As a Realtor, I get asked a lot of questions. Some are the expected ones such as What's the market like? Is it a good time to buy or sell? How much can I afford? Often times I am asked things that I shouldn't have an answer to but, figure out as my clients know my network is large. Questions like "Can you help my friend in xyz country with a good immigration attorney? Can you help us get a refund on xyz from this store since you like to bargain and negotiate? Can you help me sell my boat? Recently, I had a difficult issue with a probate home where my client inherited 5 cats along with the home. All of them were adopted strays. We can't renovate the home or even go through things without disturbing the peace of the kitties. The kitties along with my client, lost their human parents causing them to stress out. I had to figure out a way to prepare the home whilst simultaneously making sure the cats were examined for health and received any updated shots before we can figure out how to house them while the house becomes overrun with workers. To add to this, one of the cats, Mimi, is very friendly until the carrier comes out. That's when this mild mannered bundle of love (coming from a dog person who is allergic to cats, that's saying a lot) becomes a raging ball of speed and muscle with a fearsome hiss that makes grown men tremble (at least this one). In comes Dr Marshall and Jenny. Two of the loveliest people I've encountered in this profession. It was like watching a reality show as they explained everything and how they were to accomplish their goals, they weren't deterred by the myriad obstacles we laid out before entering and in fact, earned Mimi's trust right up to the point where it became an intense standoff where we had to encircle the alarmed Mimi who sensed the impending Dr visit. They were able to not only catch the uncatchable but, maintained their composure through all of Mimi's machinations and conducted one of the most thorough medical exams I've ever seen on a housecall. I was jealous as I never get that kind of VIP treatment and my physician happens to be a close friend! They allayed our fears of serious issues, discovered other things we were unaware of, gave precise and detailed instructions on what to do moving forward and added more advice for the other cats too. I can't give enough kudos to these two and now I have an answer for all of my clients with furry relatives (the small cute kind not, the old human kind). The property was in OC and they are local to South Bay yet still drove when local vets wouldn't. Extra for that if I could. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I had originally given them five stars, but I was very wrong. As they came for visits things got worse and worse. Nurse Jenny would promise to send me links for important information for my Diabetic senior cat. She never did. The pharmacy informed them that they needed authorization for an insulin refill. Nurse Jenny never responded. I had to contact her for two days because I was very worried. She finally got back to me and said it was taken care of. It wasn't, the pharmacy told me she had just called it in a few minutes before. She told me it had been done a hours before. They went on vacation in April. They said my cat's glucose levels would be monitored and charged me. That would have been fine, if Dr. Marshall had actually done it. I got a response twice and it was vague, no guidance was given on my next steps with her. They knew how critical my cat was, her sugar levels were above 500 at times. Since April till this day they have never contacted me to see how my cat is doing or set up follow up appointments. They just abandoned us, and that hurts since they knew how much I love my cat and she has a chronic condition. I don't expect vets to be Endochrinologists and specialize in Diabetes, but he should at least tell me Diabetes is beyond his capabilities, so I could find someone to help me. Her sugar levels were unmonitored until I found a vet. that actually cared. read more

I had my first experience with Roam yesterday and I'm so ecstatic to have found them. I'm verbose and part of why I'm so satisfied with their service is the long back story to how I acquired a mini army of cats, so I'll post a TL;DR: if you're looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable mobile vet, Roam is the one! I inherited my parent's property and their most valuable treasure: 5 cats. Unfortunately, the oldest passed away at the beginning of the year. So I'm left with 4 cats that have endured the loss of both their parents, their sibling, and many other changes in the house. Mimi is the sweetest but when it comes time to take her to the vet, she becomes wild and slippery. I just can't get her in her carrier. Since the property is located in Orange County, right at the county border, there was pretty much no mobile vets in the service area. Everything Orange County only covered South OC and the LA ones stayed in LA County. Roam was the first vet who offered me the option of a travel fee. I am so happy that I found them! Dr. Marshall and Jenny were able to catch Mimi and give her a full exam. I was so impressed that they could do an ultrasound right from the comfort of her own home. Okay, maybe Mimi wasn't THAT comfortable but they were so gentle with her. They also were so compassionate. In dealing with so much loss over the past few years, I've dealt with a lot of sensitive situations that called for compassion. Believe me when I tell you that not everyone is kind when it comes to dealing with a chaotic situation involving a fixer upper and 4 cats. Dr. Marshall and Jenny were so friendly and kind. They not only spent a lot of time with Mimi but they also gave me advice on what to do with the other cats. I will be calling them again to see 2 of the others since they heard the commotion with Mimi and hid in the couch.
