She met us for the first time at a park, and I must admit I was a little nervous for our first time family pictures! I was put at ease the second I met her. She spent more than the allotted time with us, and even went off and took one on one pictures with my (then 3 year old) daughter. Please remember that it's a one woman show, and she really takes time on each of her clients pictures. You're not getting some cheap unedited sears portrait done where they snap it and print it the same day. Going through all the photos made me teary-eyed, laugh, and immediately wonder if it'd be weird to use our wedding photos as bedroom wallpaper (my s/o convinced me this was a no-go, haha!). Ryan is not only obviously an incredible photographer, but he's ridiculously fun to work with. Hours before our ceremony, we needed to change venues which I worried would ruin the day. Despite the haze of anxiety and panic, Ryan had us all laughing and feeling present and excited! He's fun and knows exactly what he's doing, which made everyone feel at ease. I'm notoriously awkward in photos, but with Ryan, I just felt comfortable and ridiculously stoked! Okay, one last thing about why you definitely need to book Ryan is he's extremely fast! We weren't expecting our photos until at least a month after the ceremony, but somehow two nights later I got a very happy surprise that they were done (like I said, he's a magician)! She was impressively responsive, extremely personable, and exquisitely professional. I had so many qualms and anxieties headed into the shoot that quickly dispersed once I met her in person and we got started. Melanie opened up her beautiful home to me and made me feel at ease. She gave me plenty of direction while still allowing me to share my creative suggestions. She kept to her word on when the initial proofs were to be delivered and I was blown away by what I saw. (My husband was too!) Melanie has a genuine knack for capturing the most beautiful aspects of any woman and putting them on film. I cannot wait to return again to do another photo shoot in a few years (or maybe even for maternity photos when that time comes). Her prices were so extremely competitive (even though she wasn't the cheapest) but the value I received from the quality of work surpasses what I paid. In the end our pictures came out AMAZING!!!! And they also got them back to us within 2 weeks, which was incredible. They even put some of the best shots up on our own website for our family to view and order copies of their own. Not only did they take pictures for us though they did some video as well. They put together a video with some of the music from the wedding and it was absolutely wonderful! Everybody that watched it cried and it really brought back a lot of the feelings and emotions from that day.
