The gas station has all the regular items like coffe, soda, food, chips, etc etc with a wall of wine. Next to the wall of wine was the amazing East Troy Soda Stop which made me do a double take and walk up to it and check it out. The wall was very impressive with the variety of craft sodas and I rarely drink soda but I'm leaving one. I left with a Point Brewery soda made with real sugar, I didn't even know Point made soda. There is so many cool varieties and I will post a few pictures to give you an idea. Yah it's a gas station and I never would have left a review but I thought the soda stop very cool and something you don't see, I can't remember seeing so many craft sodas in one place so I thought I would let the world know about it.

Not knowing the area, I needed to go into store for information. Carrie took one look at me and my state of panic. She came around the counter, gave me the address and a hug. Called the police for me and directed me to sit in the chair while I waited. She also introduced me to 2 gentlemen from Rhode's Towing who just happened to have stopped in for a drink. I went in to complain and the person behind the counter said he could do nothing but the owner would be in later. I left my name and number, no call back. Any responsible business owner would like to try and make his customers happy, not this one. I will be sure to tell everyone i know what an awful place to do business. (They have that too) but these meals looked great and I'm thinking we may stop and buy a few before we head back to Chicago. I thought we had an account here but when we entered my phone number it didn't come up so the attendant explained that it is probably the stores that start with a q. He gave me the application and entered my phone number to get points for this first purchase. He was very nice and helpful. I wish we had these near where we live in Chicago. Milk and bread are usually a bargain as well. Kwik Trip was early in the store brand game, so you'll find a lot of quality snack foods with their own names on them for less than the big brands. Washrooms are always spotless. The company is an amazing growth story, when I first started visiting them in Lacrosse, WI, they had three stores. Now 800+ in WI, IL, IA, and MN.

If you're a true Cheesehead, you call this a TYME machine.) This store is remarkably large with a larger selection of hot foods and groceries than most KTs. There is a huge, walk-in beer cooler and a selection of wines near the TYME...er...ATM machines. Almost all KT stores are laid out with a similar floor plan, there are a few different floor plans depending on the footprint of the store and when it was built. Some are mirror images of one another, which I refer to as left hand stores and right hand stores, depending on which way you turn to approach the cash registers. When you go into the store, you'll get that feeling of Deja vu, which is exactly what the owners want you to feel. This store is newer so it uses the newer floor plan and it's left handed. Karuba Coffee, Dunkers, doughnuts, and hot foods are straight back. Rest rooms are on the far end, take a right at the cooler. Lottery forms are back there, too, for processing at the registers. The no-fee ATMs are to your right as you enter the store. Outside? You'll find Unleaded regular and premium, Unleaded 88, E-85, and winterized diesel #2 and a 24 hour car wash.

Always hated going to the bigger grocery stores after work to pick up a few things that I knew would require me canvassing every corner of the store. I do feel bad about the other locally based gas stations just being blind-sided (Kwik Trip wasn't in our area even 4 years ago), but then pushing Hunt Brothers frozen pizza or an over priced crappy carwash with fun lighting isn't cool either.....With Kwik Trip, (as a grocery store), I could easily pick up all of my wanted basic groceries and even great steaks and produce within minutes and little effort. I've always been SUPER happy with the meat especially, and have gotten a few of my friends turned on to going to pick up the steaks, meat, produce regularly as well for the value, price, ease. However, tonight, I'd picked up what I thought a typical package of sirloin steak, (like I've now been doing since the place opened, and they were ALWAYS outstanding), but upon getting home, I discovered under the label, it was actually 3 small strips of "steak" (trimmings) which in themselves, required handtrimming to remove the excess fat and grizzly stuff. After being a HUGE fan of their burgers in the beginning, I stopped buying once they turned into "angus chips smothered in bun", bought the pizza, until all they served the "chicken carbanaro", bought the cheesy stuffed breadsticks until they raised the price and made them smaller, less cheese. Kwik Trip: People aren't stupid and won't be loyal to bait and switch and continue to buy your goods. There's an Aldiz nearby this location, can go there, and just a few miles further away for ethanol free gas that's less expensive than your premium grade.

Milo's Tacos serves fresh, homemade tacos, tortas, burritos, huaraches, and smaller breakfast burritos along with nachos, chips, chips, homemade salsa, guacamole, etc. I have had the huevos con chorizo burrito for breakfast a number of times and today tried the steak burrito for lunch. The breakfast burrito is terrific, as is the gargantuan steak burrito. One might think it is a bit pricey for a gas station with tacos for $3.99 apiece burritos for $12 breakfast burritos for $6.99, with a quality is superior to most Mexican restaurants in the Lake Geneva/Delavan area, and I have tried most of them. I cannot wait to get through more of the menu on future visits.
