When they say know what you want and don't go on a Saturday if you can avoid it they are not kidding. We went on a Saturday one time because we needed something last minute and we had to wait in a line that was quite literally the length of the store. But the bright side is that they have everything in stock and their check out lines were quick and efficient. With the wait of the line for check out we had one person wait while the other got a snack, and it took just as long for that that by the time I got through the check out line I was waiting for my husband with food. I will stay the staff is incredibly friendly and I feel comfortable asking for where things are since things are always moving without feeling like I'm ruining someone's mojo. All in all a great Costco! Just super long lines but they handle it like champs! read more

Love this location. For the most part all is good here. Great products and prices. Does take a few trips to get the floor plan down but items don't shift too much from week to week. The only minor issue I had last week was a white stockeeper trying to make sure no one would hit on his asian girlfriend while she was passing samples. Made it hard to get help. This place turned into a freaking joke. We bought tires here and had a 10:00 appointment to get the tires rotated. We arrived at 9:50 to check in a bit early for our appointment, and because we didn't have the more expensive membership, they wouldn't even let us in the door until 10:00. The two women at the door checking cards were nasty and so was the old lady at the service desk. We weren't trying to break their rules by coming in to shop early. We had a set appointment for a tire rotation. God help us we showed up a little early for the appointment. This isn't the dmv. You don't have to treat and talk to the customers like crap. You can just tell us sorry, you don't have the upgraded card, you can't enter yet, instead of talking nasty, trying to downgrade you because you don't have the more expensive membership. Costco has changed their roasted chickens. For the second time the chicken tasted slightly off and the texture of the meat was not good. The meat was spongy, not firm as was in the past. I could tell the difference as soon as I started carving it. We ended up throwing out the meat. I don't know if I am willing to try one more time. Sad thing is their chicken was a great meal. I have been watching this table on its website for months but their customer service was rated poorly. Think twice before you purchase from their kiosks!!!! This is flooring purchased through Costco and installed by Stu's Flooring in Greenfield. The flooring was installed in August of 2020 as the owners prepared the home for sale. I purchased on July 1, 2021. Neither will stand behind the product or installation. Stu's said the 30 year warranty lifetime installation doesn't transfer. Costco refuses to speak with me because I'm not on the original order. Funny I have warranties on the furnace, windows and composite deck but neither of these businesses will stand behind this shotty work. Beware!!! read more

Our go to Costco. We go nearly weekly and although it can be quite busy some days, the aisles are large and samples are plentiful. It's one of our favorite places to go. The food court has cheap food and most days they have samples. Toddler hack - your little one can have a full lunch solely off the samples and bonus - they get to try all sorts of new foods like salmon, meatballs, seaweed salad etc. Don't forget to fill up on gas and grab a chicken on your way out. This location recently added sushi as well. Their cakes are also excellent. read more

I love the price of gas there vs in Illinois! We love their prepared meals that you just bake in the oven. Convenient location, they have a pharmacy as well. Great freezer section with - large selection of items. They also have an electronic section, walk-in cooler section, pet food, packaged food, dog food, detergents, vitamins, clothing, and much more, including self check-out lanes. The lines can be quite long on the weekend so plan appropriately. We had our vet call in a prescription for our dog's Apoquel at the pharmacy and they are able to fill/refill. And I almost forgot to mention that they have food samples during the weekend - which is great - in case you like to try before you buy. The only thing I don't like about Costco is that they move their stock around so you might not find what you're looking for where you first found it. read more

Date of visit: November 30, 2024 I have popped into this store a few times over the years, given that we have a friend that lives in northern IL as well as the proximity to the Pleasant Prairie outlet mall, but realized that I haven't ever Yelped this location. First up, gas. This store always has one of the best gas prices in the area, but because of how close the store is to Illinois, the station is. Always. Busy. Know that you will spend a good five to 10 minutes in line before you can fill up and that, not unlike any other Costco, folks will struggle to understand that you can fill up at any pump and that you should pull up when the first pump becomes available. Sure wish the attendants would be more proactive with moving the line along and prevent so many customers from sitting in their cars, burning gas while waiting to...get more gas. The store layout isn't really all that different from those that you would find in Southeastern Wisconsin, so if this isn't your usual place, it shouldn't be too hard to get what you need or find where it is located in this particular store. read more

