Houston Galaxy Halloween is a decent Halloween shop with plenty of parking. They have a huge…read moreselection of costumes, masks, accessories, and decor. The pricing was comparable to Spirit Halloween, cheaper in some areas and a tad bit more expensive in others, but reasonable. My biggest takeaway, however, was that we were being followed throughout the store. I was with my mom and husband so it felt humiliating, especially because they have cameras in the store. We were looking at plastic animal skeletons and two employees came over pretending to look through stock and kept watching us. Then the owner, I believe, came up to talk to us. Now, all the staff are nice and helpful and the owner was so sweet, but I didn't like being followed around the store because I kept looking at the employees eyeing us in the aisles which looks suspicious of course. I did buy a skeleton bear but because of that entire visit, I won't be coming back. I've been stalked before and definitely don't like it when I'm shopping.

My card was charged 3 different times for the same amount totaling $431.85 for 2 children costumes. I called the store and spoke to Larry Jones who assured me my card would be refunded the following day. When it was not refunded, I went back to the store and spoke to him in person, and also had to exchange my costumes because one defective and the other was missing parts. Mr. Jones asked me to give the refund until Tuesday of the following week which I did. As of today, 11/24/2025, I still have not received my refund, and they are no longer answering my calls or responding to my messages. I had to file a dispute with my bank, and it is going to take until February of 2026 for the claim to be finalized. So, I will not receive my refund until next year. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service.

So we don't have to ride to 3 different parking lot trailers to find what we want at a decent price. Also, they have typically lit just about everything off in the store and will give you their opinion. No used car salesmen here - if they don't like it as much, then they have no problem telling you (if you ask).

You have to spend it all on fireworks or you can't keep any of it, then I could buy everything I want! If you love fireworks like me, this is the place.
