This place is pretty legit. They boast a decent menu with good staff. Overall, this restaurant is a nice addition to Manhattan. I have been here twice for dinner and once for lunch thus far. The two dinner experiences were completely different; the first time was with their very limited grand opening menu and the 2nd time was months later with a more robust menu. Both times boasted fantastic food. The wait time was a little slow, but it was a packed house (especially in the bar area). Me and my family's main gripe with this place was the lack of food before the main meal. A nice addition would be soup, salad, or some of those delicious Kirby's Bakery rolls before your meal (especially when the place is packed/wait for food is longer). My girlfriend and I also visited for lunch, which was a pleasant experience. We were the only people there, and the prices and food were both amazing! Most items were $4.99-$6.99, which included a side (and included soup for me too!) I have yet to try breakfast, but I am sure I will soon. Ultimately, this hole-in-the-wall joint on Route 52 is worth a stop.

Roadhouse 52 is excellent! I've gone several times, and I'm always satisfied with the food, drinks, and service. The menu has a nice variety of options. The barbecue is very good. The beer list is incredible. On my first visit, I was astonished at the number and variety of craft brews. If you've driven by Roadhouse 52 before and thought it doesn't look like much from the outside, stop! The interior is cute, and it's an excellent place. Give it a try.

What a fun place! We surprised my husband's aunt, uncle, and cousins and stopped by. Roadhouse is located in a small Illinois town and is tucked away on a side road surrounded by trees. The joint looks like roadhouses you've probably seen in the movies. They serve food, which I didn't eat, and alcohol, which I did partake. We joined the family on the patio to listen to the band River Road Trio. They were very good! There was a nice breeze and you could see endless stars in the sky. I love country and country rock music. (among many other music genres). The band played all of my requests. Peaceful, Easy Feeling by the Eagles (love this song a lot), Jackson and Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash, Thank God I'm a Country Boy by John Denver (RIP!), Keep your hands to yourself by Georgia Satellites, etc. The bartender kept my wine glass full (gotta love that) and I two-stepped with my uncle and husband. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. The service was very good. The drink prices were even better. Even though they offer over 100 varieties of craft beer, the wine list was so-so. However, I didn't care. I was drinking and dancing the night away with family. There's no place I'd rather be.

Texas bbq brisket. Goooood! Mac n cheese w/cheddar cracker crust Local bakery dinner rolls from Kirby's Corner Bakery (goooood)

The name Maxey as well as their slogan; cold drinks, good laughs and great times is synonymous with the couple's ability to be both hospitable and entertaining. After speaking with them, I learned that they have enjoyed hosting parties at their house for years. They have also generously fed family and friends during the holiday seasons. Whether or not you showed up, was your choice but all were invited. The music was always upbeat, drinks stayed cold, everyone laughed and every belly was fed. The only thing this couple would run out of was room. Very happy to see the opening of Maxey's Sports Lounge. What a beautiful establishment; every detail meticulously planned, from floor to ceiling with state of the art fixtures throughout. Drinks are excellent; great variety of house and premium liquors. There is a nice offering of fried foods to choose from; catfish filets, whole wings, fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and mushrooms. I had the wings; crispy outside with a seasoned crust which comes with fries and was really good. I am truly grateful for the Maxey's allowing me the opportunity to come in and spend some time with them before their grand opening. I am sure the couple anticipates booking a lot of different sporting events, parties and comedy shows that will fill up their space. Whatever you are celebrating, whatever the occasion, come on in. This is the place to be. Trust me, your experience is going to be memorable.

A lot of great cocktails to choose among. There's also some things to eat but it's usually just things that are greasy. Basically this bar has a more mature crowd. It's great if not wanting to run into those who are about to pop a cap in the ass of someone. There's also limited hours so it's harder to get in whenever. A place that really limits when to go. This makes it harder to communicate with employees about events or other things. It's about $10 for a basic cocktail. The food is pretty basic, just things from the fryer to be honest. It's about $7 for an appetizer. They have the basics like onion rings. For sure there's a lot of events. It's located on 183rd Street at Kedzie. They're closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
