They quickly took down the pertinent information as to which service I needed (towing) and gave me a reasonable quote. The conversation was very pleasant and at the end I was given a time frame of a 2 hr window for expected time of arrival. When the 2 hr time frame was approaching they called me to let me know the truck maybe 10 mins later than anticipated. Courteous and professional!! Most companies providing services (towing/roadside assistance) of this nature often make you feel as if you need them more than they need you; however, true as it maybe as often the scenario is a stranded motorist needing a tow, but this company did not make me feel that way. Imagine 9:40 pm you just got on I-75 highway, you hear a pop, tire blows and you quickly move over…read moreto the right shoulder lane. In Sarasota, about 2.5 miles from the entrance ramp and in the middle of pitch black sky on a Friday night. Yep, that's what happened to us. We have AAA, Progressive Insurance Roadside Assistance, plus are staring at the Road Ranger FHP sign. Call all 3 for assistance. AAA says someone will be out in 1.5 hours. I explained that we were on the shoulder and not in a safe location. 10:25 pm they say, someone will be out here. 4 phone calls later, our ticket never is identified as a safety issues and is bummed to a 4:44 AM Saturday expected time of arrival. We don't have enough gas to stay on the road all night. Progressive identifies our location as in Bushnell Florida, which is over 110 miles from us. When I call to correct their information, they reassure me that it has been corrected and the ticket is being assigned to someone. 20 minutes later, now looking at 11:40pm, a tow truck from Bushnell contacts me and says they are nearby. When I clarify that we are in Sarasota, they ask that we cancel our roadside assistance ticket! REally?!?! FHP informs us at 10:40pm that Road Rangers are closed at this hour and they will send an FHP trooper to assist. NONE ever shows up. No trooper, no roadside assistance from three different programs! What is going on? In fact, none of the roadside agents even bother to call us back. THREE hours on the side shoulder, traffic zooming by so fast that our car shakes from the wind velocity. We have a spare, but the two of the nuts on the tire are stripped. We need help. Here comes Brian from Florida Tow, pulls over, with his tow truck, light flashing. Asks us not to get out for the highway is too busy and says he will change the tire for us. Takes out all the necessary equipment and even shows my husband the stripped nuts, so our mechanic can replace. This man worked quietly and professionally without asking for any information from us. He truly was an angel to us and we will always remember his kindness. We were so worried, and unsure of what he was doing. We asked him. His answer was "I cannot leave you on the side of the road like this". He asked for nothing in return. NOTHING, and gave me his first name and cell phone, so I could send him my AAA information. Really amazing. Restores your faith in mankind and not once did we feel anything but gratitude for Brian. GREAT PROFESSIONAL and COMPANY. We certainly need more Brian's in our lives and in this area!
