This company is a joke. They took my trash can over a "missed payment" without so much as a voicemail. They claim they tried calling and emailing me, but all I ever got was one email that I hadn't even seen yet. When I questioned it, instead of trying to resolve the issue, they accused me of lying. That's how they treat paying customers. After checking their reviews, I realized this isn't just me -- it's a pattern. Rude, unprofessional, and quick to take your money while providing the bare minimum of service. If you want constant headaches and to be treated with zero respect, this is the company for you. I tried to call to get it figured out and no one would pick up the phone or return messages. When someone did finally pick up the guy was a extremely rude and threatening! He was yelling and told me it was my fault they didn't pick it up, that it was my problem and not theirs. He said if I didn't like it I could come down there and deal with it... We had our garbage can out Sunday night and it was never picked up Monday. We called Tuesday to have them come out to get it and no one came. I just called this morning and a guy that said his name was "Tom" was very rude and told me it was the first he heard of it and told me if we don't have the can out by 6:00 am there will be a $10 charge. I tried to tell him that it was out the night before but he kept cutting me off and said maybe I need another trash service and hung up on me! I called back and he answered and again told me to not call again and that I would be getting another trash service! I was really nice the whole time (my husband was standing right here) and it went 0-60 in 30 seconds. We WILL be getting a new trash service but also to make sure you knew what this guy was like to a new customer. Giving this company a 1 star is a stretch. We have been using Roadrunner for several years now. The service has been ok, but you never know if your trash will be picked up or not. Our pickup day in Pine is supposedly Wednesday mornings. Our trash was not picked up last week, and the can is sitting by the road full to overflowing. I called 3 times yesterday, and I talked to a very rude man who assured me the pickup would happen. Here it is, Christmas Eve morning, and still no pick up. I left another message this morning, and hours later tried to call again. This time the mailbox was full. It appears as if we will go into the 3rd week before ourselves trash is collected. I have automatic payment set up through our bank. Roadrunner gets paid every month for trash pickups that are not happening. This company lacks both physical service and customer service. Pay a little more and contract with a reputable company. I am beyond angry. read more

Worst customer service ever! Our trash is supposed to be picked up on Thursdays and it was not. I called to find out why and I was told they would pick it up later that day, or first thing Friday morning, and it was not. I called again Friday, left a voicemail and never received a return call. Come Monday morning, our trash still had not been picked up so we called again and was told they would be by to pick it up within the next hour. Come the afternoon it still had not been picked up, so I went into their office to ask why, and was told they would text the driver and it would be picked up first thing in the morning (being Tuesday morning). I then said "no, that is what you have been telling me already" the extremely rude guy who was sitting next to the receptionist stood up and told me to "get the f*ck out". I've been a customer of this company for a couple years now, I've really tried to give them a chance, but it looks like it's time to move on. They usually come on Wednesday, however Wednesday is Christmas Day this year. The weather report also says it's going to start snowing Christmas Eve. Knowing this, I called road runner to see if they had made any arrangements to come get the garbage early considering it was Christmas on normal garbage day, and knowing of the report of snow. I was told on the phone, that they would not be coming on normal pick up day because of Christmas, and would only be coming later in the week on Thursday or Friday, "if the weather permits." It's frustrating to have to go out of my way and be proactive to contact them about the holiday, they should be reaching out to their clientele and explaining what they plan on doing. It's even more frustrating after calling them, being told they don't plan to pick up the garbage by half a week later. This is something they easily could have made arrangements to take care of early, knowing what was coming. This is especially crucial, because people have lots of extra trash around Christmas. This is just one more thing out of a long list of issues. This company is completely incompetent and despite trying to be patient,They continue to operate extremely poorly. read more

As a new customer with about 6 months of experience with Roadrunner, we are off to a rocky start. They have occasionally missed pick-ups causing trash to pile up and it's quite hard to reach anyone on the phone or get a callback. We will stick with it to see if things improve but suspect we will need to move to a different service if they don't. read more

