Dr. Moore is wonderful!! She gave us so much peace of mind for our elderly chihuahua with mobility issues. She has many modalities she uses for pets that combine Western Veterinarian Medicine with alternative modalities such as acupuncture and laser therapy. She is super kind, compassionate and truly cares about her pets! I would highly recommend her home visits as she has a calm & kind demeanor with realistic goals and plenty of knowledge to share. If your dog is elderly or gets anxious going to the vet: fear not! Dr. Moore will bring peace to you & your furry friends! Thank you so much, Dr. Moore!! - Sarah, Steven & Baybay

Very fast and caring response. Was able to book an appointment within a week. A very great service. Dr. Kate truly cares about the animals and their owners. She makes not only our pets comfortable but us as well, as she speaks to you on a personal and professional level. My cat and I felt very well taken care of and will definitely continue using her services and recommending them!

They DO NOT ACCEPT NEW CLIENTS just an FYI to save people time. I know how hard it is to find a mobile vet :)

Dr. Kate is wonderful, has a great soft touch for my elderly dog, and helps out whenever possible. My dog will not see another vet.

The most sweet, understanding, competent, skilled vet I've ever known. And I've had dogs pretty much my entire life.

How much is a consulation?

Hi there! It depends on what kind of animal you have! It’s $150 for the house call, and $60 for a dog/cat exam, or $70 for a large animal or exotic pet exam.

Do you service clients in Orange? I have a Pomeranian who has a complete meltdown at the vet. Last time he was traumatized so badly his tail dragged on the ground for 2 days. Normally Pom tail is up on his back. I'm at a loss on how to help him. ty

Hi there! I do come to Orange! If you’re interested in setting up an appointment or would just like to discuss next steps, feel free to call or text me at 657-527-9779. Thank you for your interest!!!

Would you be able to do a consult for a cat who's very aggressive/fearful and is currently experiencing a health problem with what seems to be dermatitis?

Hi there! That is something I can potentially assist with! Due to your cats aggression, we may need to start with an initial telephone consult, and start on some medications prior to me coming by for an exam. Feel free to call/text at 657-527-9779…

He had localized cancer in one limb and we chose amputation and he lived happily for years with careful follow up within this clinic and was put down with compassion and love when his time came to cross the rainbow bridge. We were mailed a note from staff along with his cremation which we still have. I brought my now senior cat (17 years old) here and did not feel the same kindness and I'm very disappointed and miss the previous team. I was informed we're starting with blood work but his symptoms may indicate neurological up to and including a brain tumor. I do not disagree with this assessment or recommendations as I work in the medical field and brought him in for these concerns. With that said, there is a way to deliver this information with kindness (as I previously received by Dr Gambles practice for my other cat) that was not delivered today. I inquired prior to my appointment if it would have to be a drop off appointment and they said no, exams are with the pet parent present however my cat needed blood work. Feisty as he is, he would need sedation. This sedation I was told was only gas. I'm certainly aware this does not require hours of recovery but I understand the need for drop off. However, I was told they would call me when pickup is ready and I told the tech I need some time frame. I was informed it would be 6+ hours "because we have other clients". I could understand if the rational was sedation for a period of time, but to keep my cat, in distress for being at the vet, for 6+ hours for blood work due to other clients when I made an appt discussing my concerns before coming seems excessive. Upon my question for this concern my cat was just brought out to me. I appreciate this as I do not want my cat in care where his time isn't considered as my main concern is his comfort especially in his age and condition. Overall, I won't be returning. I'm very disappointed in the care that has changed at this clinic. This is not the care that would have ever been delivered with Dr Gamble. **follow up, my cat had an appt with a different clinic and got blood work twice with me present in the room. He was treated with compassion which led to him being compliant without sedation. Additionally, the vet heard a heart murmur that was not discussed at the conclusion of this previous vet assessment. This makes me question the thoroughness of the assessment and the need for sedation as I was not present when they stated they attempted blood work.