Other than being laid out a little differently than my home store, this Costco offers the same exact items, and a couple ones not available, at mine. I love the quality and quantity of products available, from clothing and kitchen wares to books and fresh and frozen food. I love this Costco! The fact that after years of being a customer, I still see the same friendly employees - which tells me they value their employees. Longevity speaks. This location is always clean and bright. Well organized - especially the clothing area. No matter if if is dead or crazy busy with lines down the aisles, when it is your turn to check out, the cashiers and assistants are always so friendly and helpful. Nice Costco! It's a bit smaller than your typical location, but also newer being only 5 years old. It's also located just a couple miles off of I-94, so pretty convenient if you're up thisaway. It kinda pops up atypically in the middle of a mostly residential looking area, at least coming off of I-94, so don't be surprised! The place naturally has friendly WI folk for staff and also a friendly relaxed vibe at least on this weekday afternoon. Sales tax is only 5.5%, so that's a pretty healthy savings for an Illinoisan anyway. Gas is also significantly cheaper - today it was $3.489/gal for regular and that's currently 88 cents/gal cheaper than any Costco in Cook County IL. You can also pick up some economically priced New Glarus Spotted Cow ale while here, and if you're a fan, you'll know that it's only sold in WI. I actually came up to buy a 27" iMac that was on a timely sale for us, but being a sloppy shopper had a last second change of mind when I realized it had an older generation chip. It was still a worthwhile trip and actually not that far for us, and I was glad to have dropped in here. read more

In comparison to my neighborhood Costco, there are some advantages in coming here, whilst in Wisconsin. First, it's less crowded and the folks seem less grumpy - which I really like. The Cheaper gas is nice too, not as many taxes, I suppose. And I always try to find the local products when I'm in an out of state Costco, they usually have a few. And guess what - at this WI Costco, they have New Glarus beer!! What a treat, along with having Omegas, hard to believe, I know. I'm sure they have kringles too, if I recall correctly. So if you're going to Milwaukee, Racine, Pleasant Prairie Mall, Tenuta's, etc. - this is such a convenient and great location, you should stop by and load gas, at the very least. read more

Love my Costco. With only two left in the house we don't save like before but still worth being a member. The Kirkland brand for private labeling is very good quality especially in comparison to other private label brands in the stores. With gas prices today that's an extra special deal I never have to make a comparison with anybody else cause they're always the cheapest in the area. The reason they don't get five stars is because you get used to buying a staple like cream cheese for Philadelphia brand and then they discontinue it because they can't get the right price for it. read more

I enjoy Costco! The gas pumps alone are worth the membership! I made up my membership in 4 months with what I saved at the pumps! I like the quality of the products offered. There's food, of course. But Carhartt jackets? HP printers and laptops? Yep, cheaper than most places. Costco has rotisserie chickens presently priced at $4.99. No sense in buying one for $6.99 someplace else. And if you call the snack bar, you can order a yummy Costco pizza and have it ready for pickup at the low price of $9.95. Or stay and eat a hot dog and have a soft drink, $1.50. Sadly, Costco sells Pepsi products in their snack bar, so no Coke. But a $1.50 for a hot dog meal??? The wide array of produce, meat cuts, and bakery items. Honestly, there are places that are cheaper, but not at that high quality. Did I mention there's a floral department, a pharmacy, an eye doctor and glasses? There is! It's just a pleasant place to stroll, particularly on a rainy or snowy day. It's well lit, especially for a warehouse. And the employees are darn nice. read more

As a Costco member I try to be alert for Costco locations to fill up my gas tank when traveling. Their prices are usually the lowest in the area or at least they are competitive. As long as their location is not too far off of our route or significantly lower than area prices, I'm there! Like most of the Costco locations, this one was not immediately off the freeway but not too far; just trust your GPS...but verify! Standard at all Costco gas pump locations is the one way flow; everyone enters and leaves in the same direction to alleviate traffic jams. The hoses are designed to reach either left or right side filler pipes so any open pump will work fine. And there is a lane between each set of pumps so that if you are not in front position, you have room to pull around. The negatives are that none of the Costco gas stations have restrooms or any provision for cleaning your windshield. If lower prices are more important to you than restrooms or a clean windshield, Costco gas may be for you. But Costco membership is required. read more

