Even that slightly sawdust scent that goes with hardware stores. Now, this store does not carry the reputation of two that I have reviewed before. But if I lived in Wimborne, I'd be a happy camper. Collandars, graters, knives, tupperware, caddies, drainers, cookwareand then hammers, nails, screws, and thingummies. They also do garden furniture, indeed, there was a very rustic looking one on display outside. I really could have spent ages snooping around, but hey ho, time is the master of our lives. They have some very good offers at times, and in the spring I really love examining the garden centre and picking some good perrinniels for the garden. The staff are always extremely friendly, and I find the customers usually are too. It's seems amazing how much there is to laugh about with complete strangers in a DIY store. You can also shop on line for certain items, but delivery is usuallyabout three weeks later.

The store stocks everything you will need for any project you are attempting at home from new bathrooms and kitchens to paint, screws and wood. Along with the main store there is also the garden centre area which house many types of plants and gardening equipment. Then store has a very large car park and although the store does get busy with the large size of the store and car park it isn't that noticeable. For you DIY needs B&Q has to be a first choice with its variety and great prices.

You can get good quality S hooks here for your pots and pans; something that is hard to find in North American kitchen stores -- that is because we rarely get European quality items. Great selection of kitchen scale (albeit expensive) and molds for chocolate and cookie cutters. Pastry chefs would not be disappointed. I wish my luggage could fit the 8" round cake liners. Superb customer service. After endless food photography and scenery shots, I ran out of memory on my SD card, they carry that as well. If only we weren't travelling on backpacks... 160 Canadian dollars later, yikes. My husband should have hidden my credit card in a jar of lard, but the new additions are going to be well loved. I have popped in many times on the off chance that they've got a right handed thingamy-jig or similar, and only once have they been unable to help me (and were seriously apologetic to boot)! This is service as it should be - the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and polite. The prices are sensible - only marginally more expensive than B&Q in most cases (and much cheaper overall when you consider that you don't have to drive that far). Absolutely fantastic I can't believe this type of shop still exists, but I'm very glad it does.

Over the years that have added more and more stock to the same sized space. Whilst you can go in and find nearly everything you may want or need, you will struggle to go around the piles of stock on the floors as well as shelves. It's always cold in the shop which is a shame as it puts me off sometimes from going in. The staff are always lovely though and give you a smile.