I brought my dog in for a routine anesthetic dental cleaning. During the procedure, I received a call saying they needed to extract four teeth and that the total would be $2,400. I've had anesthetic dental cleanings done for my dogs at multiple veterinary hospitals over the years, including procedures with extractions, and I have never paid anywhere near that amount. After my husband questioned the estimate, the cost suddenly dropped to around $1,000 for two extractions. That alone left us wondering how the original quote was determined. The pickup experience was even more disappointing. I was handed three pieces of paper with very little explanation and no medication. Every other veterinarian I've been to has sent my dog home with pain medication directly from the clinic. Instead, I was told I needed to call around to CVS and other pharmacies to find one that could fill the prescriptions. Meanwhile, my poor dog had just undergone oral surgery and was crying in pain. I had to take her home first, then immediately drive to CVS. Once there, the pharmacist spent over 30 minutes on the phone with the vet trying to clarify the prescriptions. Then came the most alarming part of the entire experience. One of the prescribed medications was rejected by the pharmacist because it contained xylitol, a sugar alcohol that is highly toxic to dogs and can be fatal if ingested. I was shocked that this prescription was written in the first place. Had the pharmacist not caught it, I could have unknowingly given my dog a medication containing an ingredient that poses a serious danger to dogs. That was the final straw. I have three dogs and recently moved to Long Beach, so I was hoping to find a veterinary clinic I could trust for years to come. Unfortunately, Pine Animal Hospital has lost what would have been a loyal customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and would encourage others to look elsewhere.

I was told we'd receive the results within a few days, but I never got a call and had to repeatedly follow up myself. When I finally spoke with the doctor nearly a month later, he seemed to think we had already discussed the results. I had to remind him that we had only talked about the initial findings and that the entire reason I paid for the additional review was because he recommended it. I also requested my cat's medical records and was told they would be emailed to me, but they never were. The staff were always friendly and professional, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. My concern was never the friendliness of the team, but the lack of communication and follow-through. Had the findings been more serious, the delay in follow-up could have had much greater consequences. At the end of the day, I'd rather have prompt communication than have to repeatedly chase down results while worried about my pet's health. Time for a new vet.

I already had some hesitations about returning to this vet after my initial first exam with my kitten. It seemed like the doctor kept trying to up charge me. I adopted my kitten and knowing he had all of his vaccines except for one and was hoping to get this single treatment done here. Two appointments and hundreds of dollars later and he still hadn't even received the shot I brought him in for. After this final appointment with them, I was still rejected by the vet when I asked to get the initial shot I came in for, and told the nurse during checkout I would be going elsewhere. She relayed this to the vet, they came back out and told me they could get the shot if I really wanted to get it done this appointment. They just wanted me to return for another appointment down the line to spend even more money. I went to another vet (Thank you Long Becah Animal Hospital ) after this and they told me that I should not have wasted my time at the this hospital, my kitten could've gotten his shot his very first appointment. Upon my second appointment when I got to the facility, there was a woman and her dog in the lobby. The woman was in clearly in pain or mentally unstable and her dog was not being restrained and was out of control. When I opened to door, I was ushered into a room to be locked in by staff. I was in the room alone for over 30 minutes until I saw a nurse who came in for my kittens exam. They didn't come in to check in on us or let me know what was going on with the situation in the lobby. Throughout the wait, I could hear the dog owner very clearly frustrated with the staff, and not being properly helped. Meanwhile the dog kept barking and was apparently lunging at staff and passing patients (I was told this by the nurse after my appointment ). There are two doors in every exam room. One that leads to the lobby and one that leads to the employees area. I could hear the doctors and nurses gossiping behind the door that lead to the back employee hallway. The office seemed very aware of the unsafe situation going on, but felt no need to come in and let me know that everything was safe and okay. Afterwards, I came out to the lobby and found out they didn't really handle the situation. They pushed the woman and her dog just outside there door. Every patient coming in or out of the office had to pass her and the poor confused dog. I don't blame the woman who was looking for treatment for her animal, I am upset with the professionals who did not handle the situation with grace.
