I don't dress up, I don't do makeup, and I don't pose for photos. This should have been a nightmare for me and I almost did panic thinking about it but Wendy and Allen made the whole process fun and painless. I felt like a guest at their in home studio while Wendy worked her magic doing my hair and makeup. Later, I got to "play" with the camera while Allen used his expert eye to get my best side and Wendy directed him in poses. I didn't feel as though I was just standing in place posing for photos. Their lively fun banter combined with the photo shoot made it all a fun process and the end results are really where it paid off. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. I am beyond amazed and personally think this is the best I've looked and perhaps, the best photos of me. Not only are Wendy and Allen masters of their craft while working in their studio; they do an amazing job editing photos and letting your best self shine through. They were able to send me the pictures online within a week of the wedding - super fast! We loved them all! I would not hesitate to hire Allen again for any occasion. I really think he takes wonderful photos and his rates are very reasonable.

I was going to take a risk and was hoping for the best. They pride themselves in being "Walmart" of photography business. Prices are definitely good, but like Walmart, quality suffers. Luckily I only tried them out for engagement photoshoot first, but was so disappointed when I got back the photos. Out of hundreds of photos, there was only about 2 "decent" ones I liked. The ones "edited" ones honestly looked like something I can just edit on apple phone, and I don't know much about photography. On top of $400 for 3 hr photoshoot,I live in San Jose and had to pay for flight to So Cal and pay for hair and makeup; it was money wasted. I didn't even used the engagement photo for my wedding reception. I actually ended up using photos we took while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, because they were offering free 15 mins photoshoot and you only pay what you like ( we ended up with way photos we liked in this impromptu photo session than the 3 hrs spent with Prestige) On photoshoot day, Jan brought her daughter ( about 10 years I believe) as the helper. Her daughter was a sweetheart but it's still very unprofessional to bring a child as your "second photographer." I'm not sure if Jan was having a bad day, but I felt there was a lack of passion in photos and demeanor. It poured during photoshoot for 30 mins so I lost half and hour. I didn't get to go to my third location and I had 5 minutes left and wanted to do a quick outfit change to capture a couple photos in that outfit but Jan wasn't too happy about it but did obliges to my request. She didn't even offer to make up for the 30 mins we lost. I would've gladly paid a little extra. I gave them 2 stars because they were very responsive, answers all my question and concerns prior to the photoshoot, and I got my photos back quickly.

Bryan and Greta were wonderful to work with starting from the introductory call, to the engagement…read morephoto sessions and all the way up to our wedding day. They were very detail oriented when it came to capturing photos either for specific photos, outfits, and organizing special places. We have no modeling experiences but they were great at giving direction and having different visions of what to capture in short periods of time and they made us feel very comfortable. Bryan and Greta always provided a sneak peak to the photo sessions and then they gave us our chance to choose our favorites to be edited. During the day of the wedding, the Bryte Moments team coordinated well with our other vendors for them to be able to capture as many of the photos from the list we had created together during our detailed meetings. This included table visits, family photos and sunset photos during the reception. They are also very considerate about scheduled times and also the time of day that would affect lighting and themes during the sessions/event so there isn't too much to think about as long as you are flexible to work with them and their creativity. I would love to work with Bryan and Greta again and I would recommend them to capture the moments for your special day.

They shot our friends' weddings very early on and now they are our circle's unofficial wedding photographer. They are so good we choose them (LA-based) over many of the Bay Area photographers in our own backyard. Their work speaks for itself. It's hard to describe their work and style because it's really just awesome art. We also bought an album from them and it was spectacular. Yes, our wedding did cost an arm and a leg, but Apertura was one of the few vendors that was worth every single penny. We highly getting their album package... if you can afford it. They are a hot commodity now, but still maintain a level of humility that is admirable. People as good as them usually have big heads (we know, we've talked to many of them), so it's refreshing to see talented people get the recognition they deserve. But onto the real review... Apertura as a wedding photographer (they do shoot non-wedding events and commercial work as well): if we word to use one word to describe their technique it'd be "stealthy." And if there was second word, we'd use "intuitive." They shot our engagement session and wedding day so we know their technique pretty well by now. We also blog-stalked them for months before our wedding, hoping to take the best type of shots from every couple. In the end, it didn't matter. They shoot fast and furious, but with a genius eye. You won't realize how talented they are until you see them work. We were in San Francisco's Embarcadero Center and we moved from site to site without wasting any time. This is key during an e-session shoot and your wedding day. You want to spend the most time with your friends and family while still capturing key, breathtaking moments with a professional lens.
