I was a new patient (and from out of the area) and therefore I expected the typical routine of having to go through a full examine, consultation, x-rays, etc. This is what usually causes me to 'put-off' going to the Dentist. Although I understand the necessity, sometimes I feel it's just a bit much and overwhelming. I had a small need/concern with my tooth and Robert Hodous took me right in, addressed and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at the fact that he didn't push a 'new patient' work up on me and make me go through all the motions before fixing the problem. Not only were they scary and pretty much yelled for me to put my hands up (i raised to let them know they were hurting me) and then when i said the drill felt too hot on my teeth she basically called me a liar and i quote her words "it doesnt hurt youve been numbed". didnt even take a break to let it cool just kept drilling. for somebody whos fearful of the dentist it was super traumatizing and unhelpful. not even soft spoken when i was obviously scared. but here i am a year- year and a half later looking for new dentist who have to perscribe me medication to ease my anxiety of going at all because this experience confirmed all my fears of going to the dentist. Then they said because of how they billed my insurance (in a way where they get more money of course) I would have to pay a $100 Deductible despite the cleaning being the EXACT same as a normal cleaning, which Insurance would cover in full. Then they kept trying to upsell me on some laser cleaning nonsense as well as trying to nickel and dime me by trying to charge me for fluoride and things. THEN they tried coming back a month later and saying I owed $200 MORE for xrays, which I told them I wouldn't be paying. It's clear this company is just a dental chop shop where they just try to cram as many people in as possible, and bill them in a way where they they can extract every last penny possible. The fact that that I had to pay $100 for a NORMAL cleaning, despite it being covered by insurance is outrageous. Avoid this place at all cost.