I went to Costco with my sister. I live alone but was able to find a few things I could use at my condo. I noticed the store was fully stocked and very organized. It was busy but not crowded. We were able to shop freely and check out without much of a wait. The greeter was so friendly and welcoming. The staff throughout the store was super helpful and always smiling. Lastly, the sample people were everywhere and totally approachable. A few of the customers were very serious about sampling! Pushy and rude to us and the people behind the tables. Geez! By far my favorite Costco. Super friendly staff in every department. Cashiers are speedy and will get boxes to load the items I bought. The shelves are well stocked and neatly displayed. And of course my favorite.... not crowded!! Every time I shop here it's a dream. Especially during Covid where keeping a distance is import. My highlight was Don at the gas station pump. GREEDY!!! They are now checking your membership when you check out. If is not your face you cannot check out. I am a disabled veteran, and was shopping almost an hour with my wife. She was waiting for the rotisserie chicken. The person doing the chickens would not give one to my wife after he packed it. He waited till he packed a whole oven of chickens before handing them out. This took almost 20mins. I could no longer stand, so I gave my wife who is on the account my member card and my credit card. I went back to the car to sit. They did not let her check out even though she told them she was on the account and left her card home. when she went to the service desk to complain the lady at the check out took her cart to put the items back. They say checking helps you so someone is not using the membership you pay for. This is not true, they want the other person that uses the card to pay for a membership, so to prevent this they treat their customers like they are shopping in a Jail. BULK ME UP There goes the neighborhood in Kenosha. I escape to the North to get back to nature and a much more calmer lifestyle. I don't need these big city box houses following me to my quiet place but you can't stop progress and you can't stop Costco. The nearest Costco from here is about 25 miles away but obviously that was too far for customers to travel. This new location is right off of Highway 50 near Interstate 94 next to Kenosha. At one time this land use to be a farm but the only farm you will find here now is in the produce section. They opened on June 12th 2015 even though I read online that they were opening in August. My Costco insiders tell me that they needed to beat the opening of the Meijer up the road, which opened on June 23rd. Congrats Costco on winning the retail "Grand Opening" race. The same insider said that Costco worked day and night for a month to make sure they opened first. This seems like a great comedy movie script called "Retail War" staring Vince Vaughn & Ben Stiller. This store is your typical Costco except not many people have memberships yet. We walked right into the store past the large crowds that were filling out membership applications. They actually had 6 tables outside the door helping sign up new members. The Kenosha area is on its way to becoming Costco certified. I noticed that the Costco snack bar has replaced the typical Polish Sandwich you find in Chicago with a Brat Sandwich. That's a great culinary choice for the region. Everyone in Wisconsin loves a good brat. I'm sure the Brat Stop Restaurant up the road isn't happy about that. It's only a $1.50 here and that price can't be beat anywhere unless you make it at home. The restaurant has the other typical food you find at Costco. The $1.50 hotdog and soda is always a great deal. If you're looking to save some money for a meal, then grabbing food here is always a great option. My best deal was an official Blackhawks Championship T-shirt for $12.99. Are you kidding me? That's a great price and we're in Wisconsin. I should buy 100 and sell them in Chicago for $19.99. That's a $700 profit for me. Hmmm! Maybe Costco moving into the Kenosha area isn't that bad thing unless they are actually selling the shirts for that same price in Chicago. The Costco Gas Station has also driven the price of gas way down. PDQ Gas Station across the street which is always the lowest in the area has chosen to match the price. Their station was completely packed because not everyone has a Costco membership. Competition is a good thing. When Costco opened it drove even the gas prices near the expressway down by 12 cents. I'm saving over a $1 a gallon from gas prices in Chicago. It's actually worth it for me to just drive up here to fill up my gas tank. Here is some words of warning to all you new Wisconsin Costco Members. Consider this place a $500 lunch stop. You and the family will be walking around enjoying the pleutra of bite size snacks and before you know it your cart is packed full of stuff. You go to check out and wonder did I really just buy all of that stuff? Yes you did! It really adds up fast. So you will walk out of there with a $500 lunch. Trust me and have a good laugh the first time it happens to you. Welcome to Kenosha. I'm a Costco fan and by having you nearby I'm going to save money when I need to buy stuff. I love this store, and I offer a suggestion. Would love to be able to find your water easier. I was looking for Kirkland Brand water. I found a water section near the back beverage area, there were a few brands, but no Kirkland brand. I walked the aisles nearby, still looking for the rest of the water selection. Next, I asked an employee where the Kirkland water was, he pointed to the water I just looked at, I told him the Kirkland brand was not there. He said that was unusual, he then said he would check with someone else. He came back and told me it was against the wall. I asked which wall, he said probably that one.m, pointing. I did not find any more water. We finally left without getting water at Costco, this was turning into too much work! Typically, I am able to return/exchange products without hassle. This Costco is awful about returns. I tried to return (or even exchange) a box of items, with multiple defects. The woman working the customer service counter was not about it. She wanted me to walk back to grab a box of the same item, open the new box to swap out the defected items. What? Just take my box of jacked up items & give me the new box..? Thankfully, this is not my Costco, we were in the area. Costco in Lake in the Hills is where it's at. read more
