Initially I gave them a low rating because of the way they were releasing weekly drivers scheduling only on Fridays between 3-5pm. Although they are still doing that - you have to log in between those hours in order to schedule driving times for your student and you can only book 2 at a time - I have finally gotten the hang of it and they are now offering more driving slots so that my daughter is finally getting her driving lessons. Also, my daughter feels like she is getting good instruction and tips from the instructors she has driven with so far.

The instructors were fantastic and shared feedback after each drive. My second son did the online curriculum and the 6 drives with coach's. Very smooth experience and scheduling the drives was a breeze the second time. Once again the instructors were great and gave useful feedback. We will definitely use them for our last two in a couple years!

I've often tried to sift through all our years and determine what they most learned/received at Orchard and if I had to pick one attribute (and there are many), I'd pick confidence. They are all confident public speakers. For example, when my daughter was a junior in high school, she won an award that required her to speak at a dinner with over 400 people present. I tried several times to get her to practice and review her speech in advance, knowing that the previous recipient had a professional speech writer. In frustration, one evening she said, "Mom, I went to Orchard. Don't worry." She delivered a flawless speech without notes. They are all confident about their ability to learn. Orchard likes to say they help create lifelong learners and they do. Each of our children knows how to learn and they like to learn. They are all confident expressing themselves to anyone. In high school, their teachers observed that unlike many shy teens they were not afraid to ask questions and advocate for themselves or for others. And, this has continued throughout their college and post-graduate years. Orchard invites and teaches children how to respectfully approach adults. At Orchard, education is not just about science, English, history, etc. While these are important, it's also about helping develop good people and preparing them for the future.

I'm thankful that the available class times worked with my family's schedule. You had to call and schedule drive times and the driving test, sometimes they didn't answer the first time I tried, but eventually I would get through to someone. They were always friendly when I talked with them on the phone. I feel that this service was very useful for my boys, and the location was convenient for our family. My boys say they offer snacks to buy during class times and that the class is not bad. The earliest age to participate in a driver's education course in Indiana is 15 years old. I've had to enter the establishment several times, and it appeared small, clean, just enough space for the service they offer. I really appreciated this business!

Now, our son has completed in-person classroom learning, and it was fine. But, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to book his driving instruction hours. They post random availability on the 1st of the month, and then again on the 5th. There has never been availability that works with my son's school schedule. So, be prepared to pre-pay for drives that you can not book. This is insane! There always seems to be midday availability, but he is IN SCHOOL. Aren't the majority of drivers ed students in school? I am very disappointed in this experience. He only has so long to complete all of this, yet they make it impossible. Beware before you pay for classes & driving that you can not book. We thought we were paying people to actually teach our kid how to drive. Nope. They are only grading your child's driving and telling you to take them out more. What a waste of money. Could you imagine sending your kid to the classroom portion and them coming back every day with a test grade based upon what the parent taught them? Insanity, right? Calling them is a 50/50 chance that you'll never get through or the person doesn't want to work and just sends you to their website Their name is essentially false advertisement.
