After many promised installation dates, this company finally got around to installing a gate in…read morelate 2019, which has been purchased much earlier in the year from Lowe's. In July 2020, one side of the gate fell off (after very little use). All of the screws were put in on an angle, one braking off in the post, because the gate was put on while installing the face plate to the post to save a step, instead of screwing the bolts straight on. The face plate also is flaking paint. After myriad discussions with Lowe's in which the installer promised to contact me, they put me in touch directly with Contractor. He promised he would be over first thing in the morning . After calling Lowe's again in which they contacted him, he showed to "take a look". He said the screws were put in wrong. He said the posts had shifted and a new poles was needed. He said it was Lowe's fault because they were given the wrong screws. When asked why he would install the gate with the wrong screws, he just walked away. This reflects poorly on Lowe's. Post script: A gate that falls off and can't be used is a functional not aesthetic issue. One screw even broke off in the post. You said you installed the gate with the wrong screws given to you by Lowe's. No handyman touched the gate, just observed the issues. We have waited a long time to have a functional gate. My husband put two screws in straight on to see if we could keep the gate upright after waiting so long for a fix. He stopped because it was impossible to align. We have the gate bolstered upright with a block of wood to keep our dogs In and access our backyard. Nice try shifting blame.

The foreman was a delightful older man who has since retired. We moved back into our new home 2 and a half years ago and I had to repair the plumbing already. They did a floor repair and it's buckling again in the same spot because they didn't do a proper install. Forgot to mention the loose flooring on the steps and no underlayment on the linoleum so it bubbled up. It was probably hard for them to find good help during that time but this is unacceptable.