I have had Roadrunner Rubbish Removal for 5 years now. I put out my can on Sundays and they pick it up every Monday morning as is for my entire street. I have no issues with billing. I have used Roadrunner since moving to Payson from Utah. I have been very satisfied with their service. My can had a hole in the lid a the hinge. After a heavy rain I went out to move the can to the street for pickup, I could not even budge it because it was full of rain water. so I missed pickup that day. I called the next day and told them of the problem. Just two hours later they brought me a new can and hauled away the heavy one full of trash and water, I have found them very easy to deal with. I have been with roadrunner for the past 4 years and they were really good and these past couple of months have been really terrible. Chris the owner, has been doing trash pick ups and has not been picking our trash up. We have a 2 yard dumpster in our yard and it is gated, rather then stopping he keeps driving. I had Roadrunner for about 3 years. They did a good job up till November. Then they missed picking up my trash 3 out of 5 weeks!! I tried calling many times and got a recording and left many messages with no response!! Went and talked with a gal in the office and she told me that my trash was going to be picked up. It took 2 weeks!! Then I emailed still no response!! I took my trash can and left it in front of the office door on December 31st. I called later that day and talked with the owner Chris he was very rude and had no answer for not picking up my trash!! So I told him that I was canceling my service he told me fine and if I ever came back to roadrunner that he would charge me double. I asked him if he would stop my auto payment and he told me to call the office next year and talk to the gal in the office. I have tried twice now to get hold of someone in the office without any response and stopping by auto payment my next step is to go to the bank and put a stop payment. My 75 yr old grandmother who has been with them for 20 years has been without a trash can for 2 months and has been forced to store trash in her home. Until the day of pickup. The company has been contacted numerous times. They stated they would deliver a new one but have not. We went down to thier business and asked for a can we could deliver and stated they would deliver one that day. They did not. We went down again and was told no one was there. We called and they answered and were very rude. Thier response. .we will just cancel the service for you. So, now they are losing all of our household trash removal services from 3 properties in Payson because of thier rudeness. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. Look elsewhere. We had difficulty when we were trying to establish new service. After three weeks plus following our order for new service...there was just waiting, calling, waiting, calling...no can ever delivered and not one call given to share an update. Each time I called I was given excuses, told I'd be first on the list for delivery on 'x' day...no can, no call, no updates. Would call again only to be told, 'I don't know the driver hasn't given me an update'? It seems the office should have better oversight, organization...it was truly a mess. If it starts this way...I was sure it would only get worse and sadly have to agree with the numerous reviews on Google, Yelp and the BBB, indicating I wouldn't be wrong....so just cancelled the request for service. read more

This is by far been the best service I've had in Payson. No fees, no added expenses. They charge what they tell you. My neighbors have some of the competitors and complain to me about how much they are raising their prices. This is a family owned business and well run in my opinion. So now I have to physically move the trash from the full can by hand into another can they left that is the correct color. I am surprised by the reviews I read on here. I have had this service in Payson, AZ for over a year and never had a problem with them. The driver that picks up our trash is always accommodating with helping to dispose of large boxes or extra trash. We are set up on auto pay so there has never been an issue with payments. We decided to go with RoadRunner due to our neighbors complaints and charges of the other services here. Will come back at a later date and if all stays the same will update my review to 5 stars! read more

We used Roadrunner for four months, despite reading questionable reviews (on other sites; I noticed this is the first Yelp review). Right off the bat, my credit card got charged twice. My service was to be billed every other month. When I called to question it, she asked if we could just leave it and they would skip the second month's billing. I agreed, and that worked as planned. I decided to play it safe and switch to Waste Matters. When I called to cancel, I left a voicemail. Got no call back, and eventually noticed that they had removed the can -- from the side of my house (it's a bit of a walk from the driveway). My experience pretty much echos what others have said. I wouldn't recommend them, but wouldn't tell people to stay away from them, either. read more

We contracted with them for three large roll-offs. they promptly removed two of them after we filled them, but they left the third on our lot for a year while they tried to charge us TEN TIMES what we had contracted for. A judge ordered them to meet us at our lot to have us let them into our gated community and tow out the bin. They showed up a day early, used a Forest Service key to trespass onto our community, and just dumped the entire bin of construction refuse on our lot and left! The judge had told them to not dump it. We had to use another service (Waste Management....highly recommend!) to come out to refill their dumpster and haul it off. This company is a sham; they lie, hide when we call, lied to a judge numerous times, and we've seen them break the law many times. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! read more

