    Kita

This was the perfect service that we were looking for. No stressful car trips to an office, quality care, and loving people. Both Doctor Marshall and Jenny are great people, they always keep us updated on their arrival time, and continue to check in on our cat Kita. We rather have in home service and will continue to have Roam Vet care for Kita's needs.

Animals are fortunate to have care such as this. Dr. Marshall and Jenny are top notch in every way. It can be challenging at times to find comprehensive, thoughtful care. We have had them take care of our cats through numerous visits. Our cats are all getting older (including a spicy eighteen year old!), so the home care has been instrumental in providing a less stressful experience for them. Highly recommend!!

"Thank you, Roam Vets! Sorry for my temper."

For many years I was a loyal VCA client at VCA Arden in Glendale, where I consistently had excellent care and compassionate service for my dogs. Because of those positive experiences, I trusted the VCA name and expected the same level of professionalism here after recently moving to Manhattan Beach. Unfortunately, my first visit here was the exact opposite. I arrived 11 minutes late to my appointment. I had my two-year-old son with me, and finding parking in this area was very difficult. When I walked in, instead of any understanding or even basic empathy, I was immediately told that they would not see my dog because of their 10-minute late policy. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself -- I understand clinics need schedules -- but the complete lack of compassion or willingness to help. There was no attempt to understand the situation, no effort to accommodate, and no sense that they cared about the pet or the owner standing right in front of them. As a long-time VCA customer who trusted this brand with my pets for years, this interaction felt extremely cold and dismissive. Veterinary clinics deal with families and animals who often come in stressful situations, and a little kindness or flexibility can make a huge difference. Sadly, this experience left such a negative impression that I chose not to reschedule and will not return to this location. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. A veterinary clinic should not only have policies -- it should also have compassion.

I had a frustrating experience at Family Pet Clinic of Redondo Beach and felt other pet owners…read moreshould be aware. I brought my two rabbits in for a visit and ended up being charged for services that were never clearly explained or approved beforehand. One charge was $22.50 for "brushing out poop" from one of my rabbits, which is something I easily could have done at home. I wasn't given any notice that this would be a separate service or cost. They also added a "wound service" charge, which confused me even more. When I asked what it was for, they said they think one of the rabbits might have a soft spot and suggested adding softer padding in the bedding area--but they also said they weren't sure and that nothing else needed to be done right now. It didn't make sense to charge for a wound service when there wasn't a confirmed issue or treatment. My main concern is the lack of transparency. If a clinic plans to perform additional services or add charges, they should explain them and get approval before doing them. Pet care is already expensive, and clients deserve to know what they're being billed for. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like unnecessary services were added without my consent therefore we will not be returning.

They brought her out and she seemed fine. They explained to me they were able to retrieve one raisin. I was relieved because I thought she swallowed more. Now when it came to cost, I know these things can be costly. The Dr assistant did want me to pay between 3,500-4,500 for my fur baby to stay there for two nights to check her levels. When I informed the Dr assistant I did not have that sort of money. The Dr assistant demeanor seemed to have changed, but she followed up with me after and asked how Prada was holding up. The doctor on the other hand was very nice and accommodating. Luckily my fur baby Prada is very much alive. If my fur baby has another medical emergency I would come back here. Especially since this is the only emergency vet open 24/7.

In the beginning, everything seemed fine. I was able to get an appointment within two days after my regular veterinarian referred us for an ultrasound. When I arrived on 1/8/2026, I waited for more than an hour. I understood they were very busy, and an assistant came out to explain and apologize for the delay. When it was my turn, I met the doctor. She was very professional and kind. She performed the ultrasound and took her time explaining the results. I received my dog's medication there, and they explained how to administer it and told me to call if I had any questions. I was instructed to give my dog two prednisone pills for the first seven days, then reduce the dose to one and a half pills. While my dog was taking two pills, he improved--he was eating, breathing better, and walking. However, once I reduced the dose to one and a half pills, his health declined, and he began showing the same symptoms as before. I called the clinic VCA 1/18/2026 on a Monday to ask if I should return to the two-pill dosage. The doctor's assistant, Kylie, who was very kind, told me the doctor was not in and that she would send her a message and call me back as soon as she heard from her. Tuesday passed, so I called again and spoke with a woman named Jennifer, who was not very pleasant. She said, "Didn't the assistant tell you they would call you when the doctor gets back to her? She's not here and won't be back until Thursday." Thursday Jan. 22 Kylie texted me apologizing and letting me know that she would re-message. The doctor ,never got back to her. I waited until Thursday. No one called. More days passed, still no call. I did not call again because Jennifer had told me they would contact me once the doctor responded. Nearly a month went by, and I never received a call. During this time, my dog passed away. When I took my dog to his regular veterinarian on 1/26. I was told that VCA still had not sent them the ultrasound results. I had received the results myself ,but I am not a veterinarian and cannot interpret them properly. I am extremely disappointed. I have lost trust in this place. I had even referred a cousin to them, but I immediately called her and told her to cancel and seek care elsewhere. Once you leave this place, it feels like you no longer exist. I am still angry, disappointed, and confused. They were very attentive while I was there, but after I left, my dog felt like he no longer mattered. I am strongly considering contacting a lawyer.

This is a review I didn't expect to be making and am very disappointed by my experience here today…read more First off, I just want to say, I've had really great experiences with the vet techs/staff. I've also had an okay experience with the vet. I'm not exactly sure what happened tonight, but just pure disorganization for sure. I first came here last Monday. My dog had some sort of large wound and raised bump on his paw. It wouldn't go away. My schedule is pretty inflexible so it's hard to find a vet that sees pets after normal business hours and doesn't charge an emergency fee. I stumbled upon HQPC on Yelp and it had great reviews. I called and was able to get a same day appointment. I spoke to Jay at that time and she was lovely. I came in at my appointment time, was seen right away and was helped by Angel and another vet tech or employee. I didn't get her name but she has tattoos. Both her and Angel were so kind and lovely. Dr. Amini was really helpful too! I left ready to leave a 5 star review, but just didn't have the time to. I came back today (Monday) as my pup wasn't really improving. I was happy to come back since I had such a great experience last week. I made a same day appointment at 7:45pm. I arrived 5 minutes late (oops), though that didn't even matter. I waited about 25 min in the waiting room. Once we got checked in, I waited another 25 minutes in the medical room. Dr. Amini came in for approximately 3 minutes, said he wanted to do a cytology and a vet tech will be in to help me. Great! Someone came in to help me sign the forms for the $500 bill. And then I waited and waited for another 25 minutes. Theres also some time unaccounted for so I honestly probably underestimated the time too. But I was here about 1.5 hours, if not more. Needless to say, I left. Michelle, who helped me out in the front to check out was very kind and understanding. She explained that Dr. Amini was running behind due to a surgery. I totally understand and please please triage and put more urgent pets before mine! But there was no communication of this at all. Just waiting and waiting. Dr. Amini was literally only in the room with us for 3 minutes. Michelle said she wouldn't charge me, which was nice. But I wasted almost 2 hours and nothing was done with my pup. I'm overall, just really disappointed with my experience.
