This was the perfect service that we were looking for. No stressful car trips to an office, quality care, and loving people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Both Doctor Marshall and Jenny are great people, they always keep us updated on their arrival time, and continue to check in on our cat Kita.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We rather have in home service and will continue to have Roam Vet care for Kita's needs.

I haven't been able to find any mobile vets that serve Lomita until now, and I am beyond grateful that I was able to make an appointment with them! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jenny and Dr. Marshall were so gentle and kind to my husky, Koko, and did everything they could to make the experience as stress-free as possible for him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were very thorough with his wellness exam, I sincerely appreciated the ample and easy to understand patient education that they provided throughout the session. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Without a doubt, this was one of the best vet experiences that we have ever had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I cannot recommend them highly enough and I feel really good knowing that my precious family is in good hands with them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can easily make an appointment online, and they provide intake forms you can fill out prior to the session to make the process smoother.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are looking for a home health visit, this is it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Marshall and Nurse Jenny were outstanding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Communication from start to finish was excellent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They arrived right on time and immediately put everyone at ease, both human and fur baby, which made a stressful situation feel calm and manageable. Having the care provided at home made a noticeable difference and took so much stress out of the visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing that really stood out to me was Dr. Marshall's approach. He genuinely welcomes questions and encourages conversation. He never makes you feel like you're challenging him or second-guessing his expertise. Instead, he takes the time to explain things clearly and makes sure you feel informed and comfortable with every decision.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jenny was equally wonderful. Kind, patient, and reassuring, she added to the overall sense of calm and professionalism.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Together, they made what could have been a difficult visit feel thoughtful, respectful, and very well handled

Animals are fortunate to have care such as this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Marshall and Jenny are top notch in every way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It can be challenging at times to find comprehensive, thoughtful care. We have had them take care of our cats through numerous visits. Our cats are all getting older (including a spicy eighteen year old!), so the home care has been instrumental in providing a less stressful experience for them. Highly recommend!!

"Thank you, Roam Vets! Sorry for my temper."

The appointment process was incredibly easy, and I love that you can see availability at other locations in their network -- such a great feature. The staff... where do I start? From check-in, to the in-room care, to the vet visit -- everything was top notch. Dr. Maheas took the time to go over all of my concerns, and as a slightly freaked-out dog dad, I had plenty. She created a simple plan, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable with the next steps. The staff was also great when going over pricing options. The no-pressure approach was so refreshing. Clear prices, fair prices, and no surprises -- which is rare and very appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience on what could have been a very stressful day. Safe to say we've found our new vet for Hugo!

Overall, very private equity pricing- nothing to do with the pets getting better service. I say try to go anywhere else but modern animal. They also just lack the professionalism- instead of saying upfront it's basically 3500 for each cat, they said it was 800 and then added bunch of stuff later on after i put my cats to sleep on gaba. Also hated the girl who tried to hide the pricing saying it was in the best interest for the cats, so i asked again and they finally showed me. They also charge for things they may use- so why not just charge after you are sure you used them. also told the doctor multiple times i can go to the VA to get his heart checked out but instead of that they said it was fine but wanted to run some extra test not covered by insurance in their office after i repeatedly told them i can take him to the va for get it cleared. this is horrible business model and should not be supported out of principle. this business model would mean less animals are rescued just for private equity pockets to get richer. Also the manager tried to poor shame cos i was appalled at the pricing and wanted to shop around and hello i did find a vet that charges 800 for full sleep and teeth cleaning. hallelujah. also no offense but 300 for rabies shot is also insane.

When I got there they don't offer that kind of service but they gave me a dose of flea medicine anyway. I was impressed by this service. A few months had gone by and Obi had passed away due to the heart condition. They contacted me for a follow up appointment and I told them the news. They sent out a signed card which I thought was so thoughtful considering he was almost a patient. I was really touched by this kind and simple gesture. Because of this when I got a new puppy I immediately thought of this place. They are on the pricy side but all of the office staff were extremely nice. I was in and out relatively quickly. They constantly pushed things that the dog didn't need - it's like they are incentivized to get you to a $500 minimum every visit. "Let's check her thyroid again" blah blah blah- every time. In November I brought her in and raised concern about red spot on her gums. Photos were taken, but I was told just keep an eye on it---"it's probably nothing " 4 weeks later. I took her to a real dentist and by that time it was too late - oral melanoma - options? No longer possible to melon ball it out- now only a gruesome partial jaw removal- not putting her through that. We said goodbye to our baby on May 5. This was so disappointing that the issue was handled in a casual manner, especially since it is common knowledge that golden retrievers have high instances of melanoma of the mouth. No recommendation to see a real board certified dentist was made. I do not recommend bringing your dog here. It is not the same team --- the wonderful Dr. Poulter is not there. Amazing Ashley is not there. The Docs featured on the site have left and I just get the feeling that VCA is cycling people in and out to meet demand. This used to be a great place...VCA West Animal Hospital is exceptional - I'd recommend them.

