was one response to which I was given an open ended message to call anytime without the single care to reach out and set a specific time and send a calendar invite. So I kept getting phone calls, emails, voicemails from this recruiter JARED LITTLE. I finally respond because he keeps enticing me with this specific job he thinks I'd 'be a great fit for.' So we FaceTime, he interviews me, I tell him I am looking to relocate and then I follow up because he didn't. He tells me he has ANOTHER job now and the interview will be in LA around roughly 1 - 3 PM the NEXT day (Thursday). So I tell him I can be there. We then have 2 more phone calls for "prep work" and I send in references before the interview the next day. So, I call out for work, pack my things, drive 2.5 hours after work to LA to stay the night, and email him that night to confirm the exact time. He responds the company has not gotten back to him, but we can "shoot for Friday" I tell him nicely, I mean, I called out for work, can we please try for tomorrow like you had said? He says he will get back to me. I email him the next morning (day of supposed interview) and he emails back at 8:00 am saying they are getting in contact w the company and to "hang in there." I never heard back from him... never got another reply. I just waited hours at a cafe in LA until I decided this was a waste of my time. He completely flaked. Sooo unprofessional and such a waste of my time, energy, gas money. This isn't even the end of my encounter. I could just say so much more; but, I would never do business with these people they are reckless and seem to think you have all the time and energy in the world to expend. Also, really love the endless emails and texts I got from this guy when things didn't go exactly his way. Never felt more disrespected and then treated like I'm expected to do whatever some guy says. read more

I'm very satisfied with this Accountemps office! I had a career switch mid last year which lead me to Accountemps. For someone without any kind of accounting history or experience other than some classes, I found it ridiculously difficult even getting a response from job applications I put out there. I wouldn't even get denial responses from firms I applied to. Accountemps was able to help search with me and landed me a pretty sweet public accounting position! Shezad, Vanessa, and Hayley were my point of contacts throughout my experience and I couldn't have been happier and more satisfied with their services. They give you the inside information you'd require and advice you'd need to prepare for the job interview. After landing the job, they kept following up and checking in with me to see if things were going smoothly and how I felt about the overall experience at the firm. Payroll is pretty easy to do and is completed weekly (which means you get paid weekly)! Overall, if you're searching for an accounting related position, or want to make the switch to accounting-as-a-career, I'd highly recommend letting these guys help with your search. They seriously have the inside connections to some big named firms as most of those firms will go through Accountemps first instead of going public with their job offers. I do have some words for people who are thinking of letting Accountemps assist in their job search: This is a two way street. Accountemps isn't the one who's giving you a job and isn't the one to get you hired. That's entirely on you and your interviews with the firms who choose to go through Accountemps to hire. They can bring you many opportunities and find you interviews for jobs, but it's entirely on you on how well you perform at these interviews and how you advertise yourself to these firms. DONT DO IT......not only were their fee structure unreasonable, the person working with the legal team Mr. Yo, was extremely harsh and unprofessional. we contracted with an attorney and robert half charged us $141 per hour but paid the poor attorney only $70 per hour.......gouging is what there have been doing during this most strange time with the lack of employees in the market. When we queried about it, Mr. Yo came back spitting fire and then terminated our relationship thereby stopping service and telling their employees to stop working for us. WOW! is all i can say. Only use them if you're desperate. They don't care about you as a person, all they care about is making money off of you. Predatory liars who will try to glean information off of you like where did you interview, how much was the salary range, etc. so they can try to get the company as a client and bar you from being hired. In fact, that's exactly what happened, twice, seeing jobs I interviewed at being listed on their site, with the recruiter I spoke to's name on it. Of course, when confronted, she lied to me both times. Also lowballed to the max on everything that was sent over to me. I actually tested this recruiter when she contacted me about an "urgent" need to hire someone, where this company had already contacted me about 8 months prior. I asked her "what makes this so urgent?" I waited for her to finish and I said "they already contacted me 8 months ago." She panicked and asked me frantically where they contacted me, and then said an employee that was temp-to-hire had quit suddenly and that's why they were looking. Would I still be interested? Lol. No. They want your contacts and will slip comments in re: the salaried professionals program like "...and we'll ask you to put together a spreadsheet of all your contacts and where they are when you're not working at an assignment" and "before you sign your life away to us". They will lowball you on that program then when an actual assignment comes in, they'll lower the salary they quoted to you and lie about it again saying that's the range that was quoted. Highly unprofessional. You're better off on your own. Their clients are all 1) companies with highly toxic environments 2) companies not doing well 3) companies that want to replace someone 4) companies that failed at finding candidates in their own search, or all of the above. If you want to get your foot in the door, by all means. If you're top quality, they have nothing for you. read more

While Accountemps has a good network of available positions, they are just another temp agency. You are nothing more than a commission for a broker's pocket. I have had three opportunities come my way with them but declined them all due to location, duration, and/or pay. I doubt I'll hear back from them. With them, it's all about locking you down for a few months and getting the commission. This goes for all temp agencies. It's best to have three or more recruiters working for you.
