I highly recommed Cousins Roofing and repair. I had a repair done on the front of my home and was…read morevery concerned that the work would not be done to my high stands. The work done by Christian was done perfectly. He was knowledgeable, friendly and did a GREAT job. I was so impressed with Christian and his work that I scheduled a new roof appointment. I finally found a contractor and company that was AMAZING. Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying if you have a house that wasn't last updated in the 70s, I give them a 4…read more That was not the case for us, and although attempts were made to correct what has happened, it ultimately shouldn't have gotten this far and should have been done right and I do not think we have a siding that will hold up as long as it says it should for these reasons. Now we'll just have to wait and see. Aesthetically it looks great. Neighbors love the look and right now that is all we have to hold on too and maybe it will last a few years. If fixes need to happen it will be from someone else. The problem started with the sheathing in our house which is brittle and was covered by the original metal siding from the 70's. When that came down we didn't see what was underneath, because it was quickly covered with house wrap. It wasn't until we went to the attic where a bunch of fiberboard was blown out from nails that we could see the issue. In our contract it says if that needs to be replaced we will pay x amount more for that, but they chose to not replace and put our new fiber cement siding over it. I do understand that some people may skip that step but we should have been made aware and given the choice. When the install was said to be done the caulking used was the same on 2 1/2 sides and 1 1/2 was different. They did fix that. Windows were missed multiple times and I had to go around to each one and have them address them after 2 visits. One of the gable vents was leaking so they did have to come back and correct that also. James Hardie did come out at our request initiated by Cousins and says that install is correct for their product and Cousins was there also and they did recommend a few touch ups which I think were done today. Calvin was responsive with these issues, but I think each step especially on the older homes needs closer evaluation to prevent this in the future. Hope ours was someone else's advantage and it gets addressed.

We are in the process of remodeling our downstairs bathroom. We had a contractor come in who gave…read moreus an estimate and then set us loose to go find tiles and accessories for the bathroom. For the most part I am a practical person. . . But sometimes I like to go a bit above and beyond. Our friend recommended that we make an appointment with the designer at 84 Lumber. That is what we did. The showroom is on the top floor and let me say that their designs are beautiful. I was honest and told the designer, Kristin, that I didn't have an idea in mind but I would know what I wanted when I saw it. I'm sure for a designer those words are frustrating to hear. However, she was extremely patient with me. She started showing me samples. At first I was like . . ."wellllll these are nice . . .but not me." Then BAM! I saw it! The tile I knew was meant for me! I started getting excited! Kristin saw where my mind was going and started pulling tile to accompany the one I picked for the shower walls. It became apparent that I am big on texture. I wanted texture everywhere! In a little over an hour I had picked shower tile, accent tile for the shower, shower floor tile, bathroom floor tile and grout. I was beyond happy with my choices. I asked the designer what she thought of my choices and she said they were very nice. My husband said, "you have to say that!" She said that if she had not liked a choice I was making or thought it didn't flow she would have tried to steer me in a different direction. That was nice to know. I know that my tastes are different than most peoples. I don't want what everyone else has. It was nice to know though, that she would have been honest if my choices didn't look nice together. Our tile is ordered and will be in soon. I can't wait to see the finished product!!! Now, of course I want to remodel my main bathroom . . . . . LOL

I guess the best I can say is that the job is done and the railing is secure. However for the price…read moreI paid I expected MUCH better craftsmanship and customer service. Although, initially he did come back twice to correct his poor workmanship ie: the plastic covering the spindles on the steps was not angled so they weren't secured (on multiple rungs). His answer was "I guess I wasn't paying enough attention", which at that point sent up a red flag. He NEVER came back to replace the part of the railing where the mitre cut was so off that I could have done better and the first thing I see when I walk out on my deck . See pictures below! I also want to add, that the ONLY time the owner of the company (who was my contact person) answered his phone was when he wanted my final payment. Otherwise, I had to leave a message and and wait a minimum of 3 days for return call. When the owner came out to see the work and showed him the big gash in my newly stained steps his answer was "things happen ". Never offering to fix it. The job was started on September 6th, "completed" only a few days later. Have been waiting since the beginning of October for the rest of the issues to be resolved and now it's the beginning of November. Once again....for the amount of money I paid I expected much better craftsmanship ship and customer service. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