Earlier that day, he had already been seen by my regular veterinarian, where bloodwork was done. Since they couldn't determine the cause of his illness, they recommended I take him to an urgent care facility. The only reason they referred me was because they did not have the equipment to perform X-rays or an ultrasound. They had already done everything they could at their clinic and wanted my dog to receive the advanced imaging he needed. When I arrived around 12:00 PM, the receptionist told me the wait would be about two hours. I completely understood because it's an urgent care, and I appreciated that they took my dog into the treatment area. I assumed he would at least receive IV fluids to keep him hydrated while we waited, especially because I specifically told the receptionist he wasn't eating, was weak, and needed an IV. I was willing to pay for whatever treatment he needed. As the hours passed, I repeatedly asked for updates. Around 3:00 PM, then again at 5:00 PM, I was told my dog was doing fine and that I would be seen soon. Finally, at about 7:00 PM, we were taken into an exam room. The veterinarian came in and immediately asked what was wrong with my dog. I was surprised because it seemed she hadn't been briefed on why we were there. I had to explain everything from the beginning while feeling overwhelmed after waiting seven hours. When I asked if my dog had been receiving IV fluids during that time, I was shocked to learn that he had not received any IV treatment at all. That was extremely upsetting because I believed he was at least being kept hydrated while waiting. After briefly reviewing the bloodwork from my regular veterinarian, the doctor told me my dog "might have leukemia (CANCER)" before performing any imaging, such as X-rays or an ultrasound. Hearing that was heartbreaking. She then recommended additional testing, including more bloodwork, X-rays, an ultrasound, and other diagnostics, with an estimated cost of around $12,000 just to determine what was wrong. I understand that diagnostics are important and that emergency veterinary medicine is expensive. However, after the lack of communication, the seven-hour wait without IV fluids, and hearing such a serious possibility mentioned before additional testing was done, I no longer felt confident continuing care there. I decided to take my dog home. Over the next two days, I focused on keeping him hydrated, monitored him closely, gently massaged his abdomen, and followed supportive care at home. Thankfully, he eventually passed a large mango pit in his stool. Once it came out, he quickly improved and made a full recovery. He did not have cancer. What scares me the most is thinking about how many pet owners may feel pressured into making heartbreaking decisions because of an initial possible diagnosis or because they simply can't afford the recommended costs. I kept thinking that could have been me. If I had accepted that my dog might have cancer without seeking another opinion or waiting for additional answers, I might have made a decision I would have regretted forever. Thankfully, in my dog's case, that wasn't what was wrong. Looking back, I understand that an X-ray may have helped identify the obstruction, and that is exactly why my regular veterinarian referred me there--they did not have the equipment to perform those tests. However, my experience left me feeling that communication was poor, my concerns were not taken seriously, and my dog waited far too long without the supportive care I believed he would receive. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this facility based on how my dog and I were treated. I truly hope no other family has to go through what we experienced.

This is a review I didn't expect to be making and am very disappointed by my experience here today…read more First off, I just want to say, I've had really great experiences with the vet techs/staff. I've also had an okay experience with the vet. I'm not exactly sure what happened tonight, but just pure disorganization for sure. I first came here last Monday. My dog had some sort of large wound and raised bump on his paw. It wouldn't go away. My schedule is pretty inflexible so it's hard to find a vet that sees pets after normal business hours and doesn't charge an emergency fee. I stumbled upon HQPC on Yelp and it had great reviews. I called and was able to get a same day appointment. I spoke to Jay at that time and she was lovely. I came in at my appointment time, was seen right away and was helped by Angel and another vet tech or employee. I didn't get her name but she has tattoos. Both her and Angel were so kind and lovely. Dr. Amini was really helpful too! I left ready to leave a 5 star review, but just didn't have the time to. I came back today (Monday) as my pup wasn't really improving. I was happy to come back since I had such a great experience last week. I made a same day appointment at 7:45pm. I arrived 5 minutes late (oops), though that didn't even matter. I waited about 25 min in the waiting room. Once we got checked in, I waited another 25 minutes in the medical room. Dr. Amini came in for approximately 3 minutes, said he wanted to do a cytology and a vet tech will be in to help me. Great! Someone came in to help me sign the forms for the $500 bill. And then I waited and waited for another 25 minutes. Theres also some time unaccounted for so I honestly probably underestimated the time too. But I was here about 1.5 hours, if not more. Needless to say, I left. Michelle, who helped me out in the front to check out was very kind and understanding. She explained that Dr. Amini was running behind due to a surgery. I totally understand and please please triage and put more urgent pets before mine! But there was no communication of this at all. Just waiting and waiting. Dr. Amini was literally only in the room with us for 3 minutes. Michelle said she wouldn't charge me, which was nice. But I wasted almost 2 hours and nothing was done with my pup. I'm overall, just really disappointed with my experience.