The only reason I didn't go down to their office and throw an absolute fit is because I would have gotten the cops called on me. Don't even waste your time. Every week they break my trash can, I don't understand why? I have never spoken to the driver, they get here between 6:30 & 7:30 am every Tuesday regardless of a holiday or not. I have never even seen the driver, I have no idea why he's so pissed off at my trash can. It's not heavy, only 2 people use our can, it's only 3/4 full. The driver always smashes it to the ground. Roadrunner was out yesterday to replace the wheels, And this morning was trash day and again he smashed it to the ground breaking off the lid. Also since I have called in so many times to get my can fixed, now the driver also sit in front of my house and revs the Semi Truck Engine for about 5 minutes while the load compresses the trash. (At 7am in the morning) Thank you for the noise too. I would be very upset if I owned Roadrunner and i had to fix all those cans. Thank goodness as a customer I don't pay for replacement cans. I lived in Mesa for 20 years we had 3 cans there,(black trash, Blue Recycle, Green for grass, tree trimmings) THREE cans a week x 20 years, NEVER ONCE A BROKEN CAN. P.S. This is a terrible company. The pick-up is okay but they have broken trash cans and they will not replace them. After using them for a number of years with no problems, now they will not respond to requests to replace broken trash cans. I have contacted them several times in the past three months to no avail. I finally canceled my service the 1st of November and they have still not picked up the old beat up trash can. They should not be allowed to conduct business in this town. read more

This is a company that I would highly caution using for your trash service in the Payson, AZ area. From the first day that we used their service we continually had to call to have them come back and grab the forgotten trash can. Between calling with no answer and leaving numerous vm's, to calling and ending up in an argument with person answering the phone...the stress of simple trash service is not worth the continued hassle. After many months of this same service, rather no service, we decided to change to another local company (Waste Matters) and couldn't be happier. I was sorry to hear some reviewers had disappointing service. We have experienced just the opposite, and have been completely satisfied with Roadrunners' service. They were our first contact regarding this service when we moved here 22 years ago. We've never been disappointed. During times of yard cleanup which generates more than the usual amount of trash and we've had to fill black plastic bags in addition to the can, they have graciously taken the extra rubbish at no additional charge. Our neighbors are in the process of relocating to another state and had the company bring in a dumpster. In spite of all that room, they filled between 20 and 30 additional bags. When the pickup occurred this past Monday, Roadrunner took the extra time to load up everything although they hadn't even been notified ahead of time. The neighbors' sons-in-law assisted in the loading so the driver didn't have to exit the truck. I don't know of any other company who would take the time to do this. The fact that Roadrunners even picks up on holidays, with the exception of Christmas' is an added bonus. We would certainly recommend this company as based on the experience we've had. The only suggestion we would make is that they institute automatic pay through one's bank. read more

BEWARE! The worst company you can imagine. I contracted Roadrunner to deliver large dumpsters to my land to fill and remove. I had a signed contract showing the terms and cost. The driver delivered the dumpsters and placed them on the lot, stating to fill them up but don't go over. He removed 2 of the dumpsters and the 3rd STILL remains since August. The owner is a very angry person and uses profanity and yells. The contract states the final 180.00 would be paid when the last dumpster was removed. They are claiming I owe 1000.00 more than the contract states. They say the dumpster is too heavy, even though they have picked up the first two which were identical, and have NEVER tried to remove the last one. They have lied MULTIPLE times. Each time we spoke they LIED. They have the girl who answers the phone says she doesn't know anyone by that name who works there, and won't allow you to talk to whom you ask to speak with. I have had to file a suit in court to get this dumpster off my lot. This service should have been a VERY easy transaction, but instead this company has made it a huge hassle. There was NO REASON for this company to be like this other than they are trying to get more money by bullying and stalling on picking up the last dumpster, in spite of the contract. I have called this company over 20 times only to leave vm's that don't get returned, or a VERY angry person yelling and threatening and trying to argue. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! The BBB rating is an "F". I wish I would have checked the BBB rating first. read more
